When I was buying a new sib I looked at this one but thought it would maybe get to hot on a sunny day with it being black, my logic could be wrong and I stay just across the water from arran in Ayrshire great to see your videos up my way
Yeah I did take this into consideration when designing the Hydrus but with the UK summers not being anywhere near like the med heat It's never really an issue. If it's a hot day you simply let out a tad of air with a few taps on the nozzles 🙂
Subbed to your channel great content love to see the SIB ripping in the seas! I just got my first SIB myself, VIsuti, so far so good with a 9.9 mercury 2 stroke I'm learning to operate. Keep up the great content OYZ peace from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Cavitation plate should be horizontal in line with the boat hull. There will be trim notches on the outboard. Might also be engine is sitting too low on transom.maybe that's why you are getting so much spray at the rear? Our Avon 3.15 with a yamaha malta 3.5hp from 1994 will plane with 2 aboard and is less spectacular than this. Should your big boat have engine failure, lashing the tender alongside on the quarter with bowline, stern line and a spring will get you out of trouble. Big boat will steer and Dinghy provides the power. Well done on the yacht! "Better drowned than duffers, if not duffers, won't drown"
Get up Alan! That’s a sweet looking “rib”. Super slick and I like the attachment points for everything and the fish ruler on the side. Was it designed specifically as a fishing boat or just a runabout with some makeup?
It’s a fair point. We’ve found after having it for longer that when taking it out in hotter conditions it does absorb heat, but you can just let out air in increments over time as it expands. Fortunately most of the adventures we have had on this were in Scotland, so it wasn’t an issue we encountered very much, but this may have been an oversight in our analysis 🌥🏴
You should do this with the Challenger 2 inflatable boat and engine kit or intex inflatable boat and engine kit and see how they do against your inflatable boat
"Most advanced inflatable boat" - shows a boat with a flat airdeck with inflatable keel, 20+ year old tech, and even then it wasn't the most advanced (See Bombard Aerotec). Sad to see that this outdated wobblyy inflatable deck version is still in production, there are much better inflatable floor alternatives on the market. Calling it "most advanced" is outright hilarious.
Hi lads great stuff , keep living the dream , make every day better than the last 🏍👍boat names ( sib’ll Shepard ) ( buoy zone ) ( get up Allen ) ( young Ramsey ) keep up the good work , adventures , 🏍🏍👍👍
Like how he was talking about the transom whilst pointing to the top of a side tube and how it's FRP construction will protect against punctures - who else doesn't know what a transom is. Lol
Bro, if the solid transom splits (like we’ve had before) it can pierce the inflatable tubes at the back where they connect. A stronger transom means less likely to get a puncture.
I get why you are sitting in the wrong side of your cars when driving as you have to drive on the wrong side of the road over there, but why would you choose to sit in the wrong side of the boat..?
Ok, but i think that an old-school italian SIB like mine (joker boat 430) can easly defeat ALL THE NEW PVC MODERN BOAT, if you put on his stern the right engine...(evinrude 25hp - 521cc)....😂😂❤❤❤ You're great, guys...💪💪💪💪
Ike your getting paid for this lads ?? What makes it better than the Honwave T40 or T35 ?? What is the material its made from ?? Where is the reinforcing?? What thickness is the material?? Come on now we need more than just hoo haar ??
To be fair mate there has been better subs come out since this was published but at the time it was the best. We didn’t get paid to make it but he did send it to us for free for testing.
Talk about biased 😂 Just so everyone knows an honest opinion……… this boat is no different from any other inflatable, good on calm waters but more or less unusable on anything more, crappy weather most of the time in the UK so the amount of times you’ll get to use it will be low.
I vote the new boat to be called “The Kekka”
Hell of a lot of splashing from the outboard! I take a honwave any day great video lads 👍👍
Cheers champ
Fantastic addition to the fleet, Great stuff guys
Cheers Tyrone 🔥
Great shirt Alen👍 and a great video once again lads 👌👏👏👏
Everyone loves an unboxing 😀 Get Up Alan
Great review lads, and we were blown away by the stunning sea and landscapes. Keep it coming!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks

arran in Ayrshire great to see your videos up my way
It does get warm in the sun, it would only be an issue of you left it out of the water inflated or were not there to regulate the pressure
Yeah I did take this into consideration when designing the Hydrus but with the UK summers not being anywhere near like the med heat It's never really an issue. If it's a hot day you simply let out a tad of air with a few taps on the nozzles 🙂
Hi there, how would you rate the long term build quality of the seams, drings, glue and pvc ? Thanks
It's good, still going strong after a year in the water
Brilliant guys, what kind of speed u get with the 15hp, 2 stroke?
We reckon around 15-20mph, we haven’t actually measured it yet but its rapid
20kt on flat calm with one person and a tiller extension
Good to meet you out on the water on the West Kyle. Guess you were coming back from this trip. Keep it up lads.
Full video including you still to come! Was great meeting you pal! We were all buzzing that you liked the channel!
How can you compare a 3.3 air deck to a 4.2 alloy deck try doing a comparison vid with the same size honwave or excel or the boatworld
Bare in mind the 4.2 had a 20horsepower engine and it isn’t a comparison video that is one of the many chapters
Great video lads! the Suzuki outboard a 15hp? 2stroke or 4?
2 stroke all day long champ
I got a bark 3.6 haven't really tested it yet but looks nice

It is a purpose built fishing SIB
Black collor in sunny wheather... bad idea. Or good if you want to cook some egs and sousages =))

@@OutsideYourZone Orange or Red collor is better, its not heating that much and its simply easier to locate at the sea.
One day all of our SIBs will be orange
Get up Allan, loving the production on this one so far

Like how he was talking about the transom whilst pointing to the top of a side tube and how it's FRP construction will protect against punctures - who else doesn't know what a transom is. Lol
(Edited)
Weak transoms often puncture where they connect to the tube if they rub or split. Get your facts right
@@OutsideYourZone
The transom is not inflatable. It's solid

I get why you are sitting in the wrong side of your cars when driving as you have to drive on the wrong side of the road over there, but why would you choose to sit in the wrong side of the boat..?
Alex doesn’t sit on the wrong side, and for others it’s just more comfortable depending on their dominant hands coach

Don’t see a huge difference than My $600 dollar Costco tobinsport SIB. HOW MUCH IS THIS THO?
If you had them side by side you would see the difference. We think the Tobin sport is a great SIB it is obviously only worth $600 though
This feels more like a promotional and advertising video. Seen nothing special of this Hydrus H6.
