As a Seahawk fan, I believe Coach Carroll did not use him well. Why? For too long he was used confusingly, and intermittently. He never became a dominate WR game after game. Sometimes he just disappears on offense. As good as he is said to be, he can go three weeks and score one touchdown…yeah… like that. And during that time he can earn terrible bone head penalties that leave my son and I just shaking our heads. If he is all that why does that go down? The same thing happened to Jaxon, he was widely hearalded as all pro talent but did nothing the first six games last year. Then he gradually started to play. But six games? I think the powers that be got openly frustrated with Carroll and his offensive strategies with his coaches for letting highly heralded & costly talent put up midline numbers. I definetly think Metcalf should be top 15 but only if his production expectations matches his salary.

I don't like his placement here but I don't think it is that egregious either. Starting at spot 8 with Mike Evans I start to disagree with the order of the list, 1-7 are pretty untouchable though. So I'd probably put DK in the 8-15 range somewhere. Like you said, his game has been pretty stagnant outside of some route improvements and he isn't fully utilizing his frame to make contested catches. So I could see why the league thinks of him more as a top 20 receiver than a top 10.

I'd put Lockett in the top-25'ish. JSN I think has a chance to be better than DK, but it's hard to toss him in the top-18 before he's earned it for me. Puka Nacua wasn't in that and he killed the NFL as a rookie.

Not disrespected at all. I probably have him ranked right around 20 ish. He really lacks two things that keep him from being elite. First, lateral quickness. Holy shit Murph, DK cuts about as well as a school bus. Not really his fault, more so the fault of physics. Just what happens when you’re tall and top heavy with a high center of gravity. Unfortunately it really hurts his route running ability. He won just 46% of his total routes last season and ranked 78th in target separation. Not good. More often than not, he’s well-covered. The second issue with DK is, as you know, his hands. He’s a very unnatural pass catcher and has a tendency to body-catch everything. Despite having a freakish vertical, he is not the go-up-and-get-it type and rarely comes back to the ball. His catch rate was just 55% last season but his contested catch rate was especially bad at 25%. A guy that big and that strong should have a much better contested catch rate and that would really help make up for his route running deficiencies. For those reasons, I have him outside the top 20 because without the ability to consistently create separation OR make contested catches, he’s a rather unreliable target. I can very easily find 20 WRs who are more reliable and efficient with their opportunities.

DK sucks! He gets way too many targets and he's prone to taking awful penalties. He has no discipline and he nevrr finishes his routes if he's not the #1 target. He should be traded. If you disagree, put him on your fantasy team to see how overrated he is. Get rid of DK!
