    Please I don’t think you’re shown a failed injector seal and you actually removing it from an engine - as this is the main reason for all the carbon in the intake manifold is that correct ?

    • @MrNiceGuy94
      @MrNiceGuy94  3 місяці тому

      If I don't forget I will show them, as I have got a loads of them, Dan said he will make a necklace of them for her daughter 😂😂😂
      The carbon inside the intake manifold is caused by the EGR.

    What is wrong with the camshaft, is there a material problem or what?

    • @caileme
      @caileme 4 місяці тому +1

      Mazda had a faulty batch of exhaust camshafts go into the engines, mainly in engines made from 2014 to 2016. Mazda issued a TSB about it.

      @@caileme thanks, what are the common symptoms for that?

    • @caileme
      @caileme 4 місяці тому +1

      @@-DejanK- Typically the fuel mileage will be poor because of frequent DPF regenerations. I-Stop doesn't work for very long because of the regens. Because the cam wear doesn't allow the exhaust valve to fully open, the inlet and EGR system quickly carbons up. Check the MAF sensor, if the end of it is carboned up then the inlet system system and EGR components need a decarbon. If the mileage is low then this strongly indicates a cam shaft issue. It will start throwing fault codes, especially P0101. You put your foot on the brake and the dash lights up or you activate SCBS and it throws a fault. When the cams wear, the vaccum pump and turbos have a high failure rate because of low oil pressure (see next point). Low oil pressure because the oil thickens with sludge from the cams, this blocks the oil pickup strainer. There is no way to check the exhaust cam shaft, you have to remove the valve cover to get a look at it. Or you can drop the oil pan, if the oil pickup strainer is blocked then it's almost guaranteed your exhaust cam shaft lobes are worn.

      @@caileme hm, mine is 2017, is there any serial number of this affected camshaft maybe?

    • @caileme
      @caileme 4 місяці тому +1

      @@-DejanK- afaik, the problem started in 2013 and went thru to engines made up to 2017 although I have heard of 2018 engines with exhaust cam shaft issues and replacement engines getting installed in 2020 and later. Even though Mazda know its a problem, they did nothing about it. They wait till the engine fails and then fight tooth and nail to deny it, their fall back position is you didn't maintain it properly and do oil changes correctly. There are a number of court cases going on around the world about this engine and this problem. If you want a copy of the TSB then let me know otherwise the info you want is as follows from the TSB:-
      BEGINNING VIN & DATE OF MODIFICATION
      Mazda3:
      EC Spec: JMZBM**** ** 112007 September 17, 2013
      Mazda6:
      EC Spec: JMZGJ**** ** 148781 September 17, 2013
      ADR Spec: JM0GJ**** ** 122521 September 17, 2013
      CX-5:
      EC Spec: JMZKE**** ** 248119 September 17, 2013
      UK Spec: JMZKE**** ** 163230 September 17, 2013
      ADR Spec: JM0KE**** ** 224059 September 17, 2013
      For reference only:
      The beginning engine no. of the modification is as following:
      Mazda3 (BM) and Mazda6 (GJ): SH3-0352618
      CX-5 (KE): SH3-0352072
      Service part (replacement engine): From SH3-0352618
      There is also a recent TSB issued by Mazda that states the engine must be decarboned every 60k kms. Dealers are charging around US$2000 upwards for the pleasure of doing this. What a nice surprise you are in for when you take the car in for a regular service and they drop this on you.....
