"It's not like you chose politics. If you're born into a certain body, in a certain place and time, politics chooses you"
thats real talk.
Church!
BOOM! There it is. 🎯
@Dante Andres yeah right
Riz is that low-key but intelligent as hell kid sitting in the back of the class
Well he does have a degree from Oxford.
Well I am that kid then
That was brain to brain conversation, finally my hope for humanity is being restored.
Exactly.
Riz Ahmed is really soft spoken and humble. Thumbs up if you agree
Nice call to action
Most muslims from the east that are born and raised in the west are like that, you just don't hear much about them because they're living good and have nothing to worry about some even live better than those from the west.
And he seems very curious and sweet
"That's my Friday night" - That was deep, devastating, and way too real. What an articulate and thoughtful perspective from Riz.
Him saying that gave me the chills
Love your name. :D
Please explain
What a great interview! Trevor did research and gives Riz room to share his voice. It’s so polite and wholesome.
He fails to do research in other areas like comparing Imran Khan to Trump. Devastating and completely disrespecting the man's reputation in front of such a large audience.
I like his role in Venom. He seemed like a mild manner philanthropist at first, almost humble but not modest. Then the twist is how there is no line he wouldn't cross just for the sake of furthering his end goal. I enjoyed it since it sticks to the source material of the comics.
@@HamzaDashPC mahn its called unbiasedness..if he said something Positive abt a religious grp or any individual, that doesnt mean he will support everything abt it..u should try it sometimes..trevor is a true south african..his people has seen apartheid..so he knows what he's talking abt
I appreciated what Riz Ahmed alluded to regarding not having a choice to discuss politics. If you can genuinely say "I don't like getting involved in politics" it is in itself a form of privilege. The privilege to not having to deal with the choices of our politicians and how you are treated/seen when you walk out your front door.
And on a less philosophical topic, can we all agree that Riz has B.D.E.? That confidence - yum!
He’s a total daddy
Exactly. Riz’s treatment of privilege and the decision not to talk about politics was fantastically well articulated.
Am I the only one who genuinely wants to even just be FRIENDS with this dude, let alone be his lady? I think he’d be an awesome best friend to have around and probably a pretty cool dad, now that I think about it
He is so incredibly ....hot

Thank you Trevor Noah for differentiating between Middle Eastern people and South Asians!
Asma Saeed I’m shocked he knew who South Asians are
@@AaA-tq6pv He's south African. Of course he knows who they are. Part of why I like tevor is because he's not an American. He knows more about the wider world.
South asians
@@susanneyuk-pingpong8705 Correct!
@@susanneyuk-pingpong8705As done anybody who grew up outside of the US.
I'm officially a Riz fan after this interview
Me too
"The night of" got me on board.
b7major he’s pretty badass in Rogue One
I'm fan of him after venom. Although he played villain but his figura and appearance attracted me to know who he is
As a Blackman and a US Marine Corps veteran a can totally agree with everything that was said. We are now living in a great time of change in America. The victimizers are now trying to play the victims.
How many foreigner brown people did you victimise in the corps?
You mean the superior race became broke
In America, everybody wants to be a victim when nobody actually is.
Both my husbands are so well spoken
My four wives agree.
Rajashri Singh they have you to thank!
Would you like to be my 7th wife ?
lol
😂
He’s so incredibly intelligent to me.
It was when I watched this video that I realised how intelligent and well spoken he actually was - ua-cam.com/video/36bcxDVNr1s/v-deo.html
He majored in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford, it's almost a given.
@@danielpratama7402 Ok mate.
Daniel Pratama shit 🙌🙌🙌🙌
alexdapostman “water is wet” said Trump After hurricane.
I like his role in Venom. He seemed like a mild manner philanthropist at first, almost humble but not modest. Then the twist is how there is no line he wouldn't cross just for the sake of furthering his end goal. I enjoyed it since it sticks to the source material of the comics.
I like how he truly believed he was a good guy as his intention was for the greater good, and so few deaths were simply a small price to pay. He turned to become cold, sadistic and manipulative in the process that he simply became insane. It is a true reflection of pharmaceutical companies - a nice jab.
Critics shit on his character and I have no idea why. I think he’s a solid unique antagonist. As someone who loves sci-fi and space exploration, I have a blast seeing the Evil-Elon Musk version here. Philanthropist who search habitable planet and brought back aliens with him, and then infused them with humans to create an intergalactic apex predator. That’s sci-fi (or horror lol) fans wet dream right there. I hate to say this but I agree with him, tho ofc he’s stupid enough to be tricked by Riot.. Kinda sad that he’s dead coz can you imagine the symbiote invasion? That would be insane. Hope this isn’t the last time we see that idea.
MrAdonis258 his lines were so over the top like when he compares himself to God and when he refers to a human victims as "it".
Sadia Ansari Meh, to each their own. I don’t find any problem with that scene.
I would have preferred them to use alistar smythe ( comic fan)
He basically has these robots that fight spiderman.
Would have been really cool
jesus, too much handsomeness on stage. I love it.
Oh it's timely alright. And I don't think Jesus approves.
Love Spreader 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
handsome and humble.
two rare specimens with rare qualities ✊
Can they be best friends? I love all this intellect.
I didn't know him tbh, but he's so well spoken and has such a great mindset, ..new fan
@Adelaide McMillan thanks for the recommendation, will do!
sloppyfifths Check out 4 Lions. It's a bit dark but it's also hilarious.
ua-cam.com/video/Ew-SrlQ9tlI/v-deo.html
I fucking loved him in "4 Lions". And happy to see him play something else than a stereotypical middle eastern! :)
Just a quick fyi, Pakistan is not a middle eastern county.
diversity sounds like the fries and not the burger😂
i like though
Hey you the fries are the best part of the fast food meal.
The moment Riz congratulated Trevor made me feel butterflies in my stomach. Their handshake could end wars my friend...
Two powerful beings
"I became an actor to get girls, but it didn't work". I like this guy. A lot, hahahaha.
*UPLOAD THE MESSAGE VIA THE COMMUNICATIONS TOWER, BODHI!* (not an exact quote :p).
"A giant POC alien"
I love him already
He will never read this but having seen all his interviews and read in depth about him as a person and his views on life I wish I could meet him and shake his hand. He makes me have hope that there are men like him out there who think beyond themselves. 🙏🏽
I was waiting for this interview. Actually wondering how Riz Ahmed & Trevor Noah hadn't still been introduced to each other. Rightly, they struck me as two people who'd appreciate each other's points of view. Such a great discussion. Keep speaking up & talking with each other, guys. The World needs intelligent voices.
Keep it coming Riz. Your Dope
It was actually so refreshing to see a brown guy be a villain but not a terrorist
Mogambo Khush Hua !!!!!!!!!!!
I have been scrolling down the comments looking for *just* this... 😂
Amazing
Didn't know who Riz is,but figured if Trevor has him on, he must be good.I was right of course.
He did Rogue One too!
@@marshallboice4629 he was in Rogue One?
You need to watch "The Night Of..." He is incredible in it.
@@metzli64 Yup. He played Bohdi Rook the pilot.
@@marshallboice4629 thanks. I must watch it again
i became an actor to get some girls but it didn’t work😂😂
He could have totally played Jafar in the new Aladdin movie!
Really great to see the mutual respect between these two. Fantastic interview!
after seeing this, now i can completely understand why Tom Hardy so comfortable around him
I LOVE RIZ SO MUCH, hes so smart and his opinions and his voice is so important, I am so proud of him
Riz has a nice voice, I like it and he sounds intelligent ❤
Mel Raophala Is it the British accent?
+David Lazarus It's not because his british accent, his voice is indeed really sexy.
@David Lazarus I can't speak for Mel, but for me it's not the accent, but his actual voice. He speaks american (and urdu)in several movies, and he makes that sound nice too. I find a lot of rappers (and even some singers) have almost ugly and grating voices, but his is great.
David Lazarus no, it's not the accent. It's his voice, it sounds raspy in a way mixed with a growl
I absolutely love the way he describes usual things in the most unusual ways. Its wonderful.
Like diversity to fries.
And free promotion the ban on his song
And the list goes on......😂😂😂😂
"Some people might not want us here but
We're not going any where
We're here to stay we're part of this place if you wanna get into it lets talk about who built this societies?you know empire built britain
This country was built on the backs of people who are trying to exclude those people from power"
That got me the most👏👏👏👏👏👏👏well said ahmed👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The moment i set my eyes on him in Venom, i already like him. Such good acting and he seems very humble yet deadly. I smell a successful Future Actor.
His acting on The Night of was stellar for me. He did a great job. I haven't seen venom yet but I can imagine it will be good.
Him and Tom Hardy are electric together
Crap movie
@@princeminato no it wasn't lol
seeing trevor acknowledging the lack of middle eaastern and south asian diversity, is EVERYTHING
I would risk it all for Riz Ahmed.
The intellect. The talent. The wit. 😍😍😍
There is something about Rizwan's eyes that is so intriguing
I've had mad respect for this dude since Rogue One
(7:27 to 7:31 - brilliant observation by Riz)
Great interview and Riz is an amazing actor. Hope he gets more big roles.
He has such a great mind and personality too.
Loved Venom!
Love this dude since Night Of but it seems he's getting better and wiser with age, so many quotable lines in this interview.
Both of them are so well spoken and both of them have a beautiful mind. Really loved what transpired between the both.
Just two very intelligent men talking. Wish it could be longer. This is my ish
I've been waiting for these two to have a conversation that we could listen in on. This needed to be way longer.
love u Rizwan bhai, proud of you🇵🇰.🇵🇰. from pakistan
Ahmed, a name you live up to. Thank you for your sharing.
I love his acting in Venom. You can just tell that this is guy who his entire life told people about climate change with them yelling him to shut the F*CK up. He finally becomes a billionaire (one of the most powerful people on the planet) and still gets ignored. It all cumulates into a successful, powerful, introvert who has a tone of uncertainty whenever he speaks. Its something really fascinating that ive never seen in film before
Savvy Trevor Noah's comedy each night is **** 4 star. But what sets him apart is his insightful dialogue with his top-shelf guests. He books nothing but intelligent, need-to-be heard people. There's not a more thoughtful interviewer on television.
There needs to be a part 2 or extended version of this!
“a middle finger that you can dance to” luv that
love how trevor was just going to talk about brexit and then riz praises him loooool got out of that one fast
Tess Sdz for anybody watching this is how u do an interview, as little interruptions as possible to allow the guest get his point across & not lose his train of thought. There just too many self absorbed interviewers who want to impose themselves and outshine the guests with untimely interruptions
I think he might be my new favorite person
'i've been watching you blow up' -- he must be talking about Four Lions.
This guy gives me a Eminem vibe.In a way also kinda looks him tho
Simphiwe Charles Muslim eminem
Glenmoral-Ocean. *And his eyes!?*
The parallels are hilarious...
This was such a great interview!
what a guy RIZ ......you parents must be proud of you
i love this interview too much.
He is so articulate. It shows your root, family, the culture where you brought up. He is deeply cultured and sensitive of his origins and his religion. Its Britain where he brought up but behind, he is very much conscious of his roots and identity. You can have any nationality in the current nation-state system but you can't change your identity i.e. Pakistani and Muslim
What a breath of fresh air ! I love these two.
Representation versus Diversity. Great point.
Love love love this interview
I think it really important that he threw the light on the fact that it was personal and not political, people aren't always vying for attention for themselves but the situation/ circumstance they had encountered...
love his voice
0:04 - Trevor says "I've been watching you blow up". It's a good thing that Riz didn't misinterpret that comment.
That's only offensive if that stereotype is already implanted in your head. I don't connect Muslims/Arabs with explosives.
ahahahaha
I see what you did their.. nice
He did actually blow up in Four Lions
That was my first thought.. I need to rewatch that.
Very good colab. Top Notch. You guys complement and bounce of each other. Want to see more of this real stuff bruv.
I love watching brother Omar doing interviews
Riz is great, always has been and, hopefully, always will be but I will always associate him with that awesome scene in Four Lions when he fires the rocket launcher...I'll omit any spoilers and just say it's damn near comedic perfection!!
HoCB F four lions is absolute genius
It’s a chicken
It’s a fucked up rabbit with ears
Josh Pemberto...Have you seen Nathan Barley, the Chris Morris written and directed tv series? You should consider watching it, dude, given Banksy's shredder antics it's extra pertinent at the mo... and just really funny, which we need right now!
HoCB F I’ve never heard of it but now I have.....I’ll check it out :)
Josh Pemberton...hope you enjoy...eeek! He's also written and directed a new movie that's in post-production starring Anna Kendrick...digits crossed it is another slice of comedy heaven. Take care ;o)
Been watching him since The Reluctant Fundamentalist... Way to go, Riz, hope to see you more in more memorable roles
Wow. Such a grata interview. So proud of my man. He hit the nail on the head, some people are born into politics and don't have a choice.
great interview Trevor! Sensitive and thoughtful
One of the best interviews
DAMN!! what a powerful 8 mins clip.. HUGE difference between this interview and the shameful one done by Steven Colbert. Riz is quickly becoming one of my fav actors
I really really really love how Trevor researches about his guests and engages them and not just say only what he’s given
well per me he didn't in this video.
what a great interview!!!!
Sour times trevor, a piece of art you should give a ear to!
The two of them on the same set, just brilliant.
Well said and expressed.
Wow I'm in love didn't see this coming well spoken words 😍😍
every Society needs a man like riz Ahmed. Mashallah very intelligent man. may Allah Protect you.
This is one of the most civilized conversation👏👏
Gonna see Venom tomorrow, I'm so excited
Ugh... his mind ❤️
This interview earned you a subscription sir! Great job on supporting a Muslim voice. We are misrepresented in media and u break that barrier. May Allah bless you and your audience.
Yes! Yes! So much yessss!
LOVE these boyz
Everything Riz says is incredibly intelligent and well thought out. Trevor and him had a dope conversation. Both brilliant minds pushing against these crazy times
He's so articulate. Well done.
Riz ❤from 🇳🇵
Great message...Great movie..great host...lov it.
What a guy!
That was awesome💗💗💗
My 2 year old dances to Mogambo every time it comes on. 😂
Seeing the comment made me feel good that there are people who understands .....tuvm.......love from Afghanistan
This man ❤️ amazing we need more of him in this world
He was brilliant in Four Lions. Great film.
Looool Trevor goes like 'Ive been watching you blow up and all Riz is thinking is 'is that a four lions reference?'
