To add to the categories of discipline, I believe there are people who want to be disciplined but struggle to get there…that’s where I am & it’s unnerving to strive for it & then watch it continue to fall by the wayside😢

This is me 😭😩 it’s a struggle
The struggle is real! I, at times go kicking and screaming (not literally lol) internally, even thought I know it’s for my own growth on this walk with Jesus. It really helps when I can quiet myself and just sit with Him, it’s usually then that I get the answer(s) that I am seeking. Matthew 7:7
I have been fasting every Wednesday for maybe a month and a half and thought that i would “take a break” today. I jump on and youʻre talking about fasting, what it means and the importance of it. Iʻm taking it as the Lord gently telling me there should be no “break” this week 🤦🏽♀️. Ok Lord, i trust you 🙏🏾
You are on the right track no need to rush because I’m sure god wants you to take your time 💕😘🙏🏾
The devil don’t take “No breaks” as many folks say ⚠️;so why are we as the children of God🤔? I had to seriously meditate on this one day and as hard as my flesh didn’t want to do fast for years (on a consistent basis that is), now I truly understand why the enemy fault me on it for so long!! There’s so much breakthrough in prayer and fasting 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I’m not saying that one must or need to fast daily (unless the Holy Spirit instructs/guides one to do so) but I will say that once or twice per week will certainly help crucify the flesh!! Giving up food for hours will definitely help to subdue other sins in one’s life as well (it’s something about withholding food from entering the stomach that always gets one attention and makes people stand to attention!!) 😂

The analogy with Caleb was key because the lord is so loving. He’s so gracious. He’s so patient with us when it comes to becoming spiritually disciplined and he gives us grace. He allows us to fall down and get up in the midst of our frustration, anger, and disappointment. He doesn’t judge either or ever get tired of us simply not putting our cups back in the sink. The timing! I literally read my devotional this morning and it was on Hebrews 12 speaking about living in righteousness & peace through discipline. I’ve been praying for more discipline 🙏🏽
Before this episode came up I called my mom to apologize for raising my voice the other day when we were speaking. I felt convicted on who I am in Christ so I loved that in this episode you pointed out that we can’t behave how we want to -it’s true and it is hard to be disciplined and not be led by our flesh ❤
Awww 🥰 As a mother of 5 adult children (whom I’ve had many moments of crying over trying to speak life into them and words of motherly advice in the most loving way while 3 of them lashed out in disrespectful ways) and although, they don’t apologize (I do forgive!) and keep loving them through their faults, I want to say “Thank you for apologizing to your mother and honoring your Heavenly Father and earthly mother”! He is well pleased with your obedience
❤ I love this be me n my mom has this tug a war relationship and spiritual I don’t want to react a certain way .sometimes I do get silent and don’t apologize right away but I would feel convicted like I did something wrong so I ask god to forgive me -and try to come to a place where I’m taking more inventory of what my actions and my walk in Jesus Christ and how to deal with people in a different higher place

Lord I come to you asking for your blessings as a single mom because I’m losing faith. I’m raising my children with courage, despite the challenges I face. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. Lord give me strength as I struggle to pay my rent every month and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children I’m ashamed Lord help me. I ask that you bless me with your wisdom and guidance, as I navigate parenthood on my own. Help me stay encouraged. 💕

I sent up a prayer for you. I do not physically know what you are going through as a mom with 2 littles but I understand the impact it can cause. I pray that God provides you the strength, understanding and guidance on how to continue raising your boys in his image. I also pray that your desire and hunger for God continues to grow as he guides you, Amen!

God has definitely been working with me on discipline with my eating for a while now. I began to walk in obedience the end of January and since then I have lost approximately 15 pounds. God is so good and he knows exactly what we need. I also have a son who’s diagnosed with autism and the lord has given me so much more patience because it’s hard. But to God be the glory, my son has made so much progress. He was also diagnosed at 2 and he’s now 5. ❤

This is really helping me. I’m going through a backslide, luckily it’s not major drug use, just a vape addiction I picked up from school. You’re encouraging me to lean completely on God, especially the part where you mentioned committing our bodies to God so that we’re not lifting ourselves up, because we’re only human and can only get so high in our own efforts, but God. God wants us to be committed so that he can spiritually lift us beyond what we can think or imagine, he has the kingdom for us, we just have to surrender. Even when it feels like gravity itself is against us, it’s not, it’s for us.
Not gonna lie. I was low key judgy before clicking this just because a perception I had of you but I’m so glad I watched this! Keep being obedient! This was amazing!!! ❤❤❤
I did a 7 day no food fast at the start of the year and it was hardddd but the Lord revealed so much to me and the spiritual impact of that fast was crazy as well. 10/10 do recommend fasting! Thank you for the encouragement Megan!
😢 I feel like the Lord is leading me to do this. What impact did you receive ??
Just a general closeness to God. I felt like I could hear Him more clearly. It was also extremely humbling and He revealed to me there were some people in my past I needed to forgive and accept my role in situations that occurred. On the last day of my fast my father went into the hospital and was practically dead for the whole day. He’s fine now, but I’m convinced that was like a spiritual response to my spiritual act. There’s a lot more to that story that I’m not going to get into. I never thought that would be something I experienced after a fast. There’s another pastor I watch on UA-cam and he says that when you fast there are bound to be things that happen in the physical realm because fasting is a spiritual practice. It strengthens our spirit while weakening our flesh. And that was definitely the case. I haven’t done another 7 day fast I think I may do like one every quarter of the year so it’s definitely in my future. But yeah if that’s where the Lord is leading you go for it! I started small though and built up to the 7 days.

I’m not gone lie I was bout to leave and God said just listen and my oh my IM A AUTISM MOM! And same struggles and I wholeheartedly believe this is a GOD THING for me and her dad to grow
Needed this. Started off strong at the top of the year reading my Bible from the beginning and taking notes in my Bible. Fast forward I’m now in 2 Kings and I haven’t been taking notes or reading daily(I have to catch up most days )like I was since the start of the books of Samuel. It’s like I’m losing steam or motivation. Thank you for being vulnerable about these things.
Get the book called THE STORY( NIV), I promise you it’ll change the way you read/understand the Bible… the book THE STORY is the Bible in chronological order. It’s changed my life and I recommend it as often as I can!

Thank you for delivering a message out of obedience! Expressing the difficulty pushes people. Being a perfect representation of God is inevitable unless we are Jesus but striving for it is absolutely possible. Learning that seeking God in all of our ways will add or deposit his ingredients into our lives brings so much excitement. I can truly strive and receive spiritual awareness-strength. Nothing is too impossible for my God even if it seems impossible to me. I’ll just have to say “yes”. In the fear, anxiety, not wanting to do it -“Yes”! Spiritual discipline is a true encounter, why wouldn’t I pause my ways for his ways?!

thank you for this! I was definitely convicted lol. I was just scrolling on UA-cam & this video just popped up. Jesus has really been getting on me with my discipline when it comes to him. It is a daily struggle for me. It’s very hard, but I’m trying. Thank you beautiful for this❤️ also, the story about your son had me teary eyed at work. I just had the Lord reminding me he does the same with me. Sometimes he puts us through trials & doesn’t allow us to move forward until we are obedient. & he also reminded me that he doesn’t like seeing us hurt and crying, but it’s only because he loves us so much. Thank you Jesus.

My son has Aspergers (he's now 25 years old) and I treated my son the same way... he was no different from others because I knew he was capable. But boyyyyyyyy, does it take discipline and time. This was very validating for me. 🙏🏽

He is a man and he says to honor & worship his FATHER not him and you have to keep THE HEAVENLY FATHER'S commands to be considered righteous.
