Point blank... Lisa Lopez was an amazingly talented person. End of story! She had a gift for music. She could write, sing and dance. She had the coolest voice and I love the way she sings, she could rap faster and better than anyone, had great sense of style (Left Eye/Tattoo) and was really intelligent. I never thought of Lisa in terms of tabloid "drama". For me it was all about the music and TLC. I was pretty upset and shocked about her dying, and any news of it seemed incomplete. I guess I just wanted to understand, because even though I never knew Lisa personally, I still grieved and considered it a loss. I miss her. Thanks for this report. 4/29/23
😢 I got goosebumps when I was watching it, especially when she hit that Lil boy and he passed away and his last name was Lopez! After that her trip got wicked! Almost like she saw something before she crashed😢 besides that impact
Lisa proposed the challenge to get the group out of the contract they were in with their label at that time as they were signed to do three more albums
Lisa only wanted them to put out three albums in order to get out of their contract. They only owed LAFace records 3 albums. I don't think Chili and T-boz understood it but Lisa was more in tuned with the politics of the industry since she owned her label and would recruit new talent for Sony.
I love this. TLC was beyond famous, and their tuneage was so easy to get into.
