You can try to damage deny them, but if they have a single g3 nociel, they can still do their turn. There's, unfortunately, no actual way to guarantee play around Gav and Ham; which is a huge issue.
@@DifferentFight Agreed there are ways to force the opponent to have the out, but at the same time, all that is required is the single g3 nociel. I would just have casual players avoid gav at all costs if possible. Its a bad gaming expereince.
@@DifferentFight Also forgot that g3 nociel can just shove herself into damage so gav can grab another copy. Even 0 damage they only need the 1 nociel.
But at least damage denial completely denies any turn 2 Japhkiel play. Passing means you lose a card and a potential trigger, but them losing Japhkiel means they lose the same thing.
Bit of a tangent, but a ruling y'all should remember is 9.7 Damage Resolution Process. To sum it up, abilities in standby need to be resolved before damage checked cards leave the trigger zone and go to damage. This comes up all the time when calling out of damage with Hamiel, so don't slip up if you're playing as or against Gavrail in an upcoming tournament.
I can’t wait for Royals to come out. Seeing it beat LInk Joker makes me so happy. Royals deserves more love. I still think it’s a mistake to not give us broken heart in V 🤣
if they hit the deck i feel they should hit the nonciel engine so gavrail keeps her wincon cause i dont like the nonciel engine slows me down more than it helps me
also to note about the damage denial not working, if the angelfeather player opens gavrail and holy seraph nociel they can get to 3 for just 3 soul from zero damage.
@@mkultrarare This. The new support is either not so good or is basically the same level as previous waves, or slightly worse than them (DDD for example).
Hey DF what do think about a g-unit called g sentinels. You discard a heal to play them but you discard cards that sum up to gr 3 or greater and they nullify the attack but they give an initial 15k power just as if you would stride on your turn.
@@soppyfresh5388 well you just pay both the stride and g guardian cost so in theory you should only minus two (one heal and a gr3 or gr4 if you play gears) but yes it is possible to discard 4 if you don't have enough.
@@halokid2544 at that point I’d just play the guardians tbh. Having another Avenue that encourages you to dump your hand for a sentinel that gives you 15 doesn’t seem as good as g guardians that will typically have more synergy with your deck and grant you more value. Especially considering that there’s a lot of decks that can just punch through the +15 anyway
@@soppyfresh5388 I know, overall I want g sentinels to be used at least once maybe twice. Its just another defensive option that doesn't creep shield power but instead conserves a regular sentinal, potentially a crit shield, and a heal for possible g guard. The goal isn't to force players to use this but as another option while conserving other options.
My biggest issue with power creep in vanguard is that you can't play the game in the early turns without giving your opponent the means to murder you late game these days. This is a big reason premium was such a turn off for me, and this is the same. Honestly this is what the design space of the game should be avoiding in my opinion.
Between the play set of Hamiel, play set of Nakir (g3 searcher), Raguel able to call a soul blasted Hamiel, Japh, Zophiel and Gavrail being to get her from damage to hand and the sheer number of cards being checked, it is very easy to go turn after turn with Hamiel.
Option 1: Don't fill your board until your kill turn (rg based decks should ensure they leave a column open). Option 2: Play Neos Option 3: Play literally any accel deck ever
Gavrail is still by a large margin the best deck in V-premium, deck is super consistent and ignorant, Japanese players have 0 game sense when analyzing Gavrail, it's better version of the X, I suggest a Gavrail G3 nociel choice restriction so that at least damage denial can be a thing
The fact that this man is going out of his way to show how to defeat a deck that he could potentially win spring fest with, really makes me feel man.
I'd rather people have a better experience above all else LOL
I see that gundam 40th anniversary uniqlo collaboration shirt. I see you
i want this shirt too my god i huge fan of gundam series
Play chaos breaker. Lock there 2 front row.
Thank you so much for making this video.
Glad it was helpful!

Yeah absolutely, I just wanted to point out to the more casual players that there are still ways you can reduce being blown up

@@SoniChris98 Im not saying dont pass, what Im really saying is there's no counterplay. Being able to survive hamiel is completely arbitrary.
this deck was the bane of my existence in the last tourney i joined, good to know that there are counters to it
Gavrail Best Deck
Dauntless Blademaster is the most underrated in Kagero, and I’ll show people that is to be feared
Gavrail without Hamiel is like a pizza without sauces

Great resource for fighting gavrail
The issue is that my local gavrail player is a cheater XD
Thanks for the effort, very informative video, and very enjoyable to watch.
Dude that sucks man
He's BACK!
12:25 yeah 8 trigger checks and 0 triggers was the worst feeling I've ever had.

reverse units doesn't not exist in V era nor did they released one yet. very unlikely
I have a fun way to stop hamiel with malkuth, I set shin on top and let that massive attack hit. Swap vanguards, damage disappears.
People: I want to know how to beat Gavrail!
Me: I want a badass shirt for Gundam X now :(
Really hope this vid just says scoop
How to beat come back ^^ So when will Set Breakdown comeback ??

@@rds1659 Then you damage deny them at 1.
@@PS-th9jc still cant, 1 damage means gavrail uses her skill to get to 2 damage, then nociel for third

Tbh that might kill the deck competitively
As for banlist. Restict hammeil to 1.
I wonder why he censored the eyes lmao
If she sees you that's +5 crit :(
Does a mordred deck stand a chance?
No, they require too much setup. You need to hit Gavi for 6 damage on your turn 3 or 4 swing
I assume if they have Read Guards on turn 1 or 2 to swing at them
Absolutely yup
Can’t believe I paused two screenshots of you to make a Spongebob meme
Keep them to 0 or 1 damage
As a Gavi player, we can hit 3 damage off of 1
Well at least there’s counterplay in premium without being forced to run a specific clan.
Just adapt :forehead:
I hope gavrail be banned in the future
Or hamiel or any angel feather you mention this video
I don’t think so it’s powerful but as he said you can work around it
Different fight copied solem ?
I did these way before he even had a channel? LOL
is that jojo referent??
Simple: don't play the game
