My issue with Erudax as a tank is I’m pretty sure I’ve had tentacles spawn on top of me because while im standing still killing the adds I’ve been randomly stunned
Great tip! Another one that is cool is spell reflect for warriors actually allows you to clear a single tentacle as well, which can be really useful in the small circle to give you more space to spread out.
Do you know if clearing the tentacle still triggers it to hit ? Because I bubbled and ran through the tentacles to clear as many as I can, but I think they kinda clapped all the people that were standing near them. I am not sure though.
@@milda877 I haven't noticed them hitting nearby players on removal, it's possible but they would also get stunned if that's the case so most likely there was some other damage going out at the time.
For master machinist - if your entire party goes into the far right corner, you can negate all but 1 mechanic. You can stand still backed into the wall and dodge EVERYTHING. the only thing you have to move for is the fire orb the big guy shoots from his arm. And the boss will ALWAYS jump right next to you so ANYONE can get the ranged interrupt. You’re welcome!
Fun fact: Erudax in Grim Batol, Warrior's spell reflect can 'reflect' the tentacles currently. Not sure if blizzard plan on changing this or not but a war spell reflect can be used to clear out some tentacles.

Don't the orbs in necrotic wake only silence now? I think they removed the damage portion And in City of Threads they just patched Splice to be 3 seconds shorter, so you don't have it ticking anymore when the slam or umbral weave come out
My understanding was the orbs still did damage but definitely could be wrong. The majority of the value comes from the triple spears though, so that should be enough to help you quickly kill the abom and 1 or 2 phase the boss himself. Saw the Splice nerf this morning, very nice to see those spooky overlaps twice per phase be entirely eliminated hahaha, that boss will not be significantly easier!
For final boss ara'kara you can cheese the singularity mechanic with a good amount of classes. Rsham if you have gust, you can just run in wolf form and gust just as the final pull happens, you won't get sucked in. Pretty sure this would also work for hunter disengage, mage blink, voker pseudo blink etc etc.
As a mage, you can Alter Time when the boss starts sucking, and then revert it right when the biggest pull occurs (~0.5s before the end of the cast). Easier to pull off than using Blink.
For the machinist bosses in stonevault, do you know the cheese strat? I taught Quazii tonight. Was curious why I hadn’t seen more guide makers talk about it
The Stitchflesh boss is very punishing. If you or one of your member fked up on the first pull with spears there is no second pull without spears by just dismiss the party.
Yeah that's always been the most frustrating part of Necrotic Wake, honestly wish they would've just removed the weapons and tuned the dungeon down to compensate.

Definitely a tough boss with so many healing absorbs going out on the group, think it just got a bit overshadowed by the last boss absolutely crushing people hahaha. I recommend handling it similarly to that final boss, starting in one corner and soaking to fill it with puddles, then slowly rotating around the room as you fill in that space. Defensives of course on the channeled AoE along with healer throughput. Just gotta be careful not to get hit by the 8yd circle the boss puts down!

Stitchflesh orbs are pointless except for affix cus they just kick The spear is useful with lust though. The damage ramps up the longer the add lives so based on your healers hps/mana kill add to get fresh stacks
The orbs also deal damage on top of interrupting, so if you're trying to burst the boss down the best time to use them is in combination with the triple spear damage amp.
Definitely not needed, but the DoT itself can be quite overwhelming on 5 players at the same time, so the more dispels you have the more damage your group gets to mitigate.
As a healer I take the poison totem when I'm playing with my own group, it's easy to call it in advance and have people position themselves properly and press it once everyone's ready On pugs though the waves will 100% kill people, overall the boss doesn't really require that much healing so you might as well press them on the poison
100%, one of the biggest perks of running with guildees is actually being able to communicate what's going on if someone doesn't know what to do. You just dont get that in most PUGs unfortunately.
The Machinist boss cant be supposed to be like that? Feels bugged out atm. No time to react ans to use a cheese spot doesnt seem like the way. But thank you for the tip!! Like this I might be able to pug it lol. Great content!

No one talking about how these bosses are chunking geared tanks as seen at the beginning of the city of echoes boss portion. Looks like 2 hits almost kill you instantly.
They are definitely tough, but also to be fair I walked into the boss with no defensives or ironfur stacks up, plus technically being around 615ilvl for this stuff is about at the expected gear, maybe even a little lower than expected since you can get hero track starting at +7s. Gotta remember it's still week one and most players doing this content are 20+ ilvls below where they'll be a few weeks from now, which is a MASSIVE difference.
Holy hell how do you guys have time to get to plus 9 ive been playing since season one launch about 3 hours a day to lvl and gear up to 600 plus not even close to this.
you can do +9 and 10 with 600 ilvl for sure, just need to do everything correctly and get a good healer lol, some +10 might not be doable in time though
Totally fair! In that case you'd still just save up 3 spears and use the damage amp with your cooldowns (and lust if you have it) and it's the same effect.

pretty sure no tanks needs the pool, they can either leap away, intervene, use death advance, roll, transcendance, etc
@@dariominiello9934 DK Tanks def dont cause of Deaths Advance, but every other tank needs to have a pool so they dont get sucked into the AoE and die.

Yeah the tentacles start to spawn during the AoE channel, so it can be tough to see them under all the adds/ground effects!
Beautiful fact: in case you don’t know, as a Dk on Erudax, you can AMS and clear tentacles. Hope this helps someone!

cloak of shadows as rogue. pop cloak and sprint and run through all the tentacles.
@@Tactyks Unless they changef something in the last 2 days, Spell Reflection allows you to keep on clearing for it's entire 5 sec duration.

@@Ibl33s the buff stacks. best way is to use 2 and then use a third late to extend and make it a triple stack

The stonevault overlap seems like a bug to me.
Definitely would not be surprised if they adjusted timings to get rid of it because it's extremely painful if you don't get lucky.
I had a great idea to use enchanting powder on euradax to make him translucent so you can see the tentacles but of course it doesn’t work.

On last boss akara, did you use a macro for shapeshifting? seems like you changed so fast out and in again in bearform.
I didn't check but it's probably the talent "Fluid form". It makes it so pressing "rake" or "mangle" instantly change you into cat/bear respectively.
