This certainly puts my "normal" civilian life into perspective. I am so proud of this woman and all who had to go through this. I will always thank all vets for their service. 🙏💕
Welcome Home and God Bless you. Hope you are getting better treatment these days. I was X-ray tech at the 71st Evac from Sept 67 to May 69. Shared many of your experiences. Strange how much you can forget and how much you will never forget.
Stationed at Fort Ord in between two Vietnam tours. 65-66, 69-70. The smell was not different than that of Korea. Was there when I was barely 18. Youngest granddaughter is in first nursing job BSN RN. Working Houston Methodist. Thank you for taking care of us. I was a patient 3d Field Hospital first tour.
These nurses weren't just practicing medicine, they acted like surrogate mothers comforting with their healing touch and also dishing out the tough love when necessary.
Having the opportunity to watch description of your Vietnam experiences , its hard to remember faces from people had served along with me, noticed your served in the 71st Evac. OR, if this is the case and if we coincide the time we both were there at same time, then be one of among other people been in my own surgical team, I was a Major and one of the triage officers been one of the surgeons. From my returned stayed on the reserves and switched to the AF retired in 1998, took advantage to further my surgical education and now I have an active Plastic Surgery Practice in Arizona, with a large family. enjoying a so far a good health and stable life. How I would hope your read this comment and thank for your dedicated Service God bless you
As a Veteran, my thanks to all of the efforts of keeping us alive under most trying conditions, can't be expressed enough.
It's one thing starting a war. It's another thing knowing how to treat those who served. I have total respect for this lady. I'm glad she made it.

God Bless You Abundantly Thank You for Your Service
I am so proud of having a long career as a nurse. I wish I had been old enough to go care for soldiers in Viet Nam.
