@@davekeith576 No, too much sun. The pool deck was erected in daytime, the rebar contracts at night, expends the next day, shrinks, expands, contracts, work hardening sets in along the far side. Eventually, in the middle of the night, when the rebar's under maximum tension through contraction, a bar fails where it's bent 90 to embed in the side wall, the stretch around the bend has thinned it, weakened it. The load transfers to the ones on either side, which overload, and it unzips as it shears. The elastic release (stretch a short length of elastic between your fingers, the let go, it rebounds to hit the other side) shoots across the deck, knocking the temporary acro jack supports replacing the failed columns sideways, and down she comes. What they should have done is fit an expansion joint perpendicular to the sea, about 2" wide. Concrete and rebar can expand/contract by up to 2cm over that width, and the result was spalling on the underside. The pool, being a massive heat sink/radiator, probably helped, as did the shade from the tower: the deck rods there tore out in the demolition, you can see the rips through the cement in the post clean-up photos. The same on the North side. It's only in the gap between that the rods broke, ping-ping-ping.
@@davekeith576 There was a lot more going on than just that, but I think that was a key issue. The people installing a bunch of granite counters and the like didn't do it any favors.
other plumbers need to lose the contract ...i coulda found that one and im no plumper ...not that you arnt awesome you are ...but shows the others didnt even do the basics of looking at fittings the vary things that are at high risk of braking

Miami condo collapse was caused by a leaky pool ????

It was the pool deck. Nothing to do with the pool itself. @@davekeith576

Great detective work man, this video was fun, this spa looks so nice and fancy.
If it had been leaking from the day it was installed shouldn't 'the right thing' have been to get the installers back and fix their sh*t ?
The installer probably bailed on the customer after getting paid.
Nice one on moving the camera through the glass walls! ;)
Even Jesus hasnt perfected that one yet
Really love your humour!! 😂
Randomly recommended but loved it, good content
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Love going to a spa that's wedged into a sunless rookery between an old telephone exchange and an office building. What luxury!
Did you pay for all the glass you broke too? Or did it come off the bill?
Nobody said anything about it to be honest 🤣🕵♂️
Hey good vid, just a question where is the spa facility ?
Great work fella 👍👍
You make me feel less weird about testing showers before handing over a house lol
Question… how did they know there was a leak in the first place?
If it wasn’t flooding was it just the water levels needing topped up all the time?
The water level kept dropping. Topup was constantly having to be run to keep it running.
Which hotel where you at ? Liverpool is near me , but a long way for you . Where's the duck ? Is he on leave ?
It looks like the Titanic Hotel on the Dock Road
How did you fix x
That mechanical room looked like a nightmare.
