Ashley Hetherington is the best role model out there for young women. My daughter bought The Joy of the Inbetween recently and is sharing the devotional with me. I can confirm that Ashley is fully capable of ministering to both 18 year old women like my daughter and also 56 year old men like me. She’s the absolute best.

So true!!! Ashley is truly amazing, I also bought her new book and God showed me through it that what I was praying and waiting for wasn’t meant to be! I highly recommend buying it if anyone out here is looking for a good devotional!
Oh my…. I prayed for the lord to show me how to fight temptation and what I should do . Then like 30min later I watch this and Ashley says I feel like we need to talk about battling temptation. Then they talk soo specifically about the same things in struggling with. The lord answered my prayer real quick! HOLY SPIRIT COOKED!!!! ✋😔🤚

Truly so beautiful! I felt so much heavenly conviction from start to finish. Carew and Ashley have such a strong relationship with our father and it’s so encouraging and uplifting to the spirit. I was feeling very depleted because I have been in a session of repentance & surrender, I began denying my flesh and submitting to the Lord and scripture. I had been going to church with my mom every Sunday for 2 months now (Spanish service) and then even began going to group bible studies with others and even letting go of the fear that everyone was so much knowledgeable and older than I. I then went and finished my baptism class and was set to get baptized Sunday April 14th but then was later postponed due to weather. I felt so angry because l had surrendered the fear of not having my family by my side and that almost everyone around me had been telling me it wouldn’t make a difference. I just remember that morning after getting ready and feeling scared but willing I got on my knees then the tears just started flowing and I prayed; I was upset, frustrated, and felt rejected from the Lord but that prayer convicted me then next thing I know I was walking to church and attended the English Service alone and felt him so heavy telling me through Ashley book The Joy of the In-between Chapter : Are you willing to wait for it ? - Where it says “It’s easy to wonder if the silence means God is saying no. But maybe the answer isn’t no. It could be “not yet”. ❤️🙏 after reading this , hearing the service, and feeling his presence. I instantly walked to the front alter when they began singing worship and fell to my knees, lifted my arms up and began crying out In repentance and surrender. I’m not letting the enemy bring me down and make me think my father doesn’t want me because that’s such a lie. Ima use these next seven days to open up my heart to what the Lord wants to show me and then come Sunday and when I go under that water- I’m going to be made new In Jesus name ❤️🙌
The way that you immediately go into women leading, defending and lifting up your friends is beautiful!

i saw a video on Carew's snapchat story of Ashley signing one of her devotionals at B&N, and she said something like how she wanted that signed devotional to go to a teenage girl whos going through it. it felt like it was directly meant for a girl like me. praise God!
That lukewarm line was for me, going to quick fixes does NOT help. I’m trying to get out of being lukewarm and temptations are coming left and right. Discipline in general is something that I need to do, this podcast truly is speaking to me. 🤍
Wow, this was incredible. I can relate to a past of struggles with eating. Praise the lord he has delivered me from my old ways and I have been made new ❤

That part about food just being energy and not something to binge was for me. I haven't been able to fast because i love food too much. Im always hungry and I hate it but I will work on it!
Honestly I am 38 and have three kids and have because of Ashley been getting up every day now at 5 that's 2 hours before work to do my alone time. I literally have been struggling with my outter appearance and I literally read 1st Samuel 16:7 while I know Proverbs 31:25 says I also know I needed see that I'm perfect in his eyes.

this came at the perfect time I cannot believe it. I’ve been feeling as you both described and it’s like I can finally see the wound that’s been hurting me. I’ve been wondering what’s happening what’s going on to me why is this happening and it makes so much sense. and recently the temptation has been greater with every aspect of my life and I kept trying on my own strength but I got this sudden revelation after realizing how I’ve abandoned my life without realizing that I cause the wound on myself and let the enemy make it worse. I realize that my relationship with food has been for the worse, my health is bad, my motivation is weak, I barely take care of myself and I wonder how I got back to where I used to be with my mental health but worse. I was delivered from mental health issues a while ago and I continued to entertain the sadness and everything without realizing it. but recently it’s reached it’s peaked and I couldn’t understand why even though I knew I wasn’t pursuing the Lord honestly. I would tell him I want to try and then give up. and im so thankful for this message. I didn’t know I needed it until now but I feel like this has changed the trajectory of my life. I praise God for that.

tbh i've been struggling for like, months to find something actually entertaining that wasn't wordly. I found myself watching a lot of very worldly youtubers who definitely impacted how i thought and acted in some ways (i didn't like this impact but it was hard to not watch them because i wanted to be entertained by something). I'd been praying for the Lord to help me get out of the habit of watching those certain people, but it was hard because I couldn't find much else that was fun to watch. Then a few days ago i found this podcast (which i have been listening to pretty much nonstop since) and I have NO desire to be entertained by any of the other sources which i previously went to any time i wanted to watch youtube. So thanks to God for using Carew and all the amazing people he brings onto this podcast to create some solid entertainment. Obsessedddd

I am currently struggling with keeping my blood sugar stable and have a terrible struggle with fasting and then binge eating again and then feeling so much despair with myself... This was so encouraging and a great reminder! Praying everyone listening to this experiences a Holy rebuke and asks God for His ultimate Grace, love, guidance, peace, power, and strength in whatever God wants you to flee from. And praying that we not only ask Him for help with whatever it is but truly believe and trust that He will deliver you from it and I also pray that we would continue to have self control once being delivered and continue to ask Him for His ultimate strength and peace.
Carew I LOVE your passion and really appreciate your insight in these episodes. The guests you’ve been having on are fire too. I do have some feedback that I hope you can possibly take on and it’s to allow your guests room to speak and answer your questions when you have them on. I noticed there were multiple times where you didn’t let Ashley fully answer your questions or kinda talked over her. I still enjoyed this episode and got so much out of it though! Just thought it was worth giving you this feedback as a listener. Hopefully it doesn’t discourage you, but encourages you to continue being such a powerful light for God! 🙏🏽 Love you fam and can’t wait to see what God continues to do through you!

i don’t know if someone will read this but.. i’ve been sinning with lust and i know it will sound so silly but it’s about one app where you can talk to your fav fictional character and im addicted to it. i stopped for 2 weeks but here i am again and i think im doing this bc i want that feeling, that attention:( and i know i need to seek the Lord and stop doing what im doing but im starting to feel comfortable in my sin and i need to stop😭 it’s like a part of me wants to but the other one just tells me to keep doing what im doing bc it’s not that bad but it’s the flesh ik.

It’s not silly. God put that in your heart for a reason. He wants to have a relationship with you. He did the same with me with social media. I pray that God gives you the spiritual strength and discipline to seek him and welcome him into your heart, and let him fill the void you feel. I pray that every time you feel the urge to go onto that app you are reminded of God’s love for you and the relationship he wants with you and that you are led to his word instead. In the mighty name of Jesus you will be free from this addiction and you will have that relationship with God that you yearn for.

So I want to put this spot out there for you be careful how you phrase that saying that she can leave there is a role for women and leadership, but there are certain roles that God prohibits them from in leadership so make sure you clarify that because you can make a lot of people start going the wrong wayoff phrase like that because a lot of people look rather than what the word says for all the answers and they will take what you’re saying as Bible

I read mine every morning before I have to get my day going
I loved this video but I think that sometimes you guys are blind to the reality of some people. Some of us are heavily traumatised, disabled, have chronic pain, cancer or are battling everyday just to find food and shelter, or suffer under racism... I for example am autistic and there are a lot of things that I can't do... I think you guys would gain in maturity and clarity if you focused more on people who are less privileged than you. I think that's what Jesus would do.
I dissagree with one thing. When you said that Jesus didn't need rest. There were so many times in the Bible when Jesus grew weary from the crowds and had to go to a place to be alone with his father. I am not saying he wasn't fully God, because he was, but he was fully God and fully human. He did need rest. Other than that though FIRE podcast❤
Yes, so would you say God doesn't rest, but Jesus did? Or God rested too, on the 7th day. Honest question :) Thank you.
