I think the part timers like Seb and Kalle will push really hard when the participate and the full timers may not be too wary of them for obvious reasons so I think Seb takes it

Points system wont affect the winner in the way you might think. I think I understand what youre thinking, but the winner will still be the guy who finishes the rally with the lowest overall time. So I think there might be a situation where the winner wasnt the one that scored the most points.
And the winner will be Ogier, if nothing happens to him, hell win, no one can match his pace at Monte

@@razor23ismhe has been doing it since he was 8 and needed to cool off and enjoy life while still being young and when you drive rally you dont have much time in between the events so you are basically just moving from one country to the next without taking a break

When it comes to this year's liveries, the M-sport Puma is by far the most beautiful car. I'm a bit angry with Toyota and those who decided to make their car black. Black color and a rally car do not go together at all. I've been following the rally since 1985, and I've never seen a factory team have a black car
Ah you see to me it looks more like a 90s-early 00's livery. Remember the black Subaru?
@@mrmagpiepromotionsI don't know that Subaru has ever painted cars black. The blue with yellow combination is synonymous with Prodrive and Subaru. I remember Legacy. They too had a white background with a green-blue-pink combination.

Can someone please tell me why one of the Rally2 Yaris' are not claiming points?
In WRC2 you can score on 7 rallies which of 6 best count towards the final result. You can pick the 7 rallies yourself and even if you did not pick the particular event you can still attend it.
In WRC2 they follow all the events in WRC. Drivers can register for points for 7 rounds and take their best 6 results of the 7 rounds they registered for points. This means that if you don't register for WRC2 points and win the rally, you will not be given 25 points since you didn't register for points, but you will be the winner of the rally2 classification. In JWRC it's different, its 5 rounds and the driver with most points out of the 5 rounds in the champion.

@@HassanIbrahimRally57 so then, if the non point claiming car wins, he gets no points but gets the position yeah? So does the second placed Rally 2 car get 25 points or less? (forgetting the effed up points system where by the 2nd placed guy on Sunday may have been 5th on Saturday)????
@@NigelsModellingBench In that case 2nd place would get the 25 pts, points are given out to the drivers who are registered for points, ex: Pajari gets P1 and Rossel gets P2 and Grayzan gets P3. Pajari wouldn't get any points since he isn't registered, so Rossel will get the 25 and Grayzin will get the 18. WRC2 will be using the old WRC format points. It doesn't look like the WRC format will stay for long as the FIA are threatening to change it after Monte it it doesn't work out.

What does part time driver mean? I get it that they do not enter every rally, but what do they do? Is it like personal thing or do they compete in other motorsport categories?
Depends on the driver, Lappi is spending more time with family, Ogier is retired so probably the same, Rovanpera is trying other things like drifting and sports cars and just recharging the batteries (he might be young but he started driving rally cars when he was like 9 years old), Mikkelsen I think is doing some WRC2 and other regional events.

Dirt Fish you need to stop being so laser focused on Rally 1 cars and pay more attention to Rally 2 cars because there are way MORE of them and way more competitive with more manufactures involved. That's the real championship here. Win Rally 2 and look at how many other cars / teams you have beaten.

Gotta say, that Puma is real nice. I like the Yaris too.
Love how everyone praises the new Yaris livery while I find it to be unimaginative and boring. Just a black car with huge "GR" letters and sponsor decals, that’s it. Hyundai is more or less the same as previous years, Ford however looks gorgeous!

Sorry, but I disagree! I personally enjoy seeing things shaken up a bit. It's nice to see some drivers make it back up to the top level (Mikkelsen, in particular), and I'm also looking forward to the again-crowded WRC2 field (go, Oliver!). I'm just excited for Monte! 😁
Hyundai looking like they got Toyota’s old livery now they don’t need it.
Really wish the cars would run with their DRLs on. Especially against the black Toyotas.

Don’t like the liveries. Hyundai looks bad, Yaris o love black but here it looks like an finished livery and not that nice.
Even Ford is not as nice as it was.

Need more different cars where Audi VW Subaru Mitsubishi something needs to change it's getting boring but I well always love WRC only for real drivers make F1 drivers look like Amateurs
