I am currently residing in India, and recently I received a job offer from Germany. In the email sent by the recruiter, various details were mentioned, including salary and other benefits. One aspect that caught my attention was the pension plan, which stated "employer's contribution to the pension scheme €30.00 gross/monthly." Normally, the contribution rate for the pension scheme is 18.6% of the gross salary, with both the employee and employer contributing 9.3% each. However, I am uncertain as to why the mentioned contribution is significantly lower than this standard rate.I would greatly appreciate your assistance in addressing my query.

I have once query, I have recently changed my first name legally in Maharashtra using Gazette Notification. Using same I have updated my new name in all the Public docs, Passport and in Current Employer register. However, my all educational documents are still with the old Name. Will it create a problem during Visa Process??

No it will not create a problem, you just have to submit the gazette certificate at the time of an appointment. Also specifically mention this point at the time of interview and handover the gazette to the interviewer

I have asked my Employer to provide offer letter / contract and the Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis, they said they will provide the needful. When I asked for Certificate about compulsory health insurance (Gesetzliche Kranenversicherung) from German employer valid from date of employment. The Employer replied "These documents show that the employment is subject to social insurance, so that a certificate of health insurance is not necessary (we also do not issue these as a matter of principle)"
So, please suggest what to do? Do I need to have a separate health insurance? If so how?

In that case you can take only travel insurance and once you reached to Germany you can apply for the public insurance (it’s easy to get one)
For travel insurance I took Tata AIG, you can try that

You can use the exchange rate 2 3 days prior to your appointment (actual rate on the date of appointment actually doesn’t matter)

Yes you also have to show bank funds but I would recommend you to open a blocked account it’s very good way to show your available funds

Thanks. If its an employment visa then usually it depends on the documents you have provided and the consulate you have applied with. But ideally you should get an approval within 1 to 2 months (As per embassy it should be maximum 90 working days)

I think it’s always better to have an original documents with you so you can ask your employer to sign it and send it to you via post
Or you can try with a copy of it and if the embassy asked you for original one then you can request your employer to send it but it may increase the timeline for the complete process.

You can apply from Bangalore vfs center is your current residence is more than 6 months and you have a proof for that. Or you can apply from Delhi as Bihar comes under the Delhi embassy region.

As per the German consulate you have to mention your highest qualification degree. And here I would recommend to get your MCM degree recognised and processed with it. So that it won’t create any problem in future and provide complete information to consulate

Yes that would be ok. But anyway you can ask your health insurance provider that you will be coming a week before and ask them to provide from the start date of the arrival.

A friend of mine has applied for blue card visa for Germany ,he is from Mumbai but he is living in benglore from past 1 year with us at our rented apartment, the rent agreement and everything else is on my husbands name ,but since he is in benglore from past year , he took appointment at benglore vfs
The question is , while going for his blue card visa appointment ,what documents needs to carried as a proof of stay in benglore since he is from Mumbai ?
I guess in that situation he need a letter from your husband stating that your friend is living at his place from past 1 year. And if he was working in Bangalore then the letter from his employer also works (in current WFH situation I’m not sure how does it works)

it works both the ways. You can take an appointment together for you its employment and for your husband and daughter it will be dependent. I guess you can select the category blue card + dependent (if you are on blue card category)

Excellent content and very informative videos. I'm planning to migrate to Germany with my family. I'm an IT professional with sufficient experience. My wife is also an IT professional with sufficient experience. In this case which path I should choose? Should we both apply for job seekers visa or one should get job seekers and when he/she gets the job, another one would join as a dependent. In this case, the one who has joined as a dependent, he/she can apply for work visa directly? If not then what can we do in this case? Appreciate it.
I think in my opinion one should go for job seeker visa, come to germany and once you got a job then other person should apply for dependent visa.
And in case of dependent visa the dependent will be eligible for the work permit directly

What is difference between employment visa and employment visa skilled worker. How do I know which visa category is suitable for me? I am an IT Specialist. Not sure if I fall under skilled worker.
Skilled worker visa is for person with vocational training. For IT specialist you should choose employment visa.

You need to show health insurance to consulate. In your case you have only confirmation of it and not the insurance number and other details.
So we recommend you to but one travel + health insurance which will cover your travel from India to Germany and also visa stamping process. Once you will be in Germany you should get your health Insurance from your company.

Now regarding your question I would say that as far as I know its not necessary or written anywhere that your documents should be in English so it shouldn't be an issue.
But I saw many different contracts like employment contract, house contract and other which are in both German and English (etseq.law.harvard.edu/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/GermanEnglishVertragExample-210x350.bmp) so if its possible that your employer can provide you a contract like that its always better.

Actually you have to show them valid insurance from the date of your landing in Germany and in that case your insurance confirmation should work. But I would strongly recommend you to get one travel + Health insurance from India itself so that it wont be a problem from your end. All the best to you

Hello yes they may ask you for accommodation proof. If you have them its always better to keep it with you.
Also you have to book an appointment for D Visa stamping once you got the visa approval. you have to select the correct appointment category for your visa category

I have one doubt.
I have an employment offer from Germany with the eligibility for Bluecard. So my doubt is, is there any address verification done at the time of Visa process in VFS? I am asking this as I have moved to Delhi last year and have been staying with my parents here for more than past 6 months and my permanent address in passport is different, it is having the address of different state which falls under the jurisdiction of VFS Bangalore. VFS advised me to book appointment in Delhi center itself, but I had a doubt that do I need to provide any additional documents as the address the in the passport is different? Any inputs on this will be very helpful.

It doesn’t matter if your address is different than your current address. As you mentioned you are living in Delhi jurisdiction from more than 6 months so you can go with Delhi VFS and no address verification is done in this case.

However they gave me a job contract which is unsigned and says that they can only sign it after the visa approval. However they had given the declaration of employment contract duly signed. Is this unsigned job contract valid for visa application.

I have blue card work visa appointment scheduled at Mumbai centre..
What should be the name on DD , as per mentioned on vfs website is shows as :
“Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mumbai”
But the bank ppl say ,it’s not possible to put such a long name in DD as there is characters length restrictions ..
What should I do in such case.. could you please help me with the name you mentioned on ur DD for visa fees .

You can ask them to remove the , (comma) in the name and then I guess it will work. But if it still didn’t work then ask them to write the remaining name with hand on DD and get it signed and stamped by the branch manager
