I would rate Sri Lankan the best in South Asia. The food is far better than any other Airlines I have traveled. I have flown with them times in the MAA- CMB-KUL route
cabin crew looks friendly and the catering is definitely better than MH..cant blame the crew for the toilet condition as some pax are so irresponsible..i believe if you told the crew about it they will surely clean it up for u
This Airlines must have more attention. The crews are really nice to passengers. IFE was oke, they give menu card even the cutlerys are stainless. What an experience to fly with Srilankan Airlines.
They were indeed a very good airlines, especially in the business class which was often sold at a very reasonable price (especially between Hong Kong and Bangkok) . I used to their platinum member a few years ago. Now it's sad that they've stopped flying to Hong Kong. 😞

Did you know SriLankan Airlines is one of the very few airlines in the world which offers on-demand à la carte menus? Also one of the very first in Asia after Etihad and Qatar Airways.
Keep in mind that this is Economy Class. I bet you that had you flown Business Class on Sri Lankan Airlines, you might have a totally different perspective.
I don’t think it should matter if it was Economy or Business class. The flight crew should have have kept up the condition of the bathroom. This only made a Third World airline look exactly what many bigoted people would think.....When you fly Third World Airlines you will get Third World treatment or situation.

I am flying economy from london to Colombo 5th December. Am really worried as it will be the longest flight i have taken that’s not been on premium or business as it was just too expensive. Yes my friend , sri lankan crewn,yes they are very very friendly and it is the naturebof our country. I like cathay , but most of the crew ,, thay r rude specially old wemen. Who cares. U can understand now how our girls and boys serving to others.

The person who upload this video is an un matured . If you wanna compare CX and UL , you are insane . We manage our airline with just 27 Air crafts and we do our all best to maintain our simple national carrier . If you wanna evaluate hygiene of the toilets , you must go in before someone using it. If you have a sense , u can see who made the toilets unclean . And , About the food , CX have most over cooked and un taste food . ( I have flown 69 times by CX) . UL cater one of the best inflight meals . I wonder when you say , milk tarter is weird but I finished it. Are you nuts ? Finally what I have to say is ... UL is one of the best airlines among the world , inflight service , hospitality and mostly how they flying ..Pilots are great .
Hi Vasana, thank you for your comment. I would say UL is a good airline that I also like. For the toilet issue, however, I believe it’s the crew’s responsibility to keep it clean at all times. Similar issues may happen other airlines but the toilet was a bit too messy when I visited. I understand that it was other passengers who made it messy, but still, cabin crew has their responsibility to clean it regularly. As for the tart, I believe it may be a dish that suits the taste of SriLankans. And therefore it may taste different from what I usually eat. Yet, I embrace different cultures and I therefore finished it. Other than these, the whole experience was great and I can still recall how nice the SriLankan cabin crew lady sitting opposite to mr during take off and landing was. All airlines have areas both that they are doing great and they need improvements. Anyway, thanks for watching! :)

Sorry to tell the truth mate, it's mainland Chinese (not HK, Macao or Taiwan) who mess the toilets in every airline. It's a common fact and nothing much the airliner could do, if so you will have clean the toilet after each and every mainland Chinese on the flight.
It’s funny the way u complain around toilets. Those situations can happen with any airline and also based on the type of people onboard on that flight. It’s nothing to to do with the airline

Dude, you are talking like a robot and it is quite normal that newer aircrafts have IFE and WIFI onboard! Look at Turkish Airlines or Delta Airlines, they all have IFE installed...
Gone are the days of Airlanka!! When you truly and really had a superb inflight service. Now, the airline is sunken in corruption, and they do not care as much in the value of passengers, guests!! No wonder thay only fly to London in Europe now. In heavy debts too!!
I really wish you could stop talking about Cathay Pacific because this is NOT A COMPARISON. Also Sri Lankan Airlines have the best meals onboard rather than any airline. Sri Lankan airlines is way much better than those cheap Chinese airlines. I also heard that you mentioned that it's a budget Airline...IT IS NOT A BUDGET AIRLINE .The service and hospitality is so much better in Sri Lankan Airlines than your cheap Chinese Airliner's. About the toilets: The condition of the toilet is not the fault of the cabin crew The passengers have brought it to that condition(mostly Chinese passenger are onboard this Hongkong-Colombo flight). If you had politely told one of the cabin crew members to clean it for you I'm sure they would've done it. Please be respectful when you are doing these kind of videos as it affects the whole national carrier and economy of Sri Lanka.
This is absolutely false. My son and his wife recently took a SriLankan Airlines flight from Delhi to Colombo. Both of them flew in business class. They were holding business class tickets but they were not served any invitations for the business class lounge or the premium lounge upon their departure at Delhi. They don't know where to lodge a complain now.

Nah ... Singapore Airlines is so much better. Singapore Airlines ground staff and air stewards go out of their way to be helpful.
