    Very well explained! The cinematography was well filmed, the sounds were crisp, and the technique was easy to understand. The music was also awesome to listen to yet not loud enough to be distracting.
    I look forward to getting better at the Clever Dripper. Thanks for the video!

    I usually make 400ml from a similar process with the Bonavita immersion device. But find that for that size cup I need to wait a good 5-6 minutes to drink the coffee because it is just too hot. The flavor really opens up if you let it rest till about 140f.

      lol that is exactly when i drink my coffee. my brews usually end up at 160 which is still too hot.

    That draw down was definitely not a minute. Spent a whole video watching him just stand there, then had to do a transition slide to indicate a minute had passed. The clever dripper is fantastic and I’ve used it for years with all sorts of grinds and grinders, but the draw down is never as fast as people indicate. It’s not much in it and really doesn’t matter but I just like transparency.

    Can you use it without a filter too?

    • @kristopherschermerhorn998

      Well you'd need at least a metal filter or you'll end up with grinds in your drink? Metal filters won't filter the oil so it'll end up more like a french press brew. 🙂

    Is the bloom necessary in an immersion brew?!?!

    • @bricesturmer5941
      @bricesturmer5941  7 років тому +2

      not necessary, but I prefer it... seems to yield more consistent results from brew to brew.

      Brice Sturmer Ok, I've seen both ways and was confused because both ways have their advocates, thanks for the frank response.
