Perfect timing for this video - debating 3/4" leveling kit on my Rubicon to balance out the winch/bumper sag (roughly 7/8") and I don't really want to go all the way to a 2" lift and swapping out LCA's, shocks, etc. to fit 35"s down the road.
Awesome man! Glad I could help! You should be fine with just getting the front back to standard ride height.

I’m putting 36x15.5 Mickey Thompsons on 20x12 -44 wheels on my 392XR this week.
How did it go?
Can you tell me exactly which tires these are and the specs?
You do great videos! I’m in Canada and when I build out a Jeep on the Canadian site there is no Extreme Recon package! But if I took a Rubicon and ran 285 75 r18’s do you think they’d fit? They’re listed at 11.2” wide but they’re 35.1” tall……I know most 35’s are actually 34.5” but most times they’re 12.5” wide or even more. Plus there’s no 4.56 gearing available. Comes stock with 4.10’s but can be upgraded to 4.88’s from the factory
Yeah they stopped to doing the Extreme recon package...I think, although now that I typed that it'l probably be up on the site haha. But just a regular rubicon or Rubicon 392 will run 35's no problem!

My stock bronco suspension would not take 33's w/ out rubbing. I had to remove the front / rear crash bars. I did adjust my speedo with the forscan device and its pretty much right on. Maybe off a 1/2 mph or less according to speed apps on my phone, its really hard to tell so I believe its right on
That’s interesting as I have put 18 inch wheels with 33 inch tires on my stock Bronco Black Diamond with no rubbing issues.
@@gilbertferguson1685 What's your offset? Mines at 0. I had a lot of clearance once removing the front bars but at full wheel lock the tires would still rub the rear crash bars. Wheels are 17X9 RTR's on 285/17's
@@Lethal_Venom I don’t know what the offset is. I had the dealer put on the 18 in wheels from an Outer Banks and I wanted 33 in BF Goodrich KO2 tires put on. They told me no lift kit was required and the crash bars didn’t need to be removed. I have not noticed any rubbing, but will check by having someone turn the steering wheel while I observe the clearance. Thanks for the comment.
@@gilbertferguson1685 Hopefully they do not rub at all, if they do the crash bars are easy to take off ua-cam.com/video/j-l59nEgf3Y/v-deo.html
@@Lethal_Venom just went out to the garage and had my wife turn the steering wheel full lock, right and left, and tires were not touching the crash bars. Thanks.
You had originally put 35” tires on the stock rims. Just curious why you changed the rims and if the new rims are different size than the stock ones. Also, any other plans for the stock rims and original 33” KO2s that came with the car?
Basically did it for less weight, a much better accent color than the standard wheels and a little more aggressive stance. Still 17’s but an inch wider cause that’s the narrowest they make. And don’t really have much plans. The stock 33’s may go to either my moms ZR2 or my grandparents JKU.
What load rating are your bigger tires? I think mine are C from the factory and I'm wanting 35x11.5 (so they stay tucked in the fenders more) and most of what I see is E
Mine are C. But when I put them on my 2 door I got E on accident. You have to find the full spec dog the tire then call discount tire or whoever and make sure they order the exact spec tire.
