Beautifully made and finished! And who cares about a square foot of roof wrap... your expression was truly priceless. You really make beautiful things.
The "winter projects" look awesome all lined up outside! What a fantastic achievement. Probably your first winter in a number of years that you got to work indoors (for the most part). When Lauren gets married, you'll probably have to build all of those things again for her yard! LOL Completely enjoyed following along with you. Look forward to whatever's next. BTW, the veggies look GREAT!
Chicks are a chirping. I like the red. That is a nice table saw. It stores so well and folds out fast. Nice little garden Ken. The white trim with the red body paint looks very nice Ken. Nice drip edge. I liked how you put "Ken" up on the screen bigger and bigger when you forgot the roof wrap. I think it'll be okay Ken. Thanks for showing us the ridge cap shingles. That's cool that they tear apart so easy and bend easily. I like it! Those chicks are looking like their feathers are mostly in. I love the Kenstead! Thanks for this video Ken!
Great looking build Ken! I felt your pain when discovering the roofing issue. Just be thankful that it wasn’t a bad cut on a very expensive piece of wood, now that wood be heartbreaking. Love the sense of humor!😁😊
Another excellent piece of work and video Ken also kyia is very comical it probably would be faster for you to not having to watch her but it’s a pleasure watching her race around the workshop 😮😊❤
As we expected, the wishing well turned out beautifully! 😊 However, like the other structures on the Kenstead, it seems to be missing a dozen or so little hooks for stringing up the Christmas lights! 😂 I'm really enjoying these builds, Ken!
Hey Ken, I play an online game, a sandbox MMO type of game sort of like Mine Craft. I have made some of these, and plan on making a greenhouse next. In my game I have cows & chickens & I use the milk & eggs along with other resources in the game to cook decoration foods. I have a wishing well & a barn in my farm supplies shop I sell farm supplies so that other players can farm too. I have farms and grow wheat, corn, potatoes, eggplant & tomatoes. I have berry farms to use in crafting several items in game. Lastly I have a cotton farm and a rubber farm. All of these are decorated to look like real farms down to hay bales, wheelbarrows, rain water collection, watering troughs, scarecrows, sprinkler systems, fences & even a tractor that looks like a John Deere, that you actually ride on to pick crops. This game gives you in game money for mining & you can sell to other players, what you mine and craft (craftable cash register). Cubic Castles - a Cosmic Cow game on Steam, mobile and web.
Nice job on the wishing well Ken..............you are slowly getting quite the village. It will soon look like the village around your train layout. Can't wait to see what you are up to next.
As you were painting the body of the well cover, I was reminded of an episode from “The Brady Bunch” I saw way back in 1981 where they were renovating their home and the kids were given strict instructions to only move brushes and rollers in the vertical direction, and the shenanigans that resulted from NOT following those instructions. On the other hand, I really started to giggle when Editor Ken was trying to get your attention after 11:00, but your face at just before 13:00 really had me laughing out loud. Thank you!
Nice looking well cover Ken. Not only did you forget the roof wrap, you forgot the ridge vent too.😆 I built a lot of houses (the whole thing) and we used three and one shingles and nailed them on with a hammer. I never saw anyone use tin snips to cut the shingles before. Never got into metal.
I yelled, but you didn’t hear me😂 although the birds and animals did here on the mountain, I can still hear the echoes. 🤣 It must be because I am so far away in 🇨🇦. Awesome job on the wishing well! Minus the roof wrap🤪
Hi Ken, beautiful wishing well you just made. I have a question, I may be wrong on this, isn't there supposed to be a bucket with a rope and a handle that would lower and raise the bucket attached inside the well cross member? I really love that chicken coupe too the colors of the well and coupe are so country like. Keep up your great work Ken. thanks again.
I have the same table saw as you and since I have a small shop space and I've retired I put my chop saw on a platform with wheels. Same for my workbench. I'm going to do it with all my tools on tables. I love it! It really makes the space larger.
I remember a home I lived in as a young boy, 1950's, in New England having shingle siding and wondered if that was done for cost at the time and why it was discontinued.
That’s going to look great with the chicken coop. I’m kind of partial to red and white, especially for rural buildings. What the heck is that noise that happens in your videos? It sounds like a snowblower right next to the camera and microphone. It sometimes drowns out your voice.
Another fine build Ken. Pretty soon your neighbors will be coming to shop in your front yard. No primer? Spinning the building is a lot easier than getting up and down off your knees multiple times :D I don't imagine roof wrap is all that important on your well house. Does the ridge cap actually do anything in this situation given you already have 2 layers of shingle overlap over the peak?
You know Ken, you would not have to build a whole new garage for your train's if you just raised the roof of your shop and put in a second floor for your train depot. then you also get your shop back. 😄
Hi Ken, I enjoy your videos. My question is.....Can you point me to some plans for a simple 10x20 or 10x16 shed for my backyard? I'd like to put it on runners in case I have to move it. I'd like a metal roof and possibly metal or T1-11 siding. While I'm not a builder, I think this is something I can tackle cheaper than a $5 ,000 price tag that I'm seeing pre-built here in Michigan.
I haven't been shopping in years, but a few decades ago (1991?) I got an 8 x 12 shed in kit form, shipped to my site. It was about the same $$ as buying locally, but having the materials pre-cut and numbed with a set of plans made short work of it, only using a helper to hand me things. Took about 2 days of easy work and no power tools. It's still standing today. This one was T-111 outside and 3 tab shingles for the roof.
Thanks for the info on shingles. Didn't know about the inferior products which lead to lawsuits. We need to get our roof replaced and now I'm leaning towards metal. Nice job on the wishing well, it looks so good.
Safety conscious Ken puts on his safety glasses to use the chop saw and then pushes material through a table saw without a push stick. 😅 I would hate to see you lose a finger.
@@kenskarpentry it’s probably the best known media platform to sell your type of product I think. (It also provides a prepayment to you prior to building the customer’s order) you can also specify “collection only” so you don’t need to provide a delivery service etc. Good luck!
@kenskarpentry so actually all yours are for Sale right and mostly you advertise there products right.. BUT I FINALLY CONVINCED THEM TO SEND ME A FREE BASKET BUT IT'S NOT HERE YET BUT IT DOES SHOW IT'S ON IT'S WAY... so it's suppose to be here on the 3rd..

Well done Ken. Thanks for showing us what it's like to be human. 🤭

Looks great. The paint really makes it pop. Thanks Ken!
Thanks 👍

What a great video Ken. I need to make one for my well casing, and your videos will guide me. Pretty sturdy.
Cool
Hi Ken. Nice build by the time you finish you will have a small town set up. Take care.

After building for others, now you are building for you. A nice feeling...
Yes it is

Haha yes. Snowshoes might be to hard for her
Hi, Ken! I love the wishing well, but honestly, Kia is the cutest thing around. Thanks for the video. I can't wait to see what's next!

I think it will do just fine without roof wrap.

Thank you so much
Woops lol I can't believe you didn't hear me my friend I was yelling don't forget the roof wrap..🌴😎

Ken shouldn’t the corner trim have been two different widths for balance in widths?
I opted to just do it this way
Ken, you need to put a sign out by the road with prices. Might as well make some side money…
Haha I’m a hundred feet from the end of the road

We've found that by spraying things with WD-40 it keeps out the bees. Maybe he'll have to spray the inside with it.
One of the hazards to working alone is nobody says, "that don't look right". My wife checks up on me.
