as an Old CRNA please I pray to the Lord grant me the most boring day possible. I quest for no adventure.. just enough to send me home with a smile on my face with my family
@@BoltCRNA good to hear, but miss all the nurse anaesthesia vids....Retired anaesthetic practitioner...( but it never leaves you !) kind regards from Wales 🏴
Remember the days of anesthesia school having to be at the hospital in your room by 430 for a routine lap chole? Those were the days. Finally about to graduate and take boards in the next two weeks..your vids have helped me tremendously through school bolt. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for listing the possible jobs as a CRNA as well!! I got in crna school this year and i can't thank you enough. A big chunk of what i know about anesthesia was from you!!
I am split between nursing, and med lab. What I am afraid with med lab is I would get bored. Nursing to me is almost like becoming a soldier except it's a neutral role cause you treat anyone. I want to do something that is in great need in society that is more directly involved. But I do not know if I could handle the stress particularly when shit hits the fan. I have to know EXACTLY what to do. I literally cannot imagine that experience. I would want to work in the OR. I don't think I would do well in a place like med surg. The thought of juggling many patients at once is scary to me.
Getting my BSN in 1 year and work as a CNA in the ICU now and am promised an ICU job upon graduation. Still deciding between FNP and CRNA any tips? I’ve shadowed both and would enjoy either.
Nice! video man! I always learn a lot from your videos! I have had 14 surgeries because of my cerebral palsy I’m 31 from Memphis! I can’t wait to start Donating to the Anesthesiologist Foundation since It was hard for me to go to college to be a Anesthesiologist after I graduated high school in 08 because of my cerebral palsy! I’m Subscribed to your UA-cam channel! You’re a awesome Anesthesiologist! You rock!!!!
Sorry if you have a video on this question but I've been wondering what percentage of a CRNA shift do you spend sitting down. It's a significant factor on whether I choose this profession or not. Thanks!
@@BoltCRNA I see. I spend a day in an OR during nursing school and the anesthesiologist spent most of the time sitting during surgery so I was curious if this was the norm. Thank you.
Anesthesia techs aren't allowed to handle/prepare drugs here in America. They can change out circuits and get supplies for you but in general the anesthesia provider will do most of that.

Best of luck!
When preparing medication, do you check it with MARS or does someone verify it with you to minimize the risk of medication errors?

Thank you kindly
For the algorithm 👍
You're the real one
Ps .So you can crack on with the case .....
Nice video! Are you allowed to have a beard as a CRNA? or are you on vacation at the moment?
Yes, you can have a beard as a CRNA.
sometimes after sugrey do they wake up when it wheres off
The goal is to always have the patient wake up after the surgery has finished.

It would depend on the day and the person. Some people manage to find their way to their chair very quickly. Others stand and pace.

So overall was the journey worth it?
Definitely
Hi ,don’t your anaesthetic Techs ,check equipment, prepare drugs in advance for you? Regards
