Great to see you've been able to run driver experience courses this year. I used to run them on a standard gauge Heritage Railway for over 7 years, best experience ever was seeing how much joy this brought to people. :)
Do you only offer the course on Jools? Ever since I was a little lad always wanted to have a go at driving Mr P or Jimmy, nothing against Jools obviously still a lovely engine.
Hi, I'm afraid we do only use Jools for this course because it is fitted with the necessary safety systems for this purpose, such as the dual control on the regulator.
@@PECOrailwaymodeller that's fair enough, still a lovely engine. Would you ever consider doing a diesel driver day? Maybe involve some shunting or something?
@@ashleysapratt1069 well once you have done this experience then you can do the other one which is a freight experience a bit like what you are talking about

Is there a way to do this at the age of 11 (I am already a big train expert I help drive engines bigger than these at lappa valley in Cornwall)
Also I have done a day like this at lappa to so it won’t be much if a difference
