- In this video, Logee's horticulturist and third generation owner, Byron Martin, talks about this amazing Washington navel orange tree that has been in the Logee's greenhouses since the 1960's. The Washington navel orange tree is one of the most popular citrus trees because it's low maintenance and easy to grow. But what makes this particular specimen even more interesting is the fact that multiple citrus fruit varieties have been grafted into its canopy, giving it a total of 8 different fruit varieties all in one tree:
1. Washington Navel Orange (Citrus sinensis)
2. Robertson Navel Orange (Citrus sinensis)
3. Blood Orange 'Sanguenelli' (Citrus sinensis)
4. Temple Orange (Citrus reticulata x Citrus sinensis)
5. Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi)
6. Valencia Orange (Citrus sinensis)
7. Tangerine 'Fairchild' (Citrus clementina x Citrus tangelo)
8. Tangerine 'Dancy' (Citrus reticulata)
