Great job! I have a suggestion after watching one of your last videos and I heard you mention about breathing through the mouth vs nose 👃. First off, glad you gave a little disclaimer that it dries the throat/mouth quickly. And I'll admit it took me sometime to connect through the nose too. Except once you learn a little trick it's no longer even an afterthought. It's what I call "this pitch" and psyching the mind out by that heavy sigh you make right when someone is getting on your nerves and you want to say something ugly but you do that jesus-take-the-wheel I guarantee you will breathe through your nose first before your mouth. This is my technique but you're free to use it as a breakdown for students who are visual learners like actors. 😄👏🏾 (It's a slightly annoyed feeling which may sound weird but let's remember technique isn't everything without a little acting to enhance performance imho)
Hey there! so I have a question....so I always wanted to be CONTRALTO, because I have a deep voice from hypothyroidism, so if you can please like have a live about contralto or do a video about, that would really help me find my contralto singing voice and i really REALLY have a deep voice, so it would really help to have some warm ups for beginners and it would really help learn more about it, thank you and have a nice day :)
Hey! I was wondering, do you prefer to have students work on pitch matching or note matching? Is one more productive than the other? Also, I've noticed that you mention scale degrees more often than intervals. Is it easier for singers to think of it that way?
Pitch matching and note matching are the same thing. Unless I'm not understanding your Q fully. We like to work from scale degrees because songs are built from keys. Having that key/tonal center is important when you get to the more complicated intervals, or if you start entering into 9ths, 11ths, 13ths and such. Knowing the intervals relative to the scale/key is the ultimate goal.
@@30DaySinger Maybe I have it a little twisted in my head. I meant pitch matching like, say we're doing a song and I sing exactly what you sing. Note matching I was thinking of like, while working on intervals, I would sing the interval they played (pitch matching) trying to get away from the reference song. Ten I started working on singing higher, so I started singing the highest octave of the interval they played (Note matching). Maybe I'm over complicating it...
I have really learn something today. God bless you so much

Good question 👏
How do you modify the pitch? Thanks 👋🎼🎹🎼
