for the record this was the party after the first live show Elvis had done in 9 years. It was August 1969 in Vegas (not 1970 or 1968). Very fun to watch. Smaller clips of this footage have been around for many many years. We will never see another Elvis.

I read all the books by Larry and saw all his interviews after Elvis's death he used to tell the people : what a kind generous,considerate,spirtual person he was besies his magic as performer. He helped Elvis answering the questions that nobody around him was able to understand. As you know Elvis was a searcher all his life, his thirst for knowledge was unquenchable and Larry inspired him. Some members of MM, and especially Priscilla, didn't like him, resented him because they were jalous of the long time he spent with Elvis Larry is an expert, spiritual mentor and was a true Elvis' friend. It was clear to see how much they had enjoyed the show, from the facial expressions and comments. Elvis was being praised by those around him for the fantastic performance he,d just given, Elvis as ever humble and gracious in his acceptance of such accolades. Elvis looked amazing, and proud, his wife was in the room also as well as many of his mm guys. Ps that's not the leather suit he wore for the 68 special. What was great to here was Elvis even though surrounded by celebritys of the highest calibre showed no sign of arrogance nor ego, he remained the same whether amongst paupers or princes, he was raised that way. I wish that Elvis could have been around other celebrities more often. He had no peers in the truest sense of the word but I think that if he'd been around guys like Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Burt Reynolds, & tons more I could name that were big (None of them as big as Elvis of course) more then he would've felt less isolated & less alone. Even though he was almost constantly surrounded by acolytes he often felt alone because of the glare of the spotlight upon him.
