15-Year-Old Vipin Makes His Kutiyattam Debut (PART 2) | SLICE

Vipin is 15 years old. He is a student at the Kalamandalam School, where performing arts are taught. He has been studying Kutiyattam for three years, the only traditional Sanskrit theatre in India.
Each day, students are subjected to rigorous discipline and intensive trainings. Thanks to the help of their teacher, Sangi, they will learn more than 400 codified gestures and will develop a new body: the actor's body, the Kutiyattam body.
Vipin will soon realise his dream: for the first time, he will act in costume with Rama Chakyar, one of the very few Kutiyattam gurus, heir to a dynasty of famous actors in Kerala. It is a great opportunity for him to become a young professional performer and to perpetuate the fragile chain of transmission.

the swastika predates the nazis and is an auspicious symbol in asiatic faiths..... it is even found in some churches. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika just because the nazis perverted it does not mean the rest has to go to junk.
