  • This is a clip from one of my favorite movies "Banjo On My Knee" from 1936. Yes the storyline is weak and some of the acting is horrible, but I love the story anyway and I love all of the great music! It is set in New Orleans. This clip features Barbara Stanwyck (Pearl Elliott Holley) singing "Where The Lazy River Goes By". She is joined by Joel McCrea (husband, Ernie Holley) on the harmonica.

    @annsh45 She ended up back on the houseboat with her husband and Granddad finally got to play the St. Louis blues on his contraption while they were making him a Grandbaby.
