Nice one , I specially liked the way u have replied to comments like 75k is okayish for family .kudos to u. I stay in uk and I realised 75 k is low for family , before coming here every1 said 75k is awesome, but if someone is earning above 30 Lakhs in india, it is a downgrade of standards , one can afford a lot with 30 lpa in india (lavish life)
Hi Shilpa, thanks. Totally agree with you that if someone earns decent money in India then one can afford more lavish life in India than here.

am in 12th class right now want to persive bachelors abroad in buisness management or vetrinary medicine , will you suggest Germany for that ?? And also tell that is German language really hard to learn ??
Learning German is challenging. For some it is more challenging than the others. If a person is linguistic, that person will pick it faster.
Business Management and Veterinary Medicine are two very different fields. It will help if you first make up your mind for the course of your interest.
I haven't seen many people from India enrolling for Veterinary Medicine in Germany - I might be wrong due to lack of information.
But the Business Management course is indeed popular.

Hai bro. Thank you so much for the info you usually share with us. I'm Mahesh and having 10+ experience in the construction project management industry. I'm trying for a Job seeker visa for Germany. My worry is once I come over here where I can get economic accommodation for a couple of months and how to search for a job. plz reply me if u get free time. thank you so much for ur time, assistance and info....
Hi Mahesh, the answer to this question also depends on which city would choose to settle here during job search phase.
Finding accomodation:
Generally, shared accomodations are cheap compared to living individually. Shared flats in Germany are known as WG (Wohngemeinschaft). You can search for such accomodations on WG-Gesucht portal.
For individual accomodations use portals like ImmobilienScout24, Immowelt, Immonet.. there are several other such portals. You can also search for studio apartment for less expensive and short term accomodation.
Searching job in Germany:
Start by shortlisting companies for your field. Check their website directly for openings.
Use platforms like LinkedIn, XING and stepstone to search and shortlist job openings.
You can also check Arbeitsagentur website for job openings.
If you know someone already working in this field here, ask them for reference at their workplace. Networking helps to reach out to employers and find right opportunities.
I hope this helps. Best wishes!

Hi,
jahaan tak meri jankari hai aap Schengen visa par aakar Temporary Residence Permit (TRC) ke liye apply nahi kar sakte. Schengen visa generally tourist purpose ke liye hai.
TRC aapko 4 cases mein milta hai:
1. Employment purposes
2. Study purposes
3. Marriage purposes
4. EU Blue Card
TRC 2 saal se 2.5 saal ke liye milta hai lekin time to time valid reasons hone par extend ho sakta hai. Valid reasons jaise students ko study complete hone ke baad job search karne ke liye. Already job karte hain to timely extend hota rehta hai. Uske baad agar EU Blue card hai aur B1 language certificate hai to 21 mahine baad permanent residence (PR) ke liye apply kar sakte hain. Baaki cases mein 3-5 saal ke beech PR ke Lite apply kar sakte hain.
Sir, My wife got an offer letter from German institute for the job of Assistant librarian in Berlin. She offered the Annual package of 25600 Euro. Is it good for beginning?
Hi Naresh, I'm not sure about the salary of an assistant librarian. But if you ask me just about gross salary as 25,600 then I would say that it is on the lower side. It might be the starting salary for this profile and in fact a good opportunity to start a professional journey in Berlin. This will bring more opportunities in the future. But if I just look at the salary number, it seems a little low. Librarian salary is not very high in general though.

Which country in Europe detuct less amount of tax from our salary. ???
Bulgaria has the least tax in the European Union, around 10%, if I'm not wrong.
But then such countries with low taxes also have struggling economies, less social security and social benefits, and less job opportunities.

Hi Sunita, thanks for reaching out. Students going to public schools in Germany get free education. Private international schools on the other hand are quite expensive. Hey dude! Very informative video. If one is making 2.5 lakhs in India then it's not advisable to come to Germany if motive is to earn more money?
Yes. It's not a wise choice to go to Germany just to make money if you are making 2.5 Lakhs Per Month. Because if you are spending 10 lakhs per year you can still save around 12-15 lakhs per year after deduction of taxes. So it makes a lot of sense to stay in India and live a luxurious Life

That is an excellent thought!

Sir mai aapse ek question karunga. Sir i m from lower middle class family don't have our own house and dad's income is 20,000 in which 10,000 paid in rent . Should i take risk to come germany by taking loan . Sir agar loan bhi lunga to mom dad ko interest bhi bharna padega na 😞.
Hi Sumit,
Main samajh sakta hoon ki ye kitna mushkil decision hoga aapke aur aapki family ke liye. Agar aap Germany loan lekar padhaai ke liye ana chahte hain to bhi safar behad mushkil rehne waala hai. Agar aap padhaai mein kushal hain to scholarship milne se jaroor aapko is situation mein help milegi. Thodi air research karein aur dekhe ki kya kya options hain aapke paas. Germany aane ka decision lete hain to shuru ke kuch saal behad challenging rahenge, lekin long term mein aapko jaroor fayda milega. Mujhe personally aisa lagta hai ki future mein Germany aane ke options aur bhi asaan honge.

Hello Ajay. Its really helpful and informative video. Believe me, my colleagues who went to Germany, never shared standard salary range (not sure why) but your video undoubtedly clarifies almost many things.
Could you please suggest, how much salary we can expect/ask for 10/11 yrs of experience person in IT for family of 4 members for a decent life in Germany.
Thanks In Advance.
Hi Ishan, thank you for sharing such encouraging feedback. I'm glad information shared in this video was helpful to you.
In my opinion, someone with experience of 10/11 yrs in IT should expect/ask for a salary around 100,000€. A family of 4 can expect a decent life with 85K to 90K+. The more the better. It also depends on the City, for example cities like Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt are on the expensive side.
I have also observed here that some people find 80K as decent salary and some complain even with 110K. But I guess that depends on the individual habits and priorities. I hope this helps.

@@ravi_indian252
Let's understand it with an example. Say someone earns 40,000€ Brutto:
1. After taxes, pension insurance, health insurance and social security contributions that person will get somewhere around 2400€ per month as net salary.
2. Say he is married but doesn't have kids and decides to rent a house for 900€ plus 100€ additional expenses (electricity, internet etc)
3. Remaining amount now is - 1400€
4. It makes a huge difference if that person owns a car or uses public transport. Say to save money he uses public transport - 90€
5. Remaining amount now 1310€ - Let's deduct grocery of 250€ from it
6. Remaining amount - 1060€
5. If going out on weekends - 50 x 4 = 200€ (approximately, for 2 person)
6. Remaining amount - 860€
7. Other miscellaneous expenses (grooming, radio tax etc.) - let's say 100€
8. Remaining amount - 760€
Monthly SAVING - 760€. Which is 31% of his after-tax salary.
With 3000€ as net salary (after tax) and above hypothetical situation, a person should be able to save around 1300€ per month.
Of course this calculation can change based on personal lifestyle and saving habits.
I hope this helps!
Your Vlog is useful, your Second point is Very Helpful because often German Salary, Student Stipend is converted into Indian Currency immediately and then there's a Huge Misunderstanding with a lot of Inferiority Complex. This Currency Conversion affects Later when an Employee or a Student returns back to India..... Lot of Residents start considering that a German Returned Person is "Richie Rich".... which is not True. A German Returned Person not necessarily be a "Richie Rich".

If possible , can you guide me about how much gross salary an IT professional (onsite) with 4 years of work ex with family can demand in Germany.
Also , if possible let me know the same query for 8 years of experience as well for an IT professional.
How much in-hand salary should be sufficient for a couple for decent standard of life and decent savings.
Job profile is SAP consultant for both the cases.
Hi Vaibhav,
This is actually a little tricky to answer. But in my opinion with 4 years experience anything around or above 60K gross salary is decent. For 8 years experience the same number can be pushed to 80K or even more. This is just my opinion based on what I have seen here.
For a couple, if both are working then if in-hand salary is 7K or above per month then they can expect a decent lifestyle and decent savings. If only one partner is earning then even 5K in-hand salary per month is also decent.
I know people (couples) earning less than that and still managing a decent lifestyle. I also know people earning way more than that and as expected, living a level above decent lifestyle.
Above numbers should help you to get an estimate. But this is just my opinion based on my own experiences. Other people might have some other numbers to suggest.
Thank you for such a detailed reply.

Hi, it depends on the skills, field of expertise and work experience. Anyone can join. There are opportunities but it does get difficult with age until unless someone has strong education and experience. It is still possible for any age group though.
Very informative, thanks for sharing 👍
I'm glad you found it informative. Thanks for watching!
Why are you comparing with US? Compare with INDIA we are coming from India nit from us so that we cn get an idea!?
It's not fair if I compare to India. Due to currency value difference, for same role/profile the salary would be 4 times less or even lesser.
For example a fresher IT engineer from an average college in India might be earning somewhere around 6-7 lac INR per annum. That same fresher IT engineer from an average college in Germany might earn 40,000 € per annum (32 Lacs INR) in Germany. Someone living in India would think, wow that's really high salary. Someone in Germany would be like I'm a graduate, it's okayish to start with this salary atleast.
In India 1.5 lacs INR per month can be counted as decent salary. And that person is either well educated or has lots of work experience. Here wages of a labor is more than 1.5 lacs INR per month. But that's not because the labour is more educated or more skilled here, that's because here that salary in Euro is approximately 2000€ (160000 INR). It might sound really high in India due to currency difference. But it's not at all high as per Germany. It's basic minimum per hour wages.
Direct comparison of any role with India is not fair due to currency value difference. It only adds to confusion.
Whereas the currency value of US dollar and Euro from Germany is almost same.
I hope you get my point now.
@@AjayBamel will i lead a better life than in India? As a middle class famly?

Hi Ajay, Thanks a lot for the video very informative. I have a offer in hand of about 75k euros and would be moving in Berlin with my wife and daughter .Is the salary a good one considering mine and my family expenses .Also would I be able to save as per your experience. Your details on tax structure really help me realize important points. How much can I expect to receive in hand after taxes per month ? Please let me know .Thanks
Hi Shreeyash,
75K range in Berlin is somewhere in the middle. It's not a high salary but with the right habits it is a decent salary. You'll definitely be able to save. If you're in tax income group 3 (it is based on family and whether both partners earn or just one) then after taxes, you can expect around 4,100 per month. With correct habits I believe you can still save approximately 40% or more of your after tax salary each month.
You can check yourself your after-tax salary here - www.brutto-netto-rechner.info/
I hope it helps.
Berlin seems affordable if we can save 40 percent it of 75k euros. In London, one can hardly live comfortably forget about saving a lot. May not be enough if one sends kids to private schools where fees are 20k on average.
I would not advice anyone earning 25 lakh per year in India to even consider coming down unless salary is 6 figures plus in Euro or USD.
Totally agree with you on that. With 25L in India one can afford a lot more facilities even luxury (as per Europe's definition). 6 figure salary in Europe is very realistic approach especially in year 2023 when inflation is still hitting hard the saving amount/opportunities.
Thanks for your inputs.

Sir mujhe 2500 par month m koi bola rha h ..roti rhena khanaa pena sara kharcha onka..
Hi Ajay, for someone making 30L in India at the age of 34, is it worth moving to Germany at a package of 86k EUR (70k fixed+ variables), because net income is coming at 3200/- per month after taxes. The city is Cologne. Rent and other expenses are coming as 1600-1800/- eur so leaving very little in the account. Please help
Hi!
If comparison is just about money and how much one can save, I personally feel that 30L at the age of 34 in India, is in a much better position, in comparison to say 75K in Germany. Life in India with decent money is really convenient. One can afford so much in India with this much salary.
But when it comes to quality of life, international exposure, new experiences, life in Germany with a salary of around 75K is a decent deal. Cologne is a beautiful city. Warm and welcoming to immigrants. With this much salary one may not expect high savings (without compromises) but can definitely expect a high quality of life. I have never had a complaint for high taxes here after experiencing medical facilities, social security, infrastructure and educational facilities. But again, 30L in India is really good salary. Now after experiencing life in Germany, I personally feel 30L in India is slightly better deal than 75-80K in Germany. No intention to influence you, just sharing my opinion.
Both options have pros and cons.
It's not an easy decision to make. I would suggest, please make a list to analyse what are your priorities in life and see which option fits better? If you are still not sure, we can discuss this further. All the best!
If I compare your Indian salary and try to put it in the same bracket in Germany then you should get somewhere around 100K or more than that, in my opinion.
@@AjayBamel Thanks Ajay for such a detailed response. I really appreciate that. In India I am living in Chandigarh so expenses are not much.
I have been thinking too much and not able to make the decision. The main problem is marriage also, because I am already late for that and parents are actively looking. At the same time I feel this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience skydiving, Spain , Italy, Switzerland etc.
Do you really think if I take the German opportunity it can hamper my search for a marriage alliance? Because in Canada it's not a problem but I am not sure about Germany. Because a lot of Indians are there in Canada especially Punjabi.
@@AjayBamel Like you suggested I had already prepared a list of pros and cons. I think social security, medical facilities or education won't impact me because I have no plans to settle down there.. because it's difficult to buy a house in Germany, plus I can't imagine my future kids joining German schools. So I thought I will go and explore Europe without worrying about Savings because i am really depressed about this lockdown and work from home in India. I have my ViSa arrived already so need to take a decision in just a week or so.
Please help me in making a decision if you can as a big brother ☺️
@@5123karan If you're open to new experiences, adventures and saving is not that big a concern then I would suggest you to grab this opportunity and explore Europe. Since Cologne is in west Germany, you will have close proximity to countries like France, Netherlands and Belgium, in case you love traveling. You'll also enjoy the work culture and spirit of Europe. You'll definitely like new experiences in Germany and in the rest of Europe!

Hi Ajay, very informative content, adding on can you tell how much is the salary hike we can expect after working for one year within the same company and also if we switch how much % hike we can expect?
Hi Sagar, thanks for your comment. Hike within same company and same role is around 5%. Within same company and new role it could be more. Switching to new company hike can be even more. Because in Germany you are not supposed to share your previous salary. Therefore hike in new company depends on the role there and not on previous salary.

I am earning 50k/ month and i am government employee. Should i move to Germany for my better future or should i carry on with my job?
With current expenses 50K/month is not a high salary in India. But a government job means a lot to many people as it provides lifetime security and other perks. I come from a state where government jobs are kept in high regard irrespective of the salary. It's a settled life. If a government job brings you that kind of security and satisfaction then moving to Germany and putting efforts to find some other job would probably not make you happy.
If it is just about different salary, quality of life and exploring other culture, then moving to Germany could be fruitful. I hope this helps.

Frankfurt City is financial hub in Germany. You'll find many companies in that city relevant to your work experience.

Salary part is little tricky. But my guess would be between 75K to 100K in this field with your experience. Just a guess though.

Hello bro ,, wnha pe car wgera kitne tk mil jayegi ...aur ek person ko kitna time lgta hai well settled hone me ..mtlb gadi ,ghr lene me
@@akshayjaiswal6784
Well settled hone ka time skill-set aur job profile par depend karta hai. Technology/Science field mein kaam karne waale thoda jaldi settle ho jate hain kyonki salary better hai.
Valid license ho to car jaldi li ja sakti hai. Ghar ke liye 5 se 10 saal lag sakte hain. Ya usse bhi jyada agar salary/savings kam hai.
Nayi cars yahaan comparatively mehngi hain. Automobile company par depend karta hai par on an average 20,000€ (basic chhoti car non-luxary brand ki) se lekar 200,000€ tak ki cars available hain. Second hand cars comparatively sasti aur achhi condition mein mil jati hain kyonki roads achhe hain aur logo ki driving habits better hain.
Hi Ajay, what is the scope of insurance field in Germany and are 34 years plus people preffered for the jobs?
Hi Ishi, one thing that I learned really early in Germany is that German people love insurances. This is one of those country where people insure their insurances. People have insurance for insurances. They insure almost everything. Based on this knowledge I can say that this field must have good scope here (no personal experience of working in this field though). But since this field involves lots of client interaction, I also assume that fluent German would be a necessity for the applicant. Age shouldn't be a restriction as long as someone is qualified and feels comfortable with national language here.

Hello Ajay. Thank you for the amazing video. I'm coming to Dusseldorf with my better half and I am only working. Could you please let me know how a couple can live in about 75k eur.
Hi Shubham, congratulations!
The major cost would be rent of the house. If you're able to find a house at reasonable prices (say 900-1100€) then including other expenses like groceries, traveling, tickets, going out on the weekends, electricity etc, you can ensure overall monthly expenses within 2000 - 2200€. Rest could be monthly saving. 75k is a decent salary to start life in Germany. The more the better.

MTech ke apne benefits hain, lekin usme time, energy aur paisa invest karna padta hai. Patience rakhne padte hain full time earning shuru hone tak.
Job lekar aane ka sabse bada benefit ye hai ki aap day one se yahaan earn karna shuru kar dete hain. Kuch logo ko sach mein MTech karne ke bahut ichha hoti hai, to unko karni bhi chahiye. Jinko MTech ki ichha nahi hai aur BTech plus work experience basis par yahaan job milti hai, to job lekar ana kaafi convenient option hai.

Hello!
Iska jwaab single person ki Qualification aur experience par depend karega. Graduate Person jiske kuch saal ka work experience bhi hai 40,000€ gross salary se shuruat hona theek hai.
Kam qualification hone par log isse kam bhi earn karte aur jyada qualification ho to iske upar bhi. Qualification, experience aur field of work important factors hain salary ke liye.
