1) For favorite card I’m going with the new Blastoise SIR from S&V 151! 151 brought me back into the hobby after 2+ decades of being away from it. I love the mysteriousness of the artwork! Blastoise is descending further into the depths of the water. The rising bubbles add to this “descending” effect. It makes me wonder how far down will he go? Will he descend so deep that his surroundings become completely dark? For me, it adds a whole new layer of mystery to Blastoise as a Pokemon. He is always depicted in bright settings with vibrant shades of blue. I love how the darkness of the 151 SIR artwork starkly contrasts almost every other depiction of Blastoise as well as the Squirtle & Worturtle illustration rare artworks from the 151 evolution line. Blastoise SIR from 151 gets a 10/10 for me!! I had the pleasure of pulling it twice opening packs of 151! Most memorable card from a set that I hold near and dear to my heart. 2) Something I achieved that I once thought was impossible. Easy, sobriety. With the help of my family and my (now) wife I am clean and sober for over 2 years now. I should be dead right now but I’m here and I’m so thankful! I love who am I am and who I’ve become! I’ve only been back in the Pokemon hobby for a few months. My wife and I are expecting our first child!! Pokemon is something that has helped fill a void in my life that I didn’t even know existed! Content creators like yourself have allowed me to explore and appreciate an entirely different side of the hobby as well! I feel so blessed that I’ve found a community that not only allows, but actually encourages me to be a kid again while also offering a more “refined”/“business”/“investment” element as well. This hobby and the people in it bring so much joy to my life. After my wife’s first ultrasound when we heard and saw our baby’s heartbeat for the first time I stopped at the nearest Walmart and purchased several products. Some I’ve opened to start collections that can finish before the baby is born. Using the due date as a target deadline date to complete these sets. Other items I will leave sealed to one day open with my child. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. On some level, Pokemon has been with me through my entire life from the time I was 5 (I’m 31 now). Pokemon has given my life a different sense of excitement, purpose and meaning. The idea of sharing it with my children is so cool to me. I love this hobby and the community of people that surround it. Keep up the good work friend! I love watching your videos.
Nice selection I agree with everything, my personal favorite is Leafeon vmax alt art (evolving skies) and lugia v alt art (silver tempest) , birthday Pikachu , and charizard ex alt art 151, because those are my favorite Pokémon
Parents couldn't afford pokemon cards for us very often as a kid but with my first job check I bought a single pack at a gas station and pulled a shining mewtwo (my favorite pokemon) now in my 30s I swear someday I'll get that again.
I haven't even finished the video yet and wanted to say congratulations on your journey both physically and channel wise. My favorite card of all time would have to be the Mew and Mewtwo GX Tag Team Promo (yes the promo) It is, in my opinion, the greatest alternate art card of all time. So much energy and personality behind the Pokemon and for those who have a BFF or are in a relationship can really relate to the dynamics in the art. We've all had this moment. In regards to the goal... I guess finally owning a home. From living in a car for a short period of time to finally having a place to call my own feels really good.
Actually insane. I'm sitting here typing what my favorite card is, and then you start talking about the card lol. Shining Gyarados is a card I had as a kid and I absolutely loved it. The art is incredible and the japanese version has such a great effect on it! I've been tracking eBay for months trying to find one within a price range I can afford but man, it's insanely high even for a PSA 3! A goal I achieved is finally getting promoted after working hard for 5 years with my company. Loving my new role! I'm also working to lose weight now and hoping to be looking like you in several months lol. Congrats on 2k! I'm sure you'll be at 200k in no time. The editing, topics/discussions, thumbnails, etc are superb! I've been watching from the beginning and you're one of the few channels I have the bell notifications on for!
My favourite Pokemon card would have to be (and I know it hasn't been around for long) the Special Illustration Rare for Charizard EX from Paldean Fates. May not be a popular opinion, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I love the abstract art of a terasteralized shiny Charizard! I never thought I'd see anyone come up with a crystallised Pokemon as a concept, and in this card it is illustrated in a gorgeous edgy art, in shiny form - amazing! Charizard in it looks domineering too, in a good way! For me in terms of goals, I remember the time when I thought it was impossible for me to get into the hobby of Pokemon card collecting. With some patience, determination and willpower, I was able to save up by giving up a few things/habits to start my journey and have been quite happy since then!
Honestly, this will sound funny but 151 charizard ex SIR is my all time favorite. First charizard I’ve ever really pulled. I’ve collected back in the 90’s and got back into it in January. Now I’ve 3 binders full of special cards
Favorite card of all time is the Empoleon V from Battle Styles. I started following Pokémon during diamond and pearl when I was 8 and my first starter ever was Piplup. Empoleon is still my favorite Pokémon of all time and gen 4 holds such a timeless part in my heart! Congrats on 2k! It’s been awesome to be a part of the journey! In a past life I wasn’t the same person, I felt stuck in the bad things I was doing and got arrested on some felony charges. That alone felt like too much to handle at the time, but things got worse when the state came and took my newborn son away. I had the most immense pressure put on me and had no clue how I was going to get through it. Going through mandatory rehab and fathering classes to get my son back I realized even in that situation I was still very blessed to have family who were able to and willing to help because there were so many without those family members available. The life I was leading had made my relationship with siblings and parents pretty rocky but the way everyone stepped up to help brought us all closer together and made me realize how much my actions were affecting everyone especially my 2 month old son. Here we are 7 years later I’ve gotten my record expunged and my son has a little brother he helps a ton with. I couldn’t be more blessed. Oh and my favorite Pokémon card at the moment is probably that Raging Bolt ex from temporal forces. Just love the artwork, and your content lol

My favorite card is celebi V from Fusion Strike and celebi Gold Star(ofc), since i grew up watching and loving pokemon4ever with Celebi as the main pokemon! That's why he/she will always have a special place in my heart💚 When i moved to my new house, the entirety of the garden was dead and barren, with will and determination (never used my green hands), I transformed a neglected piece of land into a flourishing garden, blooming with life and color🌻. The proud feeling of achievement was undescribable!! You rock man! Love to see your passion and livelines towards the pokemon tcg, the videos are professional, clear and i enjoy every single one of them! Bro... mega-congrats on the weight loss. I've personally gone from 135 kgs to a low of 78 kg, and like you comfortably sit arounf 85 kgs at 6'2". Respect. And as for Pokemon Cards... my grail is, without question, the 1st Edition Shining Gyarados from Neo Revelations. I don't have one... yet... bet even just looking at photos of it and I can feel the fear in that little dude on the boat eminating from that card. Epic!
My favorite card is the umbreon VMAX. I love the moon and the artwork. I recently had a struggle with anxiety and severe weight gain and focusing on myself has really helped me get through the dark times and lose weight as well!

Favourite is still the OG Charizard, I got that in my first ever booster as a kid (lost all the cards since!). As for an achievement, I recently graduated with an undergraduate program from UCSC. Shortly after, I picked up the pokemon collecting hobby sometime in December and it's consumed me since (in a good way).
Love scyther promo WOTC and the jungle scyther fire!!!! I was very good at testing of any kind especially academics, but, being able to pass a big academic test for a job that paid well was a big achievement for me. This not only benefited me but my family and felt good that I have the ability to to complete big challenges.

congrats on hitting 2k! keep grinding the way you are and i imagine you'll be at 10k in no time my favorite card is the gengar vmax from fusion strike, i know its gotten a lot of popularity lately but it was one of the few cards i really liked prior to getting into the hobby, and i managed to pick it up in early january for a pretty good price! as for achieving a goal, i recently completed CDL school and im scheduled next week for my actual test. i know 6 months ago i was pretty clueless on what i wanted to do with my life, i mostly played games in my free time and had a dead end job. now i feel like i finally have things sorted and i have a solid direction regarding where im going in life
Venasaur Base set holds a lot of memories for me as my first pull as a kid. But funnily enough I definitely thought Shining Gyrados before I heard you mention it at number 5! The card really captures the dramatic/frightening/legendary status of the Pokemon. Having been pulled back into Pokemon following S&V 151 as an adult, it’s been refreshing to hear your interesting content delivered in a calm and professional way that makes you stand out from all the cringe click bait and relentless pick openings. I don’t subscribe very often on UA-cam but this is a no brainer for me and I’m looking forward to your future content

My favorite pokemon is mewtwo ever since I was a kid. When I was younger I was dealing with bad anxiety and overcame it which I didn’t think was possible at the time, talking to people and socializing is so much easier for me now so i’m proud of myself.

Taking your life into your own hands and realizing that you are responsible for yourself and that you can change everything is amazing. One of the best feelings in life. My favorite Pokemon is Dragonite. Since my first game and my first card, he has been and always will be the character that unites my love for this franchise.

My favorite card is my bulbasuar illustration rare for now until I get giritina alt v, and in my life I was thought it would be impossible to not drink all day everyday and it was a hard time but im proud to say im almost 4 years sober and since then my passion for Pokémon has come back full swing. The Entei holo black star promo card is for sure my favorite card of all time. And right now I’m actually working towards my “impossible” I love exercise more than anything but three years ago I ended up with a herniated disc which has now turned into 3 bad discs. I’m working every day to make the healthy right choices with my food and in the gym to get back to being comfortable with my own body 👍
You mentioned my favorite card. The “red Gyarados” that’s is how I called it when I played pokemon silver as a kid. This card means so much to me, it is nostalgia at its finest. I owned a Mint 1st edition copy I bought when I was I college 7 years ago.
I've been helping my fiancée collect Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, and Snorlax cards. We're just starting our collection, but I love that we are able to enjoy the hobby together! We were able to luckily find a nice 1st edition base set bulbasaur PSA 9 to add to our collection. I think she didn't expect to enjoy the journey as much as she has!
Koga ditto. Ditto is my fav because by switching into any Pokémon it covers everyone’s fav Pokémon. Something I once thought impossible was getting into medical school. In America less than 1% of people that apply get in. I grinded on the entrance exam and got a great score and was able to secure a seat into medical school :)
It still blows my mind that you only started this channel a few months ago. The quality is top notch and you're so comfortable and well spoken on camera! I've been subscribed since your second video, and it's been awesome to see you grow. Anyway, to answer your question, my favorite card pretty much depends on the time of day, but right now I absolutely love the Zapdos ex SIR from 151. But the Red's Challenge full art from Unbroken Binds has sentimental value that keeps it near the top of my list at all times. When I got to college, I decided to take up the guitar for the first time. Early on, it felt like I'd never get the hang of it. But I committed to practicing every day and, with the help of some musically gifted friends, I unlocked a passion that really got me through some of the most difficult times of my life. I'm no SRV, but I got good enough to perform at my own shows for a while (before the kids arrived). Now it's a therapeutic hobby that I can turn to in times of stress. Congrats on 2k subs, and even more so, congrats on turning your life around!!

Keep up the great work. Favorite pokemon is Dragonite. Favorite moment was when I dunked a basketball during a summer league game. Only time I have ever dunked in a game setting. It was a fast break but won’t forget it.
I think the Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno promo card from the Sun & Moon Hidden Fates ETB has to be my personal favorite. The artwork is stunning and I can’t get enough of it. My daughter was born 4 1/2 weeks ago and I would consider that my greatest achievement in life. Hoping that she’ll get into the hobby one day. Already ordered some cards for her with the very first one being the full art Jynx TG04 from the Silver Tempest set. Once she’s a bit older I’ll start introducing her to card collecting.

Very happy for you and you deserve to love yourself! ❤ My favourite card of all time is probably the Coro Coro Mew tbh, I absolutely love Mew so much and the colours really pop! Hope I can get a copy one day! In terms of personal milestones, I’ve never had a lot of money and had to really work hard to get where I am. Tbh, it’s one of two things. Originally I wanted to say that getting the PhD program I wanted was my biggest milestone but I actually think it’s finally accepting that I was struggling with my mental health. It took a lot for me to accept it, talk about it openly with those I love and to seek help and I haven’t looked back since. I was in the darkest place I’ve ever been and still have my up and down days (like ever should) but learned to accept myself for who I am and to not be ashamed of being sick.
My favorite Pokémon card of all time is Giovanni’s Persian from Gym Challenge. I would absolutely love a full art version! I was trying for a bachelors degree for about 8 years. I was working full time while I was working on getting it and couldn’t get the classes I needed because of my job so I switched my major from Geology to Geography. I really disliked my job at the time and spending pretty much all of my time dedicated to work and school for 8 years was tough. I’m so happy to say I finally graduated with my bachelors in geography and not only that, but have an amazing job I love in the field. Perseverance pays off!
I’d have to say it’s Rayquaza gold star, I don’t have this card but one day I will! And when I stopped smoking and drinking and went from 230-170 now I feel the best I’ve ever felt !

My favorite Pokémon will always be Venusaur! That Pokémon holds so much love in my heart since the base set days when it first released, I’ll never forget saving my birthday money to walk down the avenues in manhattan NYC with my mom and find a guy with a table full of singles! That Venusaur stared at me for weeks until I finally was able to buy it for $20! I am now continuing to build my Venusaur collection and very happy there’s so many variations to collect
Man that is a tough question! I have to say my favorite of all time might be the original base set Venusaur. It isn't super special but it has such a huge nostalgia factor for me. Venusaur still is my favorite Pokemon since the beginning.
My favourite pokemon card of all time is the Latias/Latios Team Up card - reminds me of my partner and i lol Also, health-wise - i didn't think i'd get back to a state of 'normal', after going in and out of hospital for months, being diagnosed with 3 lifelong illnesses in that time & now i'm finally on top of 2/3 of them. This was only by advocating for myself in medical settings, calling up clinics like i was my own personal receptionist and researching all my symptoms on every corner of the internet... i've been able to meet my amazing partner, actually attend to family-events & just be able to freely move around. I'm not completely over it but man, to be where i am now with some quality of life, i'm just so grateful and proud.
My favorite card is the promo card from Hidden fates ETB, it is so good that card, also hidden fates is from the time I got back to the hobby, bcs my kids starting collecting in school. Congratz with the 2K sub 🎉 😊
I like jolteon a lot, every evolving skies pack that I get is for that purpose, I just start collecting and I now I'm also hunting for the giratina v ult art from lost origin, my achievement is to graduate from medicine, something that back on days I would consider impossible but now I'm living from it and I love it :)

I just recently came back to the hobby. My favorite card is the alt art of Giratina V from lost origin which I am chasing right now. I got my master degree last month which many saw as impossible and even I was not sure about a lot of times. But I got it now. I Hope I can enjoy the hobby for a long time now.
Congrats man, you absolutely deserve it! Overcoming of yourself is the hardest thing in the world, I struggled with my confidence which limited me a lot in my personal life. Fortunately now I believe much more in myself and I do things I was not even able to imagine before (I graduated, gor good job etc.) The most important thing is not to be ashamed about getting help. I love your videos and I also like this glimpse into your personal life and your story. One of my favorite cards is the OG base set Charizard, I also think it’s the king of Pokémon cards. I have a fun story about the time I pulled it as an 8 year old. My Mom bought me two packs of the original base set when it came out. I was obsessed with Pokémon and I wanted to open them right there at the store. I remember my Mom telling me to go open them outside. So I went outside and found a few older kids that were also opening cards. With them was a kid I recognized from school so I went to see what they were doing. I showed them my packs and the told me to open them, I was very excited. I opened the packs and pulled the charizard. I was so happy it became my favorite Pokémon immediately. One of the older kids offered a trade for my charizard card for a different charizard card he had. I was really pressured into the trade by all the other kids around. Turn out that charizard card he gave me was fake! I did everything to try to get it back from that kid but he always said he already traded it away. I was furious and I thought I would never get another charizard card. Fast forward to a few years ago when my girlfriend gave me some Pokémon cards as a gift for my birthday, she knows this story and thought I would like the cards. I absolutely loved it and it made me get into Pokémon cards again. She also told me she has a bunch of old Pokémon cards that she used to have at her parent’s place somewhere. One day she brought those cards and she said “enjoy! Although I doubt you’ll find something good in there”. She was wrong as I found a bunch of old cards with one of them being the base set charizard. The card is from base set 2 and not in perfect condition but the excitement of finding it card again was amazing. I thought it would be impossible, also to get it from her who turned me back into this hobby in the first place was a huge bonus.
I can still remember going to the store with my parents when I was younger and getting a pack of Pokemon cards at the check out, this game has always been so nostalgic for me growing up and I got back into it at the start of last year and haven’t looked back. My favourite Pokemon card of all time is the shining gyrados because firstly it is my favourite Pokemon that I grew to love watching the show and now that I’m a bit more grown up the art work of that card I don’t think has ever been replicated. When I was younger it was always my goal to become a mechanical engineer as I loved to take items apart to understand how they worked. Growing up I never thought I would be able to become one though as both my parent never went to university which made me think I wouldn’t be good enough. They were very supportive though and I was able to reach my dream in 2018 that I had since I was around 6 years old and was able to not only make myself proud but also my parents that helped me every step of the way. I know proudly work as a mechanical engineer and am so grateful to be where I am today. There are always going to be challenges in life, but it is how you react to them that makes you into the person you are and want to be. Every failure is not a failure but a learning opportunity. Always push for your dreams.

My favorite card is base set Charmelon, my older brother gave it to me almost 20 years ago. I’ve love the almost pink red color the Charmelon is. A goal I achieved that I thought was impossible was being the first in my family to go and graduate college. Favorite card is Charizard from celebrations. It was my first chase card. That set in Covid got me into Pokemon cards and luckily I pulled 2 which I gave 1 to my brother who told me about the celebrations set. However, I spent too much money opening packs which would have been better just buying the card as a single. Keep up the work and proud of ur weight loss.thats something I also achieved when I was 15. Always wanting to lose weight and finally I was able to lean up and lose weight.
My favorite Pokémon card of all time is the Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art from Evolving Skies. To be perfectly honest, I actually like the artwork of the regular Rayquaza V Alt Art from Evolving Skies way more, but the Rayquaza VMAX was just the ultimate chase card for me at the time. I was in the middle of my masters degree when Evolving Skies dropped and my head was also in a really dark state. In the end though, I pushed through, got my degree and everything has been uphill pretty much since. Collecting Pokémon cards was the only thing I had at the time, but now I have pretty much everything I could have ever asked for and more because I believed in it and didn’t give up. This card is so special to me and I think many others, because it’s so indicative for a time when the world was upside down right after Covid. I learned that sometimes it just takes some time, discipline and the right people at your side for you to achieve things you thought would be impossible. You can push yourself so far, if you first focus on being in a better state of mind. So for anyone reading this, keep pushing yourself because you never know how close to success you could be. At the same time, cut yourself some slack because good things take time. And maybe most importantly, don’t be afraid to asked for help and talk to the people you like, you will be surprised of how much understanding people around you will have when you tell them what you’re struggling with.
Really enjoying your videos, you should make one giving tips about how to share the hobby with our kids.. Mine are getting older and I would love to share the hobby with them (not my moonbreon tho). Fav card: sleeping dragonite and pikachu stamp box promo, Achivement: my kids. Keep it up

My favorite card has to be the lab mewtwo gx. I don’t know if any other card that immediately brought back memories more than that card. From the minute I saw it I knew that it would be my favorite, regardless of rarity or any other factors. Close second has to be sky pillar Rayquaza with zinnia from evolving skies. I do not understand how this card is so underrated. I guess I love the card arts that are more than just an artists creation, they are arts that are part of what makes that Pokémon is.

I did everything you can think off that was wrong and bad. I am a Christian but I didn’t do anything with my religion but it was for me the only thing left at that time. Now 5 years later I own my a business, I bought a house 2 years ago, I drive a brand new car and to top it all of I got married may 1st! If you are at the bottom the only way is up! God is good! One time in my life that I achieved something I didn’t think I would was when I graduated from college early. It took a lot of hard work and it led me straight to where I am today but I’m proud of myself today for persevering and not letting obstacles stop me 👍 Keep up the excellent content man and congratulations again!
I’ve been subscribed for a while and love you sharing your story, it makes me want to share mine. My favorite card right now is gonna sound weird but it’s the pikachu secret rare from Crown Zenith. I got back into pokemon during crown zenith and it was one of the first big pulls I opened so it has that sentimental value plus I didn’t even know it existed when I opened it so it was very exciting! Something I achieved that I thought was impossible at the time was getting into medical school. I’m graduating this month now and will be a surgeon which I never thought possible growing up since no one in my family is a doctor or went to any sort of upper schooling. I didn’t get in the first time I applied but I didn’t give up and it’s finally paying off!
Inspirational weight loss, man! I cant pick just one card...ill say something a little leftfield - one my all time favourites is Aquapolis Houndoom! But man i really really like the LO Giratina. I trained and managed to complete a 10km during the pandemic..never thoguht id get there but i did!
1) For favorite card I’m going with the new Blastoise SIR from S&V 151! 151 brought me back into the hobby after 2+ decades of being away from it. I love the mysteriousness of the artwork! Blastoise is descending further into the depths of the water. The rising bubbles add to this “descending” effect. It makes me wonder how far down will he go? Will he descend so deep that his surroundings become completely dark? For me, it adds a whole new layer of mystery to Blastoise as a Pokemon. He is always depicted in bright settings with vibrant shades of blue. I love how the darkness of the 151 SIR artwork starkly contrasts almost every other depiction of Blastoise as well as the Squirtle & Worturtle illustration rare artworks from the 151 evolution line. Blastoise SIR from 151 gets a 10/10 for me!! I had the pleasure of pulling it twice opening packs of 151! Most memorable card from a set that I hold near and dear to my heart.
2) Something I achieved that I once thought was impossible. Easy, sobriety. With the help of my family and my (now) wife I am clean and sober for over 2 years now. I should be dead right now but I’m here and I’m so thankful! I love who am I am and who I’ve become! I’ve only been back in the Pokemon hobby for a few months. My wife and I are expecting our first child!! Pokemon is something that has helped fill a void in my life that I didn’t even know existed! Content creators like yourself have allowed me to explore and appreciate an entirely different side of the hobby as well! I feel so blessed that I’ve found a community that not only allows, but actually encourages me to be a kid again while also offering a more “refined”/“business”/“investment” element as well. This hobby and the people in it bring so much joy to my life. After my wife’s first ultrasound when we heard and saw our baby’s heartbeat for the first time I stopped at the nearest Walmart and purchased several products. Some I’ve opened to start collections that can finish before the baby is born. Using the due date as a target deadline date to complete these sets. Other items I will leave sealed to one day open with my child. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
On some level, Pokemon has been with me through my entire life from the time I was 5 (I’m 31 now). Pokemon has given my life a different sense of excitement, purpose and meaning. The idea of sharing it with my children is so cool to me.
I love this hobby and the community of people that surround it.

Parents couldn't afford pokemon cards for us very often as a kid but with my first job check I bought a single pack at a gas station and pulled a shining mewtwo (my favorite pokemon) now in my 30s I swear someday I'll get that again.
I haven't even finished the video yet and wanted to say congratulations on your journey both physically and channel wise.
My favorite card of all time would have to be the Mew and Mewtwo GX Tag Team Promo (yes the promo) It is, in my opinion, the greatest alternate art card of all time. So much energy and personality behind the Pokemon and for those who have a BFF or are in a relationship can really relate to the dynamics in the art. We've all had this moment.
In regards to the goal... I guess finally owning a home. From living in a car for a short period of time to finally having a place to call my own feels really good.
Actually insane. I'm sitting here typing what my favorite card is, and then you start talking about the card lol. Shining Gyarados is a card I had as a kid and I absolutely loved it. The art is incredible and the japanese version has such a great effect on it! I've been tracking eBay for months trying to find one within a price range I can afford but man, it's insanely high even for a PSA 3!
A goal I achieved is finally getting promoted after working hard for 5 years with my company. Loving my new role! I'm also working to lose weight now and hoping to be looking like you in several months lol.

My favourite Pokemon card would have to be (and I know it hasn't been around for long) the Special Illustration Rare for Charizard EX from Paldean Fates. May not be a popular opinion, but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I love the abstract art of a terasteralized shiny Charizard! I never thought I'd see anyone come up with a crystallised Pokemon as a concept, and in this card it is illustrated in a gorgeous edgy art, in shiny form - amazing! Charizard in it looks domineering too, in a good way!
For me in terms of goals, I remember the time when I thought it was impossible for me to get into the hobby of Pokemon card collecting. With some patience, determination and willpower, I was able to save up by giving up a few things/habits to start my journey and have been quite happy since then!
Honestly, this will sound funny but 151 charizard ex SIR is my all time favorite. First charizard I’ve ever really pulled. I’ve collected back in the 90’s and got back into it in January. Now I’ve 3 binders full of special cards
Favorite card of all time is the Empoleon V from Battle Styles. I started following Pokémon during diamond and pearl when I was 8 and my first starter ever was Piplup. Empoleon is still my favorite Pokémon of all time and gen 4 holds such a timeless part in my heart! Congrats on 2k! It’s been awesome to be a part of the journey! In a past life I wasn’t the same person, I felt stuck in the bad things I was doing and got arrested on some felony charges. That alone felt like too much to handle at the time, but things got worse when the state came and took my newborn son away. I had the most immense pressure put on me and had no clue how I was going to get through it. Going through mandatory rehab and fathering classes to get my son back I realized even in that situation I was still very blessed to have family who were able to and willing to help because there were so many without those family members available. The life I was leading had made my relationship with siblings and parents pretty rocky but the way everyone stepped up to help brought us all closer together and made me realize how much my actions were affecting everyone especially my 2 month old son. Here we are 7 years later I’ve gotten my record expunged and my son has a little brother he helps a ton with. I couldn’t be more blessed. Oh and my favorite Pokémon card at the moment is probably that Raging Bolt ex from temporal forces. Just love the artwork, and your content lol

I love the Mewtwo AR from 151. Although not an expensive or rare card, it is the one that got me back into Pokémon, so it is my favorite! I am currently working at achieving a goal that seems impossible which is founding my own company, so I am in the process :)

My favorite card is celebi V from Fusion Strike and celebi Gold Star(ofc), since i grew up watching and loving pokemon4ever with Celebi as the main pokemon! That's why he/she will always have a special place in my heart💚
When i moved to my new house, the entirety of the garden was dead and barren, with will and determination (never used my green hands), I transformed a neglected piece of land into a flourishing garden, blooming with life and color🌻. The proud feeling of achievement was undescribable!!

My favorite card is the umbreon VMAX. I love the moon and the artwork. I recently had a struggle with anxiety and severe weight gain and focusing on myself has really helped me get through the dark times and lose weight as well!

As for an achievement, I recently graduated with an undergraduate program from UCSC. Shortly after, I picked up the pokemon collecting hobby sometime in December and it's consumed me since (in a good way).

my favorite card is the gengar vmax from fusion strike, i know its gotten a lot of popularity lately but it was one of the few cards i really liked prior to getting into the hobby, and i managed to pick it up in early january for a pretty good price!
as for achieving a goal, i recently completed CDL school and im scheduled next week for my actual test. i know 6 months ago i was pretty clueless on what i wanted to do with my life, i mostly played games in my free time and had a dead end job. now i feel like i finally have things sorted and i have a solid direction regarding where im going in life
Venasaur Base set holds a lot of memories for me as my first pull as a kid. But funnily enough I definitely thought Shining Gyrados before I heard you mention it at number 5! The card really captures the dramatic/frightening/legendary status of the Pokemon.
Having been pulled back into Pokemon following S&V 151 as an adult, it’s been refreshing to hear your interesting content delivered in a calm and professional way that makes you stand out from all the cringe click bait and relentless pick openings. My favorite pokemon is mewtwo ever since I was a kid. When I was younger I was dealing with bad anxiety and overcame it which I didn’t think was possible at the time, talking to people and socializing is so much easier for me now so i’m proud of myself.

The Entei holo black star promo card is for sure my favorite card of all time. And right now I’m actually working towards my “impossible” I love exercise more than anything but three years ago I ended up with a herniated disc which has now turned into 3 bad discs. I’m working every day to make the healthy right choices with my food and in the gym to get back to being comfortable with my own body 👍

You mentioned my favorite card. The “red Gyarados” that’s is how I called it when I played pokemon silver as a kid. This card means so much to me, it is nostalgia at its finest. I owned a Mint 1st edition copy I bought when I was I college 7 years ago.
I've been helping my fiancée collect Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, and Snorlax cards. We're just starting our collection, but I love that we are able to enjoy the hobby together! We were able to luckily find a nice 1st edition base set bulbasaur PSA 9 to add to our collection. I think she didn't expect to enjoy the journey as much as she has!

Koga ditto. Ditto is my fav because by switching into any Pokémon it covers everyone’s fav Pokémon. Something I once thought impossible was getting into medical school. In America less than 1% of people that apply get in. I grinded on the entrance exam and got a great score and was able to secure a seat into medical school :)

Anyway, to answer your question, my favorite card pretty much depends on the time of day, but right now I absolutely love the Zapdos ex SIR from 151. But the Red's Challenge full art from Unbroken Binds has sentimental value that keeps it near the top of my list at all times.
When I got to college, I decided to take up the guitar for the first time. Early on, it felt like I'd never get the hang of it. But I committed to practicing every day and, with the help of some musically gifted friends, I unlocked a passion that really got me through some of the most difficult times of my life. I'm no SRV, but I got good enough to perform at my own shows for a while (before the kids arrived). Now it's a therapeutic hobby that I can turn to in times of stress.

Keep up the great work. Favorite pokemon is Dragonite. Favorite moment was when I dunked a basketball during a summer league game. Only time I have ever dunked in a game setting. It was a fast break but won’t forget it.
I think the Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno promo card from the Sun & Moon Hidden Fates ETB has to be my personal favorite. The artwork is stunning and I can’t get enough of it. My daughter was born 4 1/2 weeks ago and I would consider that my greatest achievement in life. Hoping that she’ll get into the hobby one day. Already ordered some cards for her with the very first one being the full art Jynx TG04 from the Silver Tempest set. Once she’s a bit older I’ll start introducing her to card collecting.

Very happy for you and you deserve to love yourself! ❤ My favourite card of all time is probably the Coro Coro Mew tbh, I absolutely love Mew so much and the colours really pop! Hope I can get a copy one day! In terms of personal milestones, I’ve never had a lot of money and had to really work hard to get where I am. Tbh, it’s one of two things. Originally I wanted to say that getting the PhD program I wanted was my biggest milestone but I actually think it’s finally accepting that I was struggling with my mental health. It took a lot for me to accept it, talk about it openly with those I love and to seek help and I haven’t looked back since. I was in the darkest place I’ve ever been and still have my up and down days (like ever should) but learned to accept myself for who I am and to not be ashamed of being sick.
My favorite Pokémon card of all time is Giovanni’s Persian from Gym Challenge. I would absolutely love a full art version!
I was trying for a bachelors degree for about 8 years. I was working full time while I was working on getting it and couldn’t get the classes I needed because of my job so I switched my major from Geology to Geography. I really disliked my job at the time and spending pretty much all of my time dedicated to work and school for 8 years was tough. I’m so happy to say I finally graduated with my bachelors in geography and not only that, but have an amazing job I love in the field. Perseverance pays off!

My favorite Pokémon will always be Venusaur! That Pokémon holds so much love in my heart since the base set days when it first released, I’ll never forget saving my birthday money to walk down the avenues in manhattan NYC with my mom and find a guy with a table full of singles! That Venusaur stared at me for weeks until I finally was able to buy it for $20! I am now continuing to build my Venusaur collection and very happy there’s so many variations to collect
Man that is a tough question! I have to say my favorite of all time might be the original base set Venusaur. It isn't super special but it has such a huge nostalgia factor for me. Venusaur still is my favorite Pokemon since the beginning.

Also, health-wise - i didn't think i'd get back to a state of 'normal', after going in and out of hospital for months, being diagnosed with 3 lifelong illnesses in that time & now i'm finally on top of 2/3 of them. This was only by advocating for myself in medical settings, calling up clinics like i was my own personal receptionist and researching all my symptoms on every corner of the internet... i've been able to meet my amazing partner, actually attend to family-events & just be able to freely move around. I'm not completely over it but man, to be where i am now with some quality of life, i'm just so grateful and proud.
My favorite card is the promo card from Hidden fates ETB, it is so good that card, also hidden fates is from the time I got back to the hobby, bcs my kids starting collecting in school. Congratz with the 2K sub 🎉 😊

I like jolteon a lot, every evolving skies pack that I get is for that purpose, I just start collecting and I now I'm also hunting for the giratina v ult art from lost origin, my achievement is to graduate from medicine, something that back on days I would consider impossible but now I'm living from it and I love it :)
CD promo venusar, because it reminds me of the good times playing the game as a kid and with venusaur. For me it was running a marathon even though i have astma.

I just recently came back to the hobby. My favorite card is the alt art of Giratina V from lost origin which I am chasing right now. I got my master degree last month which many saw as impossible and even I was not sure about a lot of times. But I got it now. I Hope I can enjoy the hobby for a long time now.
Congrats man, you absolutely deserve it! Overcoming of yourself is the hardest thing in the world, I struggled with my confidence which limited me a lot in my personal life. Fortunately now I believe much more in myself and I do things I was not even able to imagine before (I graduated, gor good job etc.) The most important thing is not to be ashamed about getting help. My favorite pokémon card is Dark Charizard, love the design + pokémon series with Team Rocket was my childhood

I love your videos and I also like this glimpse into your personal life and your story. One of my favorite cards is the OG base set Charizard, I also think it’s the king of Pokémon cards. I have a fun story about the time I pulled it as an 8 year old. My Mom bought me two packs of the original base set when it came out. I was obsessed with Pokémon and I wanted to open them right there at the store. I remember my Mom telling me to go open them outside. So I went outside and found a few older kids that were also opening cards. With them was a kid I recognized from school so I went to see what they were doing. I showed them my packs and the told me to open them, I was very excited. I opened the packs and pulled the charizard. I was so happy it became my favorite Pokémon immediately. One of the older kids offered a trade for my charizard card for a different charizard card he had. I was really pressured into the trade by all the other kids around. Turn out that charizard card he gave me was fake! I did everything to try to get it back from that kid but he always said he already traded it away. I was furious and I thought I would never get another charizard card. Fast forward to a few years ago when my girlfriend gave me some Pokémon cards as a gift for my birthday, she knows this story and thought I would like the cards. I absolutely loved it and it made me get into Pokémon cards again. She also told me she has a bunch of old Pokémon cards that she used to have at her parent’s place somewhere. One day she brought those cards and she said “enjoy! Although I doubt you’ll find something good in there”. She was wrong as I found a bunch of old cards with one of them being the base set charizard. The card is from base set 2 and not in perfect condition but the excitement of finding it card again was amazing. I thought it would be impossible, also to get it from her who turned me back into this hobby in the first place was a huge bonus.
I can still remember going to the store with my parents when I was younger and getting a pack of Pokemon cards at the check out, this game has always been so nostalgic for me growing up and I got back into it at the start of last year and haven’t looked back. My favourite Pokemon card of all time is the shining gyrados because firstly it is my favourite Pokemon that I grew to love watching the show and now that I’m a bit more grown up the art work of that card I don’t think has ever been replicated. When I was younger it was always my goal to become a mechanical engineer as I loved to take items apart to understand how they worked. Growing up I never thought I would be able to become one though as both my parent never went to university which made me think I wouldn’t be good enough. They were very supportive though and I was able to reach my dream in 2018 that I had since I was around 6 years old and was able to not only make myself proud but also my parents that helped me every step of the way. I know proudly work as a mechanical engineer and am so grateful to be where I am today. There are always going to be challenges in life, but it is how you react to them that makes you into the person you are and want to be. Every failure is not a failure but a learning opportunity. Always push for your dreams.

My favorite card is base set Charmelon, my older brother gave it to me almost 20 years ago. I’ve love the almost pink red color the Charmelon is.
A goal I achieved that I thought was impossible was being the first in my family to go and graduate college. I never thought that I would have been able to do it, and feel very lucky and grateful for the opportunities that were presented to me!

Favorite card is Charizard from celebrations. It was my first chase card. That set in Covid got me into Pokemon cards and luckily I pulled 2 which I gave 1 to my brother who told me about the celebrations set. However, I spent too much money opening packs which would have been better just buying the card as a single. Keep up the work and proud of ur weight loss.thats something I also achieved when I was 15. Always wanting to lose weight and finally I was able to lean up and lose weight.
My favorite Pokémon card of all time is the Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art from Evolving Skies. To be perfectly honest, I actually like the artwork of the regular Rayquaza V Alt Art from Evolving Skies way more, but the Rayquaza VMAX was just the ultimate chase card for me at the time. I was in the middle of my masters degree when Evolving Skies dropped and my head was also in a really dark state. In the end though, I pushed through, got my degree and everything has been uphill pretty much since. Collecting Pokémon cards was the only thing I had at the time, but now I have pretty much everything I could have ever asked for and more because I believed in it and didn’t give up. This card is so special to me and I think many others, because it’s so indicative for a time when the world was upside down right after Covid. I learned that sometimes it just takes some time, discipline and the right people at your side for you to achieve things you thought would be impossible. You can push yourself so far, if you first focus on being in a better state of mind. So for anyone reading this, keep pushing yourself because you never know how close to success you could be. At the same time, cut yourself some slack because good things take time. And maybe most importantly, don’t be afraid to asked for help and talk to the people you like, you will be surprised of how much understanding people around you will have when you tell them what you’re struggling with.
Really enjoying your videos, you should make one giving tips about how to share the hobby with our kids.. Mine are getting older and I would love to share the hobby with them (not my moonbreon tho). Fav card: sleeping dragonite and pikachu stamp box promo, Achivement: my kids. Keep it up

My favorite card has to be the lab mewtwo gx. I don’t know if any other card that immediately brought back memories more than that card. From the minute I saw it I knew that it would be my favorite, regardless of rarity or any other factors.
Close second has to be sky pillar Rayquaza with zinnia from evolving skies. I do not understand how this card is so underrated.
I guess I love the card arts that are more than just an artists creation, they are arts that are part of what makes that Pokémon is.

5 years ago I hit rock bottom and didn’t see a way out. I did everything you can think off that was wrong and bad. I am a Christian but I didn’t do anything with my religion but it was for me the only thing left at that time.
Now 5 years later I own my a business, I bought a house 2 years ago, I drive a brand new car and to top it all of I got married may 1st!
If you are at the bottom the only way is up! God is good!

My fave card has always been the neo genesis lugia! It was my fave ever since pokemon silver and I really got excited to trade for a copy of it last year. I still love looking at it even today!
One time in my life that I achieved something I didn’t think I would was when I graduated from college early. It took a lot of hard work and it led me straight to where I am today but I’m proud of myself today for persevering and not letting obstacles stop me 👍

I’ve been subscribed for a while and love you sharing your story, it makes me want to share mine. My favorite card right now is gonna sound weird but it’s the pikachu secret rare from Crown Zenith. I got back into pokemon during crown zenith and it was one of the first big pulls I opened so it has that sentimental value plus I didn’t even know it existed when I opened it so it was very exciting! Something I achieved that I thought was impossible at the time was getting into medical school. I’m graduating this month now and will be a surgeon which I never thought possible growing up since no one in my family is a doctor or went to any sort of upper schooling. I didn’t get in the first time I applied but I didn’t give up and it’s finally paying off!

Inspirational weight loss, man! I cant pick just one card...ill say something a little leftfield - one my all time favourites is Aquapolis Houndoom! But man i really really like the LO Giratina.
I trained and managed to complete a 10km during the pandemic..never thoguht id get there but i did!
My Umbreon got a 10 and I had it in a binder for over a year....when I pulled it it was only worth about 200 lol its crazy
