Most of the Lakers issue has been injuries from the role players. Aside from that LA hasn't been playing good perimeter defense against high prolific 3 pt shooting teams. Plus with all these trade talks they don't need a Dejounte or Lavine. they just have to play with the pieces they have and develop chemistry and it'll all work out. also Ham might not be the best coach but firing him would possibly hurt the Lakers more than help especially since there arent any better subsitutes.

Lakers shouldn't fire Darvin Ham. They may not even have to consider too many new offensive options. I believe Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura are a significant upgrade over the pair of D'Angelo Russell and Vanderbilt. One or both of the latter pair could be traded for superior firepower. But obviously, the Lakers will level up massively with both Vincent and Hachimura back in the lineup.

Go ask Lakers fans how often the Lakers will have a lineup rolling and Ham will then sub them out to put in Prince and Reddish and then keeps them in for the rest of the game rather than going back to who actually plays well. Ham also benched Reaves and D'Angelo for being off for 2-3 games, but will put Prince or Reddish back into games they're sucking in and will keep them in the game playing mid to high 30-37 minutes per game and never threatens to bench them. Darvin Ham punished both DLO and Reaves for daring to have 3 bad games out of 10. But he keeps rewarding Prince or Reddish mostly for having one good or decent game out of 10. Ham's playing favorites and it doesn't matter who earns it. He holds the team back because of that. Trading away all the team's depth for LaVine and having a Westbrook 2.0 situation, or trading for Murray and learning the hard way like the Hawks did that he isn't who you think he is.. would only hurt the Lakers more. Not just because it would screw up their continuity and/or depth. But they also have a coach that even if he got a good thing won't know how to implement it right.

Love your videos, what were your thoughts on the game last night and criticism from the Raptors head coach where he called out the refs for essentially handing the win to the Lakers? He had quite a rant, personally I dont see anything wrong with what he said about the refereeing since there wasn't good consistency throughout the game however 10 intentional fouls at the end definitely didnt help the raps in any way
there was two or three bad fouls called on the raptors, and probably 5 or 6 of the same type of calls not called on the lakers. i watched the game, and then a replay of the 4th quarter. there were some marginal ones in there. but it was clear they were calling the raptors about as close to the rule book as humanly possible, while being about as loose as humanly possible with the lakers. they also called the raptors for 2 fouls that were clear flops without being touched. so it wasn't just a different standard for the teams, but there was some bad calls too.
@@arizona_anime_fan there were definitely missed calls here and there for both teams but a majority of them on the raptors for sure, I'm 100% in the boat of if the Lakers were called for even half of the no calls throughout the first 3 quarters, there would be a very different 4th quarter that we would've seen. Whether the raps won or lost in that situation, we'll never know but from a fan's perspective of what did happen, it wasn't worth the watch by midway through the 4th because of how frustratingly nitpicky the 3 blind mice were getting with us vs almost nothing for the Lakers. One of the stats I saw earlier today was that the Lakers have the highest discrepancy for FTA vs any other team in the league and the team in second was a significant amount lower, so it raises eyebrows as to what's happening with the officials in LA. I agree with you though, it was annoying to watch at times!

I don’t think their in season tournament play was all that special. They got an absolute cupcake schedule and rode that into the finals. The pacers are a great team but one game doesn’t tell you who’s better. But also they know how to slow down a game and their big two came out against the pacers. But the win felt hollow. In a series I’m pretty confident the pacers would funnily enough be able to out pace the lakers
