Modern Naval Warfare has the edge for me because of 1st person, co-op and modern submarine simulated sensor and weapon systems BUT Sea Power does have a release date and DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN. I will be getting both however.
The 2 games... are not even the same genre..... one is a sub sim.... then other is a fleet command sim... how do you even put them against each other? Get both.
i ran the artemis starship simulator for years and all the while I kept hoping someone would make a naval submarine equivalent. I cannot wait to get my hands on this.
I more wait for Sea Power, which is an entire different game, more abstract but with a wider scope. However, I heard about Modern Naval Warfare before as well, and it looks quite interesting. I think I'll get it at a later stage as well, although I don't think I'll play it for very long. It looks like project that deserves some attention. The multicrew feature seems fun.
When the pro version was showcased to a potential customer, at the end they just said: "We have so many questions but each one of them will be a breach of secrecy". That's the level of accuracy of MNW.
Task Force Admiral.......EXACTLY. I have just about given up on seeing both TFA and Modern Naval Warfare with Sea Power in the Missile age on my Steam wish list for about 3 years.
Hi. I'm still a huge fan of Dangerous Waters. The game engine, graphics, and resolution are pretty obsolete, but that simulator is pretty damn solid. We can mostly control submarines, but also destroyers, helicopters, and recon planes. It would be so awesome if Sonalist would remaster it,, add few things, and adapt it to 2024.
I really hope they haven't bitten off more than they can chew and that MNW doesn't disappoint. IMO there is no reason to rush it. Seapower will help bridge the wait.
This is one i'm really excited about but think you were fair with the critical discussion here. It seems to lends itself more towards the sim side also which intrigues me. I think the channel should receive this well though and I think we want a more critical take on Sea Power at this stage. Looks great though!
Convinced that a jewel is coming. Same video as previous live broadcast yesterday. Two men laughing, I don't know who or what. Complicated optimization "Obvious". They could talk to the developers of Command. Lots of smiles, release date to be seen. In the next broadcast more of the same. We do not know "Shameful".

They know Dimitris the lead developer of Command very well. For the laugh, well that's how the team works every day, you don't need to have a broom stick in the a.s to develop a serious game. As for the videos shown, not the same as last time, they always showcase what they were working on the weeks before the show. And for what they can show or not, it's not on them to decide what or when.
Hi there. What I don't take is that they have first introduced this game in 2020 with no release date. Then in March 2024, they've released a log book on Steam introducing their employees who work on the game as it's a great news and we should applaud them. They only have ONE 3D artist and she wrote she was a waitress for most of her life.
@@LTGamingUA-cam Nothing to do with these honest employees. They're young, and new to the industry. They're introduced as they just got hired, and just started the game that has been announced 4 years ago.
There was a big change in the scope of the game when the professional version was envisioned. The team had to grow. And Christina is not the only 3D artist.
A bit too close to depressing reality for me. Have you tried Naval Hurricane? It's "still in development" but it's about the only Great War naval combat game I could handle.
Hopefully itll do naval warfare better than war thunder. Really though, war thunder has it all. I quit playing a year ago because im not paying 60 dollars for a digital tank ship or plane. Had a lot of fun with It though. This is way way more in depth than war thunder
when this was first announced, the guys working on gave the impression it was like a modern Dangerous Waters, if you do not know that game it is a very hard to learn, 100% realistic sub sim. In fact, Sonalyst who developed the game now make training simulators for the US submariner navy
@@Lisa-Azra_Broad so arma, but for submarines? I don't mind a hardcore simulator, so long as the game is willing to teach me how to play it and doesn't expect me to memorize a book sized manual

I would at least add the GIUK gap and entire north atlantic.

@trazyntheinfinite9895 Yes, different genres, but time is limited. Like having two girlfriends.

This is a modernised 'Dangerous Waters/Seawolf'. I just hope it is as accurate and with the same level of detail and learning

Yes it does seem to lend itself towards the more serious Sim player but I think can compliment other Naval Wargames well!
When is release?
Later next year I reckon!
in April at the latest
Exciting stuff brother!

Yes, after the SCS theater, the Baltic, the Mediterranean sea, Atlantic are on the to-do list of DLC.
This looks really good!

Wait…..which one is purely submarine warfare, I don’t want to command other ships…….lol
Is this a spiritual successor to cold waters? Or something more akin to silent hunter?
More like silent hunter in a modern context. Though I can see how it would appeal to fans of Cold Waters!
@LTGamingUA-cam i much prefer the modern setting for a submarine simulator, so here's hoping the single player focus is up to par.
Exactly my thoughts 🚀

Playing as Russian submarine against NATO fleet would be more fun.
Are players really stuck with just playing the sub?
🙄
It seems that way at the moment! Though they did discuss other Submarines.
We will probably get something like the Dot mod from silent waters
There will be DLC with SSK, other nukes and then surface ships and maybe MPA and ASW helicopters.
