- When dealing with torn pages in shiny children's books, traditional paste and tissue methods might not work. In this video, I demonstrate how to use Filmoplast P archival tape, an ideal solution for shiny, almost plastic-like pages. This transparent tape is reversible in water and offers an archival-quality repair that is both practical and effective. Do you think acid free glue could be an option also ?
I'd also like to know! I have a manual with a tear like this, and the outside is a similar coated paper to the children's book. I'd like to make the tip as invisible as possible, and my mind went to an acid free glue
I have a free course at saveyourbooks.com/ on glue vs paste. Lots of info there.
Go raibh maith agat as an bhfíseán - an chabhrach.
You are welcome! Nice to see some Gaelic!
