But he also said on the Not Sam show, something to the degree that he would turn heel but he wasnt going to just give it to the fans, because heels dont give anything to fans. He was going to do a slow burn into the role, but real issues arised with Tony so he decided to depart. Cody was a great heel in NJPW and in the early days of AEW when he wanted to "Kill the Attitude Era" against Dustin. Eventually in WWE, I think he should entertain the idea. Fans these days can be fickle and bipolar.
We need to finish the story and wait a little before to see Cody, one the most beloved babyfaces in WWE History, turning into the most despicable, evil and hellish heel in sports entertainment history, "The American Nightmare" revealing as "The Real Nightmare"
Okay now picture this Cody not only turns heel after losing for the second time after yet again getting screwed by The Bloodline (this would be what leads to the heel turn) he joins The Judgement Day, and elevates a feud between the two factions and ultimately winning the WWE title at a Major PLE at MSG and finally truly finishing his story.
