How to Remove Thread from the Bobbin Case Base Assembly on a Singer Featherweight

    I had been working on my machine for hours trying to figure out why the stitches weren't working and thread was breaking. I did see a little piece of thread finally as this video attests but didn't know how to get it! You made my day! Video was awesome. Thanks!

    We are trying to remove the Gibb? hook screw and it is frozen in place do you have any tricks to get it out. The slot is still good and the machine is new to us. so we do not know the history. Thanks for your help.

      Got the screw out but the bobbin case assembly is stuck. WD40 worked on the screw. Carbine grippers to move the frozen bobbin case and got it out. A tiny bit of thread caused all the problems.

      So is something still stuck or were you able to get it out? Yes, a tiny thread piece can cause all sorts of problems.
