As far as John goes you can take the farm from the farmer but you can’t take farming out of the farmer. I am sure John likes being involved.

Chris , you are so much in a better place all around this year and its all because of your hard work and you refuse to give up when mechanical failures happens and you don't let yourself get defeated , it happens to everyone and its just apart of life when your dealing with farm machinery, you can have the best PM programs for your equipment but you will still have failures but the PM programs due help with less failures over time.
Your addressing small problems this year so they don't become bigger problems later . I am so proud of you for doing more PM programs ( preventive Maintenance)
I will come power wash the Mack anytime !
Keep it simple stupid with the multiple function drill , smart ! I think your corn will recover but tissue samples really do help ! God has blessed you with not allowing the bad storms get to your corn .
All the best to you and Yanko and the boys ! 🐕🐂🐖
Always pulling for you and the farm

Back in the 1990s I drove dump trucks for a man that owned 12 or so Mack R model dump trucks, Some had 2 filters, some had 3, the ones with 2 held 8 gallons of oil, the ones with 3 held 12 gallons of oil. Mack said the ones with 3 filters and big oil pan were considered extended service engines and the recomended oil change interval for them was 25,000 miles.

@zacmiller9384 also organic matter helps to facilitate natural structure of soil for healthy microbial activity, therefore releasing trapped nitrogen and nutrients in soil for plants to consume. I'm not a scientist, so maybe this came off as stupid.

    • @Otherrandomguy42

@@zacmiller9384the research I read said that although the living organisms ( microbes) that are breaking down your organic material are using up nitrogen and a lot of carbon when they die they release that nitrogen making it readily available for plants to use. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Same with the carbon they're using idk. Maybe that's not right but I thought that's how organic materials provide nutrients to plants.
