Nah dude, till season 7. They had good art, story and creativity. Theh the movie came out, they had to change the art to this abomination we see in season 8. And if im being totally honest, i reckon season 10 was where it should have ended, coz they kinda beat the og baddies. But i guess they wanted to show off a few more realms. Kinda hated how they killed the cursed and djinjago realms tbh. 16 was such a nice number.
Oh how I miss the Oni Trilogy spinjitzu. The textures looked so good, I loved how Cole’s left a lava trail, and I enjoyed the way they built it up with what looked like breakdancing. It looks so much better that the current look.
I personally really liked the added detail that spinjitsu wore them down a bit so they couldn't use it as often. Season 8 is easily my favourite version of it.

my main problem with the newer stuff isn’t with how the spinjitzu looks or anything but rather the fact that they barely use spinjitzu at all anymore, i get how now with the new animation they probably don’t feel as reliant on it in the fight scenes as they use to but i use to love how useful they made spinjitzu look, like how the ninja used it to clean up the bounty or how they used it along with a plank of wood to escape the dark matter pit. i just wish the ninja would use spinjitzu more especially outside of battle

If the movie and tv show we’re 2 completely different things then I probably wouldn’t mind there designs and maybe thought they were cool for a 1 off thing. But the movie infected the series with the new character designs and to me personally takes an so so movie to one I absolutely DESPISE. For some reason when I think of Ninjago I think of that one classic episode when the boys delivered pizza and no body gave them tips. That was a memorable episode for some reason.
I understand why people wouldn’t like the newer stuff, but I absolutely adore the newer lighting, graphics, the spinjitzu designs to me look so much less cookie cutter and more diverse among each of the characters. That scene with Lloyd in s8 with the green lightning from his own spinjitzu was glorious. I mean seriously the changes that have been made and the evolution of graphics and character design are just spectacular and eye catching. S13’s scenery of the palace is a great example, and it shows how far the show has really come. Yes, I love the older parts of the show too, I’ve watched it since the pilot, but in an age where everything can look 10 million times better, I think they have masterfully captured the new graphics while still keeping the Ninjago feel. It’s less janky cgi design (god Kai’s hair frustrates me), and now it’s smoother, the lightning and shadows are perfect, and the use of glows and shines are wonderful. If you want to catch a certain feeling through your scenery, I think s8 and up really grabbed a hold of it to help push the feelings they were going for. Sure some of the writing and pacing got off in a season or two, but you have to admit that seeing our favorite ninjas in spectacular lightning and environments that really pop and feel much less plastic really bring the show to life.
I believe the the main reasons for people disliking the newer seasons is the story writing, nostalgia, and nerfs. Also with the fact that people tend to see the dark of things more than light.

My favorite is the season 8 version. Don't only it had lot of details, every ninjas also have their each different "warming up" before doing Spinjitzu. For example, Lloyd doing spellcaster thingy hand gestures. Zane doing headspin. Cole hits the ground/breakdancing. Nya backflipping (i guess?). Kay doing 2 turns, while Jay doing just 1 turns. It add so much to their personality.

I was watching it ever since it started in 2011 and loved it. But I kinda lost interest in it around season 5-6 and eventually forgot about the show. I assumed the show would get cancelled like its predecessor Bionacle. And when I was scrolling through Netflix, I found it again. For nostalgia I decided to watch it again and was surprised it’s still going with no sign of stopping. And eventually I fell back in love with it.

I always wondered why Kai's and Zane's Spinjitzu are more spherical than a tornado in the new animation. My guess is they're supposed to resemble a fireball and a snowball
Personally, I really hated the Oni Trilogy spinjitzu because it looks much less like a controlled tornado and more like they just turn into mindless orbs of power (especially Zane and Kai) but Wildbrain made them look awesome with how they bend and tilt based on direction to better sell the impact of a hit
They really tried to make everything detailed in SOG, my guess is that it was to try to get people to enjoy the new animation. But it seems like it's getting less detailed now and the last few seasons have felt... Off... In general. I haven't seen season 13 yet but i wanted to share my opinion on the matter
I laugh at how they changed the designs so fans of the movie would be more comfortable jumping aboard but NEVER explain things that people starting in the new season would understand
One thing I hate about spinjitzu nowadays is that the animation of it keeps on changing and is inconsistent, like in season 9 and then season 10, and 11 they were changed again, I just wished there was a consistent spinjitzu animation.

imma be honest, as the series went on into its 3rd year i thought it just completely dropped spinjitzu, never saw it in any of the episodes i watched
I’m glad they changed Kai and Zane’s spinjitzu back to the normal tornado. I wasn’t a fan of how theirs changed in season 8-10

@@loyalpanda05 personally since they changed there appearance I can’t connect with the show anymore,I know that sounds dumb but to me they feel like completely different people but just with the same voice it’s SO infuriating to me personally. If the movie and tv show we’re 2 completely different things then I probably wouldn’t mind there designs and maybe thought they were cool for a 1 off thing. But the movie infected the series with the new character designs and to me personally takes an so so movie to one I absolutely DESPISE. And the sad thing is it had the potential to be super super good,oh well. Maybe when we figure out how to get to alternate dimensions I can find a verson of that movie that dosent COMPLETELY suck😔✌️

For some reason when I think of Ninjago I think of that one classic episode when the boys delivered pizza and no body gave them tips. That was a memorable episode for some reason.
I understand why people wouldn’t like the newer stuff, but I absolutely adore the newer lighting, graphics, the spinjitzu designs to me look so much less cookie cutter and more diverse among each of the characters. That scene with Lloyd in s8 with the green lightning from his own spinjitzu was glorious. I mean seriously the changes that have been made and the evolution of graphics and character design are just spectacular and eye catching. S13’s scenery of the palace is a great example, and it shows how far the show has really come. Yes, I love the older parts of the show too, I’ve watched it since the pilot, but in an age where everything can look 10 million times better, I think they have masterfully captured the new graphics while still keeping the Ninjago feel. It’s less janky cgi design (god Kai’s hair frustrates me), and now it’s smoother, the lightning and shadows are perfect, and the use of glows and shines are wonderful. If you want to catch a certain feeling through your scenery, I think s8 and up really grabbed a hold of it to help push the feelings they were going for. Sure some of the writing and pacing got off in a season or two, but you have to admit that seeing our favorite ninjas in spectacular lightning and environments that really pop and feel much less plastic really bring the show to life.
And this is pretty much just me saying “pretty things, yes.” Lmao
I believe the the main reasons for people disliking the newer seasons is the story writing, nostalgia, and nerfs. Also with the fact that people tend to see the dark of things more than light.

My favorite is the season 8 version. Don't only it had lot of details, every ninjas also have their each different "warming up" before doing Spinjitzu.
For example, Lloyd doing spellcaster thingy hand gestures. Zane doing headspin. Cole hits the ground/breakdancing. Nya backflipping (i guess?). Kay doing 2 turns, while Jay doing just 1 turns.
It add so much to their personality.
For real why do people hate the oni trilogy I love it

Bro this was my childhood and ngl I still watch it to this day. I literally rewatched this whole show probably at least 6 or 7 times waiting for the new seasons. I always enjoyed this show I’m getting older but who says only kids can watch it I mean older people can too and still enjoy it.

I'm just shocked this show is STILL going on! Like damm i grew up with it and stopped watching after they stopped putting the newer seasions into neftlex. And i compleatly forgot about it till i heard the theme song coming from downstairs. And i was like

I was watching it ever since it started in 2011 and loved it. But I kinda lost interest in it around season 5-6 and eventually forgot about the show. I assumed the show would get cancelled like its predecessor Bionacle. And when I was scrolling through Netflix, I found it again. For nostalgia I decided to watch it again and was surprised it’s still going with no sign of stopping. And eventually I fell back in love with it.
@@IShatTheBed I think that after season 10 Ninjago changed too much. The only season that i didn't watch lately was Season 13, but Still seasons 11-13 lost lot of interest for me

I always wondered why Kai's and Zane's Spinjitzu are more spherical than a tornado in the new animation. My guess is they're supposed to resemble a fireball and a snowball

Personally, I really hated the Oni Trilogy spinjitzu because it looks much less like a controlled tornado and more like they just turn into mindless orbs of power (especially Zane and Kai) but Wildbrain made them look awesome with how they bend and tilt based on direction to better sell the impact of a hit
They really tried to make everything detailed in SOG, my guess is that it was to try to get people to enjoy the new animation.
But it seems like it's getting less detailed now and the last few seasons have felt... Off... In general.
I haven't seen season 13 yet but i wanted to share my opinion on the matter
If you want to understand what i mean, just look at Cole's from season 8
I think u would enjoy s13 much more then 11-12 but it still doesn’t compare to 8-9 quite yet

One thing I hate about spinjitzu nowadays is that the animation of it keeps on changing and is inconsistent, like in season 9 and then season 10, and 11 they were changed again, I just wished there was a consistent spinjitzu animation.
