It baffles me how people that never been broke give tips. For one, broke means not even having subscriptions or credit or PayPal...
I get it. This is middle class broke...not real broke that you have to check your bank account to see how much money you can spend on groceries...I remember a friend was telling her friend that she is struggling financially. Her friend told her, "Oh, just don't buy coffee everyday, don't eat out, don't go shopping, cancel Netflix and you'll be fine." They really don't get it....she was already not doing those things....People don't know what being broke is....
Being broke is having to choose to spend ur last 5 pounds on heat, electricity or food. She's never been "broke" in her life, the silly mare.

Staying alive is hard enough. Otherwise you'd see a ton of smart working-class/ghetto kids becoming business owners and ceo's.
I think my favorite tip was to humble yourself w/ a side job. I really needed to hear this b/c I'm about ready to quit my corporate job and I really don't want another. I'm ready to start my own business but I definitely need a part-time job at least.

I sometimes didn't want to do that, because of taking a lower hourly rate, but now I see how it would help. Anyway, thank you Vannessa!

excellent advice as always. i especially liked the part about limiting beliefs. i think it's so ironic that you used to have a limiting belief that the market was too saturated. because to me, you're definitely someone who stands out from all the rest!! i've seen a lot of videos from people giving business and social media advice. but you stand out to me because of the way you explain things clearly, your confidence, and the way you give valuable, fascinating advice. i really think of you as a role model, and that's not something i say about people often!!

I love the limiting beliefs assignment in BGA! It has helped me so much with my mindset ❤️ Although it’s a constant battle sometimes, I go back to the assignment whenever I feel “down” and focus on things I’m good at ☺️

Calendly is awesome :D I did it by hand first and its so messy. But you can use calendly for free if you have absolutely no money. Its not as good though.

I love the advice it's just impossible surviving on a part time job here in Hawaii (grew up here and have a 4mo old and furrbabies etc) so it's stressful juggling being a momma working part time abd trying to launch my handmade jewelry business while still trying to pay bills in meantime but I got this! Great advice for anyone that can survive working part time! Definitely still do it and build your biz on days off! That's the best way to take the stress and desperation off your businesses success.

I love this video and changing it up for what you would do if you were back square zero. Facebook is so so helpful and it's been one of the biggest traffic drivers for my UA-cam channel. Don't underestimate Facebook! But, be careful which Facebook group you are in because they can be spammy sometimes.
