Why Antitrust Laws Should Be Simple
It is long overdue. Time to tear the heart out of facebook and break it into unrecognisable pieces. Silicone valley needs a lesson and who better to be that lesson than this evil corporation.
Break up ZukFoo (or whatever the intellectual property thief calls it now).
Meta.
'Does 'Zuck' remind you of a villain for a future Bond movie? NY Times Reader Comment, 29. Oct.
They Live? 😎🕶
....Naaaa I feel like that is Jeff Bezos.
Antitrust laws ARE simple. The issue is that none of them get enforced because those responsible for doing so are owned by those breaking those laws.
Then don't let those antitrust law breakers "own" you! Would refusing their generous bribes be the end of your world, legislators?
Say that to the conglomerate that owns Sonic Corp. & Arby's among other fast food chains. Say that to Walmart the next time that you remember the old days of Kmart and Sears and JCPenney's along with so many other stores that are simply blasts from the past, for the most part.
Antitrust laws are simple, just enforce them. Congress did against standard oil.
Yes, and now it's BP which owns much more.
Should a social misanthrope be in charge of the biggest social networking site in the world 🌎🤔?
No way! He probably doesn't know the first thing about being social.
It's true: Anti-Trust laws *_should_* be simple. If we don't trust a company, hang the directors. It won't cure the problem but it'll sure as 💩reduce its frequency.
0:28 "Bark Zuckerberg" is in the house?
If antitrust still worked, we wouldn't have to pay our rigged cable bills. Most customers want six or seven channels, but must pay for all of them. That's not equitable.
I agree that monopolies are bad. The democratic and republican parties are also monopolies and should be broken up. The media are also monopolies.
Anyone who feels we shouldn’t immediately topple the federal government, is an enemy of the Working Class, and all decent folk.
@@semyonbudyonny1895 I think that depends on your definition of "topple." :)
Haven't had a good breakup since AT&T.
We certainly don't need more laws when we can't even enforce the ones we do have. Maybe simplifying them would help shorten US code, but that's about all it would do. We would still have an enforcement, or lack thereof, problem.
All his money and Zuckerturd can't afford a better hairpiece???
😬 *ENFORCE THE LAWS!* Don't ignore the laws which are your responsibility and forget your own rules just because it's inconvenient for your profits and desire to control everyone. Facebook, Disney and many more monopolies need to be broken up quite a bit! We need more competition in this world. It is not fair if only a few people are allowed to be capitalists and lock out everybody else from getting a chance to get to the top. Plus, I absolutely despise people who break in-network policies and equal pay laws and dodge any consequences for it. October 30, 2021, 10:25pm
I don't know the best way to word this. I'm a roofer not an IT guy, but here is my best attempt. The problem I see here is that it is a platform. How do you break that up. I have a Facebook account. I don't use it often. My wife does. The Gods forbid you take that away. My point is how could you make it so that if someone posted something. Someone else could see it no matter if they use that platform. Say they boycotted Facebook. People get addicted to a platform. In some cases worse than crack.
The Shame Wizard would like to pay Meta and MZ a visit.
Why are you still on Fb?
I’m not..😳 Am I in trouble? 😂 All of us have deleted Facebook and messenger. You couldn’t have messenger without Facebook. My sister made me do it and immediately I felt stupid. We never used it. I don’t know if she deleted hers. But I did in less than 3 months. It took forever to delete it. I almost had to give them my first born child, I swear. 🤦🏼♀️ You can’t just delete. Have to practically ASK Facebook to. 🤨
Focus groups preferred "Meta" over "Colossus"
"Engulf and Devour" was also on the table
Amplifies the most toxic... Sounds like every news channel on the planet
Don't blame social network companies when you're the party of personal responsibility who also believes in a God that doesn't exist as the person responsible for everything. Let's be clear, you chose to be on Facebook because it's worldwide. You can chose NOT to be radicalized but you don't like that. So do t blame Facebook for your own issues.
Julius Jones murdered Paul Howell in front of his children. 🦘
All big tech and MSM will have a conservative division. New fair play bill coming soon
Do you mean the already conservative leaning big money corporate interests that they already have, or specifically making them right-wing like Fox News and NewsMax?
