My set up is a Rome factory rocker board with burton custom bindings, both from around 2014. i also got a spare set of burton custom bindings for $100 dollars total
Man i can't wait for all the content you're going to put out! Have you ever ridden the equalizer? Do you think you'll ever be able to throw that in the mix as well and do a comparison? 🙌
bro, you KILLED it with those bindings. Snagged a Mega Merc for this season, and would kinda love to rock the women's purple Ultras. They just look perfect.
This season I just bought my very first set up! Some second hand burton moto (old but only used like 5-7 times, 50 euros) and new board and bindings, for budget reasons y got salomon pulse 6and union str (both 380 euros). Been to the snow a few times last season, but I can go down fast in blues
Picked up a megadeath with union atlas pros, based on your review. I am looking forward to seeing your input on the standard mercury, as that was my other pick.
@@AugustBMW I’m 5’11 180lbs I got the merc in 159 it destroys everything on the mountain tbh, pretty light weight, can ride switch, gets up in the air pretty easy and it’s super fun to just carve with I’m loving it so far I got the new union force bindings to go wit it
Mega death black sticker line at the tail and the ride edge you did for just perfectly specially at the tail did you cut that yourself? Ni e review and vids always purple look amazing !
I had last year’s mercury with some stratas on it but it was stolen even though it was locked up 😢 crazy work.. it was my first time trying a deck that wasn’t a ride board and loved it.. think I’m going to look for a last years used doa since they didn’t hold their value as much and maybe get some katanas for em
Hey Shane! Which bindings do you think would be best for the BSOD? I'm choosing between the Atlas, new Falcors, and Atlas Pro. I love my BSOD as well. Looking forward to your video comparing it with the Mega Death, thanks and keep shredding!
I would love to own a pair of insano, but i am not a big fan of BOA. I had the K2 Thraxis and the thing would pop out of their housing on the shoe. I don’t know if they use epoxy to keep the winding part to the housing on the shoe. Plus, i feel like when you use them, you would need to wind them up because they loosen sometimes after so many runs.”. It was just a bad experience with me, so i am on speed lacing from Nitro and Burton.
@ if that is true, than i will invest in a pair. I wish the insanos had that red/black look. It reminded me of deadpool’s boots… Appreciate you. When i head to Japan next month, i am going with Burton SLX, but i need to break them in.
when it comes to size, would you recommend to middle the weight range or more like in the low/higher end? I‘m 152lbs and not sure if I should go for 155 or 157.
I’m looking to get the union force for my capita mega Merc. Just wondering how much stiffer the classic force’s heel strap is compared to the new version in reference to your comparison video last season. I like the idea of that stiffer strap but also like the idea of the more comfortable newer force lol. Any advice would be great thanks
Hi! I have some Ride Insano size 10 US and Union Force M 2021, how can I prevent tear to the outside (in the heel area) of the boot? Do u have this problem too?
Got this year Insano's as well, coming from Ion's, i was just wondering, will they break in a little bit in 10-20 days? In terms o flex, because right now they don't even flex xD they are as hard as a stone 😆
Three days down with doa 163W and force bindings and it still feels lika a train after nitro team 159W with over ten year old forum bindings 😅 slowly getting used to it, at least should be much more stable when hitting bigger jumps
Sick setups! I came here from your video three years ago comparing peoples favorite board manufacturers. Surprised you didn't mention it there/nor have any gear from Arbor yet - they have always been a favorite of mine growing up longboarding, so when I got into snowboarding five years ago they were an easy place to start looking at boards, and haven't left them yet! As much as I love the gnarly graphics on some boards, nothing has ever beaten the natural look arbor puts on most of their boards with a coated wooden top-sheet. Have an Arbor Clovis with their cypress bindings from 2020 and just recently picked up a candle rain which I've paired with the new Atlas's in gold for this season. I believe Arbor's boards are also produced in a factory (in Dubai I think?) that uses 100% solar energy which I must say I like. Great videos!
@@leafdog6926 To each their own I guess! I like NiDecker stuff, almost bought their step-in bindings this year but decided to wait until they develop the technology further. I didn't like lack of high-back adjustment either. Never ridden any of their boards but they look nice! I'm curious to know why you think they're better for the money though? I don't generally associate Arbor with being overly-expensive, I'd say they are in line with everyone else and their top end boards are below those of competitiors like Lib-tech or Capita. And I think their boards are pretty sick from a performance perspective, especially the new candle rain!
Always stoked to watch your vids. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and supporting dude!
Those bindings look insane! Super nice!
Hell yeah, thanks dawgie!
Got me the same boot this year, really great fit and performance.
Right on, yeah it's the only choice for me
Are you sponsored by Capita? Great content! Ripping the Mega Death this season! ✌🔥
I may be 😉 and hell yeah, another one for the Mega Death Squad

Looking forward to the MD & BSOD comparison. I will be riding a new 157W MD in a couple of weeks in the Alps!
Hell yeah, that's gonna be a blast, stoked for you!
DUDE! I love your sticker usage on you boards
Haha thanks, I like to spice things up. Still need to sticker the Mercury and Spring Break Resort Twin
The Mercury is my fave daily driver too...I bought it based on your review a while back!! Great video Shane!
Awesome, Ced! See ya out there on it soon!
Man i can't wait for all the content you're going to put out!
Have you ever ridden the equalizer? Do you think you'll ever be able to throw that in the mix as well and do a comparison? 🙌
Thanks so much! I haven't ridden it because it's a women's board, but one of my friends loves riding it as her daily driver
bro, you KILLED it with those bindings. Snagged a Mega Merc for this season, and would kinda love to rock the women's purple Ultras. They just look perfect.
Yeah I know what you mean the colors have been on point across all the models

Awesome, you've got one sick set up now! I got a couple days on the mercury now and it's great
love the stiffness of the insano. But my foot would go numb in the afternoon because the toebox is a bit too small for my foot.
Yeah it's definitely a slimmer fit
thanks for strafe plug went to aspen and loved the vibe so wanan rep out in boone nc
Oh hell yeah, love to hear that!
Omg it’s not just me that I mix and match 2 sets of unions for the heel cup swaps 🤣
Hell yeah, you know what's up!
Surprised you haven’t shown any Cardiff boards yet. You should check them out!
Yeah haven't been able to get my hands on one yet
Can you do a review on the new Burton Alekesam. Would be interested in hearing your opinion on it. Thanks!
Will try, it's a sick board though with that surf style for all mountain riding. Just got someone set up on one the other day actually
@ Super! Really appreciate it! I’m excited to try it out as well this season.
My new setup for this year is the capita mercury with union force bindings. 🇨🇦 🏂
Awesome, Mercury squad mount up!
Same
Any feedback regarding this board? Who is this suitable this board?

I got ride insano last year and really enjoying them.
Awesome to hear!
Got the mega merc with the jones mercury bindings thoughts ?? I’m so pumped for it
Nice deal, I love the Mega Merc but I'm not too familiar with Jones Bindings

I've always loved the Atlas with the BSOD personally
Let us know how you like the mercury, I’ve been looking into getting it
Will do, looking to get my first runs on it tomorrow!
I got the 2024 Mercury for this season, a bit stiffer than I initally wanted but it rips everything!
Hell yeah, it sure does!

I'm definitely a fan of speed lacing from both those brands too, they have updated boa dials in the past few seasons, just to keep in mind

You should rename the video on which CAPITA board you will be riding this year aha

how do you like the Atlas paired with the Merc?
Hoping to ride the setup for the first time in the next few days

Sweet, the Ion is what I had ridden before the Insanos too. It shouldn't take more than 5 days for them to not feel like boots of steel haha
Thanks 😁!

Hi man, do you think that capita Pathfinder 159cm is good for me for freestyle ? I am 190cm tall . And the board is to my shoulders
How much do you weigh, sounds a little small of a board
@ 73-74 kg
@@timotejjesm Yeah it's a little small for you but not terrible for a park board
what was those nose guards for the Mega death?
Crab Grab skate rails, so you know you've got your grabs locked in
