I've been watching Kanade Sato (drummer) since she was an amazingly talented little girl, and now it's so rewarding to watch and hear her play as a magnificent, super-talented adult! 🤩🤩🥁🥁🎼🎵🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant band. I love that they aren’t just another metal band. And I love metal too. But they have varied music. And they write sophisticated and mature songs. Fantastic group. Universe class.
Not usually into fusion rock, but these girls are wonderful. Worthy of a Grammy this song and performance. Love their other three songs too. Another J Girl band making masterpieces for us to love.
Love this song! Love this band! I do not know how not to sound like a broken record but Japanese lady musicians just are top tier and have taken over the music scene for me.
Just love every thing about this gives me Steely Dan vibes and lots of others find it reminds them of Toto as well . I am looking forward to more from them.
I'm pretty sure that Lisa X is still really young so this band might be around for a very long time. They are for lack of a better word "classy" I really like them.
It would have been unfair not to mention Wakazaemon fantastic bass lines (she's mentioned in the video credits though), thx Old Mr B 👍. With Kanade, she create a real swinging but virtuosic rythm section. Obviously, and according to their messages on X, she loves playing with them and "hope to collaborate more in the future" - I suppose it means she can't be an official member now, either because of her busy agenda, or for contractual reasons. Speaking of Kotono, I've grown to love her, and find that her soft, flowing tone blends perfectly with the guitars tone. She allows the bad to be accessible to an audience that might not otherwise be very interested in pure intrumental virtuosity.
I do believe that Wakazaemon, will be touring in the U.S.A. and she ia on my other list, I think you know what I mean by that, and it would be nice if Kanade, becomes a full time member of the band.
I will spread some love for Kotono. She is a wonderful singer and must have a difficult time with the variety of music Koiai has produced. Rina was also great, but it’s starting to sound like the Yui-Metal fans at times. I’m also a Saki fan (Nemophila, Mary’s Blood, Destrose) and hope everyone can simply enjoy the future. I personally think this is one of the better songs by Koiai. I simply love the fusion of many styles. I’m looking forward to their new album. Take Care. 💙💙
This group is a magnificent revelation for me. Like Kotono who has a sublime voice. That being said, when you see who makes up the group, it can't be mediocre. These young women are all among the best musicians in the world. Only small regret: in all the videos I've seen, I find that Hazuki is not highlighted enough compared to Lisa-X. But that's just my humble opinion and I love Lisa-X.
@@johnpaul4784 I agree with you. A small regret! Hazuki as well as Lisa-X are two of my top guitarists. I wish Hazuki was featured more, but this is Lisa’s band and still relatively new. Hazuki normally appears and even talks about being a big sister to Lisa. They have worked together for something like 7 years now. Hazuki has Nemophila and I’m ecstatic that she supports the future in any form. I unquestionably, love both guitarists and all of Koiai. EDIT: it is becoming more difficult to know who is the, “little sister” and the “big sister.” Although I always enjoy Hazuki in the limelight, keep going Lisa!

If we are focused more on presentation (than on favorites), when a leader is called for, it makes sense for it to go to Li-sa-X more often. Just giving my honest opinion.
I mean I get it. Hazuki doesn’t have a solo in this song, but she is as important as Lisa X. With that main riff particularly. But that’s just this song. In general she is every bit as important as Lisa X. Take ‘One Way Or Another’ for instance (a fantastic and inspirational song), Hazuki’s solo on that is literally THE PERFECT SOLO. It may be short but by god it is brilliant. I think this band is genius, not just because they write great songs and have excellent variation of styles, but also they compliment eachother. They all have their time in the spotlight so to speak.

Tons of skill and talent at work. for me though a touch too much of "I need a metal ballad for my new flick! No i don't have the budget for the big names. Sorry just the way the song was constructed. Perhaps it is the virus I've got so I'll listen again when I'm all better. OH and yes that was one hell of a drum workout.
Hey Mr. X 😉. Yeah, that's the sound i love to hear from Lisa-X/Koiai. Strong 80s progpop vibes like Asia with jazzy/metal things, very unique and refreshing. At least musically. But hmmmm this singer doesn't t fit at all to the quality of the music. The departure of Rina is a very big loss indeed. stay strong 🤘
Based on whatever feedback they’ve been getting, Koiai seems to be centering around the instrumentals more lately. I think if they had an even more talented singer, the band would center too heavily around her, while I would prefer that the singer is perceived as just an addition to the band, rather than a driving force to it. For example, Kanade Sato is my favorite member of Koiai, important for making ‘Come See Me’ as good as it is (in my opinion), while Li-sa-X’s old band focused more on a singer than actually having a band, which doesn’t work for me. So far, everything is a giant improvement from where I’m sitting. I also like the sound of Kotono’s vocals, which I think could also be a selling point, rather than just rating her singing ability versus some others. But overall, the singer hasn’t really been my highest interest in bands. My favorite band is Lovebites, but I don’t prefer Asami over other singers. Not everyone prefers the Band-Maid singer either, but both of these bands have become popular anyway. The instrumentals seem to matter more with a lot of Japanese bands.
