As a Utah Local, i feel so bad for the Fans,Players and the Crew yes the Arizona Coyotes needed to be treated alot better they didn't deserve this even know im happy we here in Utah is getting a NHL Team. It's still heartbreaking. Love hockey, and Arizona is a beautiful state with a lot of love. i can see that. I hope you all don't take your hate and anger out on Utah. Utah has The Utah Grizzlies and they actually do pretty well in the Salt Lake Valley plus my 8 year old got to skate with the team on their court and got hockey pucks every game he has been to cause we been a fan for years and it's a great community and the Arizona Coyotes will be treated the same way with love and passion as the Grizzlies . Spending Love To All Of You In Arizona.
With respect, what upset a lot of people, and of course it can't be discussed at a press conference or in the open. Go back and watch the press conference carefully talking about "obstacles" and the Tempe polling, an organization from a different state had its members in AZ derail efforts (esp the last 3-4yrs) from financing, politics and up to quasi election interference, and have been working with the NHL behind the scenes for that long as well. Now the sabotores/Jazz have what they wanted thru near untraceable racketeering.
As a Minnesota native and now an Arizona resident, this absolutely sucks. Very hard to watch the game last night because of the bad memory of 1993. Glad they won their final game in Arizona.........very bittersweet. Watched a video of Paul Bissonette earlier, and he hit the nail on the head. The owners we had absolutely suck!!! For the players and staff of this team, I sure they get treated better in Utah than they did here.
my favourite coach who doesn't work for the canucks. the arizona fans have become members of a large tribe from quebec city, hartford, atlanta. there will always be yote jerseys at nhl games.
alex meruelo is a terrible owner, and honestly this threw him in the mix as a bad person. Lies to fans, the team, if he owns the next coyotes i cant support him.
Phoenix fans deserve so much better. The team played well over the last several games, but at the end of the day, the players play for themselves and for money. They will move on, tell the Salt Lake media how excited they are to be in Salt Lake, and they won’t look back. They will play wherever they are. Only the owner can take care of the local fans, and this owner was incompetent.
the owner never was going to spend $3bil of his money on a new stadium. he was holding out for a sale or relocation where the new city would build hi a stadium.
So am I the only 1 looking at this with logic ? The yotes failed: 30 years, bugger all success. Much respect to those who kept caring and showing up though
Fans n team love....ownership is embarrassing....shame on the nhl...shame on ownership....disgusting...shame on ownership....great effort by the team...nhl disgusting....ownership disgusting....shame on u all...coach n staff love...
Shame on ownership? You had owners who actually wanted to keep the team in the Phoenix area. Blame your residents and politicians. They are the ones to blame. The "NO" vote by senior citizens in Tempe pretty much put your backs against the wall, then the Scottsdale Mayor running his mouth was the nail in the coffin. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Thrashers had an ownership who intentionally sabotaged the team and wanted them gone. Why? They purchased the team to get the prize they wanted, arena rights and the Atlanta Hawks. The Thrashers were part of the bundled package and so they reluctantly bought them but had contempt for the team the entire time they owned them, eventually selling off the team while getting their hands on relocation money. Atlanta had the fan base but had the worst owners. Phoenix had better owners who tried, but a lesser fan base, and a resident base and politicians who didn't care if they left the valley.
Nope.. Why not keep them the Yotes.. Why are people so hell bent on a new name and new team.. The Jazz didn't change for you people Why should the Coyotes!
@@SmithWesson90 copyright issue? They sold the team, but not the rights. As the previous owner wants to win a land auction and build a new arena, and get a new expansion team. 33rd NHL franchise?
The coyotes management was terrible from their origin in the 1990’s - people like Bobby Smith, Mike O’Hearn etc were absolutely useless pustules and the organization never recovered from their horrid management
Why is this a sad story? Most games, 5 coyotes fans showed up while 95% of crowd was away fans. Just look up highlights of stadium going crazy when Montreal score.
Few in the media were calling it sad when the Thrashers left Atlanta, but Atlanta actually had tremendous fan support for the crap product they put on the ice. When teams from New York, Boston, or Detroit were playing the Thrashers in Atlanta, most of the fans were cheering for the Thrashers. Just look at 10: 10 to 10: 40 in this clip from 2007-2008 when the New York Rangers came to Atlanta. ua-cam.com/video/41mtkK7272U/v-deo.html
Why? We are further north with the greatest snow on earth and will be hosting the Winter Olympics twice potentially if we get the 2034 winter Olympic Games. Having a hockey team that far south in the desert made less sense.
@@OhShiitakeMushrooms it’s just not a sports area in my opinion and just the thought of of having to say the Utah [whatever’s] sounds stupid. The Utah Jazz is a stupid name.. I don’t consider the Olympics or NBA sports, so they have no real sports team. I think there were far better areas for teams but the money wasn’t there right now and that’s why they are going to Utah. Not to mention that after 28 years of sticking with it in Arizona it’s ridiculous to say that they can’t wait ‘til June to see if they get the land and if they do get it, then you wait out the arena construction. It’s stupid to pull out and possibly go back in 5 years or less. And we know they want to go back..
André Tourigny is a Great Coach! Lots of Class!
He's a french canadian, c'est certain Raymond 😅😅
We welcome him and all the team in Utah! You’ll have our full support in Salt Lake!

What will their new name be? Since they already have the Utah Jizz for ball, maybe do a theme like the State cooking pot being the Dutch oven?

Finally the saga is over!!!! NHL will thrive in Utah unlike Arizona!
Let’s Go Salt Lake City Golden Eagles
gong to be tough for the players to get laid in SLC! soo many beautiful women here in Scottdale! Mormons? hmmm
The women are hot in utah but not easy so yeah its a problem lol
At least they won’t get an STD in Utah
