Good restoration. I have a few suggestions. Strain relief your replacement wire on the plug and drill ends. Leaving the wires coming out of the drill and plug like they are can result in the insulation rubbing and possibly shorting. Inside the drill, use crimp connectors on or solder the power wires. Twisted wires and electrical tape is not a good solution. And lastly, did you regrease the drill? I didn't see that part but you may have done that off camera. Again, you did a good job on the drill, just some friendly suggestions.
