It's nice the Vrrl seem to be quite honourable in their own way, updating the index on the basis of the showing of the best of the best, rather than looking at the average.

Omg dude i love the idea of human-founded dojo on an interspecies space station! No doubt one of coolest HFY ive heard or read. More then that, idea of martial arts and physique difference between species is poorly expressed in HFY, but not here. Thanks for the story and thanks for the narration

    Wow.
The mechanics of how this aliens body works, it's musculoskeletal intricacies, and subsequent interactions with the CNS and it's secondary clusters around its body... Is horrifyingly close to being almost exactly the same as human anatomy layout. Lol

@shadowpoet4398 I'm a jiu-jitsu purple belt, and I practice muay Thai, and i did fencing for 7 years. I have videos of my competitions on my channel. I can tell you with experience that if you don't see it in mma, it doesn't work.
You don't see Kung fu, wing chun, Krav Maga, karate, or Akito. That's what we all, bullshito
You do see wrestling, catch can, sambo, jiu-jitsu, judo, boxing muay Thai, and kickboxing. The problem is that those aren't flashy. Flashy spinny circlie stuff you see on Avatar the last air bender doesn't work. Great show and great story, but the moves are better in an elemental magic story than real life.
      There's my 2 cents
I'd like to see your experience with "punching." Im sure you know there's a lot more to it than that if you have any experiance, and whatever "full body martial arts" are, boxing is it just as much as grapling like jiu jitsu.

    • @sleddog3092
      @sleddog3092 8 місяців тому

@shadowpoet4398 bro, I am a practiced martial artist. I have a purple belt in jiu-jitsu, I practice muay Thai, and I have practiced fencing for 7 years. You can see my competitions on my channel.
Idk what you mean by "full body" but if you know boxing, you know its about as full body as it gets like grappling
If you dont see it in mma, it doesn't work. That goes for karate, Kung fu, wing chun, Krav Maga, and akito.
Things you do see that work, are jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling, sambo, boxing, muay Thai, kick boxing.
As much as I like avatar, none of that stuff works when pressure tested. I honestly recommend trying martial arts and learning for yourself what works. It's fun and worth it. If there's no live sparing or rolling, then you need to quit and find another one.

    • @sleddog3092

@shadowpoet4398 idk why my comment keeps getting deleted, but I do martial arts. Jiu-jitsu, to be specific. My competitions are on my channel. I can also attest to boxing being more Than just punching. I've basicly done it all, including fencing.
And yes. There are martial arts that are called "bullshito" because they don't work. Basicly karate, Krav Maga, akito, Kung fu, wing chun...
If it isn't in mma, it doesn't work basicly.

The hilarious thing is that you actually believe your condescending bullshit. MMA is great if your entire fight follows rules, but it's almost entirely crap outside of the ring against someone who knows what they're doing.
