The ratnik shelter is a decent shelter indeed! Great at so many things! Lovely Russian EMR camp too. 😮💨🔥💯 great video my man keep it up! 👍
Cheers buddy, your bed roll up next I think
Jess is a rock star when it comes to surplus gear testing! Thanks for sharing my friend😎
My pleasure buddy
If i was a single bloke. This would be on my shelf. Very ingenious.
Nice
Ah man, that’s great! Enjoy, Brother. Cheers
Cheers buddy , how's the tarp working
@@RedBranchBushcraft It’s really nice. I have gotten to set it up once, but I have been pretty strapped for time. Got it packed and ready. Just need to catch up on a couple things.
@EnduranceRoom excellent stuff, getting time is hard
Very Nice.
Cheers buddy
Good man wooly
Nice
Are you encouraging yourself ?
this thing's cool!
Very cool
You could get them cheap as chips from russian surplus stores 25 to 35 delivered new got four at the time two for a mate of mine know you can not get them from russia because of the shit going down over there glad i got them when i did great multi bit of kit
Have fun enjoy it alb wooly
Nice one, cheers
That many options, are you still there playing with it? they have got expensive, but they do look like nice kit, it is surprising that the good ideas have not filtered into the US / Euro tarps.
Yes agreed, I wonder in the long run if they are good ideas ? Especially the ridge line , it was hard to get tension on it
@@RedBranchBushcraft Maybe they should have carried out the tape on the ridge to give a good tension on the ridge. with a double D ring. But I suppose that adds weight. Bruno does love to bring you a stick.
@neilwhite8131 lol, he loves it better when I throw them
Stihl frosty
Good man Bud
I'll TAKE AN AQUA QUEST OVER THAT P.O.S ANY DAY.....
AQUA QUEST TARPS RULE!!!!!
@@user-zi5lx6lx5k have you tried the ratnik?
Does aqua quest block ir detection and double as a litter for wounded cus it’s so durable
So it's just a hootchie but goofy
Lol, the goofy hoochie
you're still exposed to the ground with this shelter system, and no wind protection. the USGI ICS is a lot better.
It depends on how you set it up, but this way yes
Does ics block ir detection. This does
@improvisedsurvival5967 nice
@@RedBranchBushcraft yes has some coating on it the blocks thermal signature to ir devices. You can look it up if you don’t believe me. Basically if you wear it like a medieval cloak it’s gonna conceal your movement.
Not a fan. It seems to be over complicating something that should be simple. And what do you do when a part of it fails. Not a fan of having flappy bits, prefer my tarps to be taught along the edges
It seems to work so far , I wonder why their floppy, camo ?
Floppy to cover the join between two shelters?
@@stevemcdermott6199 yeah I get that, but when there is only one, if the wind and rain come in then the floppy bit will just be flicking drops further than if you had the edge taught
How is it gonna fail. The material it thick and strong as hell.so strong in fact it doubles as a litter for a wounded
@@improvisedsurvival5967 unless it's the guy lines
I have to watch twice, cause you f*^*ing crack me up!
You gotta do some homework with this man. Looks like two or more can be put together, but also looks like can maybe drop it down and close the ends to make a pup tent -like shelter?
FYI. FREE SOLDER make some awesome tarps with multiple tie offs. Really inexpensive for large stuff.
Appreciate. Like to see you do more with this on video maaan. 🫵😆
Brilliant thanks, free soldier, I'll have a look
This blocks thermal detection devices. Can be worn like a cloak more than just a tarp.
@improvisedsurvival5967 nice
