It depends on what your budget and needs are! The HX Stomp is a great example of product design, IMO. Good price, good form factor, great for dropping onto an existing board and highly flexible. When you start to get into like for like money-wise, I prefer the Fractal. There are more options, and IME it's much easier to get a tone you love. So yea, personally I usually prefer the Fractal stuff for the power and flexibility, but the HX Stomp is such a great compromise of price and performance that it's hard to go wrong, and it DOES sound great once you've dialed it in!
For me "Cap Edge" is the sweet spot for the 57.
For the 121 right in the middle but 3 inches back.
