Amy's death always saddens me. Not every celebrity death has this type of effect on me. I keep thinking she had no real friends and anyone who truly looked out for her. She didn't just die, she fell apart.
She had good friends. A best friend who loved her if you looked at all the docs and the movie. As a child of an alcoholic, there is not much you can do until they want to change.
You'd have to understand the clinical presentation of Borderline Personality Disorder in order to understand WHY Amy was so vulnerable to Blake's persuasions. The trauma caused by her father's abandonment was a wound so profound she couldn't overcome. She desperately needed mental health treatment, but person's that suffer from BPD live with so much shame it's virtually impossible to receive help until that is first addressed. Had she not experienced the pain from Mitch's behaviors she never would have been attracted to Blake! She NEEDED Blake to work through her feelings about Mitch.
Everyone in her life used her for their own gain, including her own Dad
Yup
@@ChrisCornell420like Britney
She started her astray path when Mitch left
Both parents ignored her bulimia
He wanted her on tour, not rehab
Blake was cream on top, but problems started many years prior
This breaks my heart to be honest
It's super sad. Only someone made out of steel won't feel bad for her. Or anyone in her position
I’m thinking maybe her tolerance went down during those 3 weeks of sobriety and then she relapsed that night and drank the amount she usually drinks but is actually too much now so it kills her. Heroin users do this all the time too. Whatever the case may be, it’s so sad to see such amazing, genuine talent go to waste. But I’m now wondering would her music be as good or hit so hard if it were not about dark subjects like her addictions and rocky relationships?
This actually makes sense but 3 full bottles just sounds crazy! Especially for someone who only weighed around 100 pounds
It was also bulimia.
I'm positive between that factor as well as her bulimia is exactly what caused her death. This wasn't mentioned in this episode, but when her parents saw her body, her father Mitch said that her cheeks were flushed, which was typical whenever she had a seizure. My theory is that she drank/chugged down those 3 bottles of vodka, because she felt she could handle it after 3 weeks of sobriety, and the last one did her in, therefore a sudden death. Amy literally and figuratively drank herself to death without intending to do so. Truly heartbreaking. And with her eating disorder along with the damage she had done to herself, she was almost destined to have a short life.
@@eulonzomixesabsolutely rip Amy
I ended up a huge fan of Amy unfortunately after her death. She was beautiful & talented. She was amongst the wrong type of people. Nobody looked out for her.
TE ARTIST PRINT HIS SORROW Such an amazing singer.
😢❤.. a lot of pain she shows her soul was really hurt ..
I think you guys are so great. Good job with these. Cannot wait for future episodes.
Thanks so much, Joann!
@@jbeck5121 you are welcome. I lost my 19 year old son to suicide. You tell these peoples's stories with grace. I appreciate that
Kudos on this segment fellows I absolutely love it. I watched the first one and was hooked I hope you both make many more💄💙👏🏾
When is the next episode coming out 😊? I binge listened. I need more! Quality show!!!
Thank you so much. We're releasing episodes every Monday. Please subscribe on Apple or Spotify, etc.
So they got rid of all the alcohol but there were still bottles of vodka that she had access to? The 3 bottles? I dont get it.
She might've got rid of them herself, but then retrieved the bottles of vodka just before that day as a 'reward' for herself, not knowing how fatal her decision was going to be.
the guy in the black clothes, talks to fast...creates too much anxiety.
British Music is super awesome. But no county beats American Music. We freaking invented Music.
Loved this episode and this series. Speaking of Whitney Houston, can you do an episode on her?
Thank you. Whitney is definitely in the works. Please subscribe to the p'cast
Can't wait for that one. Unlike Amy, whom I love also, Whitney is one of my all-time favorites and there's a lot to unpack when it comes to her final days and passing.
@@eulonzomixeswhat about her daughter
They did
I almost forgot to leave my comment no one will likely read but here goes......They tried to make her go to rehab, I don't suppose I need to tell you what her answer was though.
There's nothing funny about her F-ing up on stage. She was vulnerable and everyone around her used her in 1 way, shape or form. Including her own Dad.
Like Britney
I wish y’all didn’t read off a script.
Yeah. We're toying with the delivery. It's a lot of info, so it's hard to commit much to memory. Listen to the audio on Apple, Spotify, etc. That way you won't see us read:)
@@jbeck5121 I think you guys did a great job. I didn't know a lot about Amy's story before. Thanks for the info.
Thanks, Gina. We love doing it.
@@jbeck5121 I understand the need for a script, don't feel pressured to make any alterations just for the video versions. As you said, it's a lot of info about lives of celebrities that aren't always easy to remember each detail/layer.
Shoot, I'm just glad you're not AI bots at this point. Notes and scripting is a tool that aids delivery and cohesion. You did well.
