Nice placement of "BLUE" in the blue difficulty and "GREEN" in the green one! I solved all but the blue category, which I couldn't figure out before it was revealed. I'm going to tell myself that the 'blue-blooded' thing is what blocked me!
I got tripped up trying to put Cactus and Hedgehog in the "things that are blue" category, considering Sonic is the only hedgehog I know on a first name basis.
In the UK at least, north of England especially, it's a slang adjective for something sexual. For example, a blue movie or a blue joke. I don't know that I'd use erotic as a direct synonym though, I only got that category by process of elimination.
You make me feel better. I find Connections difficult. If practice makes perfect, I am not improving. Guess I should be more thoughtful and take more time solving the puzzle.
Probably your longest connections on UA-cam. It was tough for me but because of the blue category! I got the yellow and green, then took awhile until realized the spines
It's funny how just shifting from the adjective "spiny" to the noun "spine" brings the category together. You did better than me: I got the yellow and green categories quickly, but then couldn't make sense of what was left. Without having a clue of the categories, I ended up just guessing the four adjectives (blue), and the four nouns (purple), which proved to be right.
This was a hilarious solve for me. Got the yellow category instantly. The green category I got mistakenly by going "_____ + Tree" and I know it doesn't make any sense. The blue category was also a mistake, thought it meant "a person's character" in a story or something. Gave up on guessing the purple category, it was fun learning all of this anyway, and as always Chris is just a master.
I got lucky with these today. I got Yellow right away. For the blue one, I just picked adjectives. Then random luck with the green ones that I picked Forest instead of Cactcus.
The category you got first was the only one I didn't get at all. I had no idea "blue" could mean erotic, as I tend to think about a "red light district" in a city. The association with "noble" gave me pause too, although I guess they were using a less obvious synonym for "royal" ( which is also associated with purple). All in all, a category I didn't spot. I did get stuck for a while on garnishes or martinis, like Chris did, but saw no fourth possibility.
i recognized olive, mint and lime as colours right away, but it took me a while to also think that they are all shades of green, i was thinking that it's food-that-is-also-colour
I had trouble with the purple category, mostly because I was also thinking of "spiny things". And because a book and a skeleton don't have *spines*, they have ONE spine... But at least I got the others
I love that this puzzle is so tricky because it relies on two definitions of "spine" - a backbone, and also a spiky needle - to make the purple category work.
I credit DMC floss and crochet yarn colors with giving me the greens. The procession was easy. Then I came to a grinding halt. Chris does it on camera. I suffer and wince alone. Horrible either way when you just don't see any connection.
Green and yellow were easy to me. Blue one... democratic and sad, ok. But noble is blue? Could understand thinking of royal blue (a colour). But erotic is blue??? What is this And the purple one... I "knew" cactus and hedgehog were together, but did not knew the connection.... Spines 🤦♀️ But the were you find the purple one was great! In the end you knew all of them! 😅
I got the yellows easily, then noticed there were only 4 adjectives so guessed them and somehow got the blue category (which i dont even know how erotic and noble are blue), thought Lime/Mint/Olive/??? was garnishes and guessed forest because its the only 4 plants and got it by sheer luck, and i knew skeleton/book have spines and hedgehog/cactus have spikes, so somehow I got it perfect with no mistakes

The most entertaining one, yet. I love that he puts himself out there!

Amy Rose: *Am I a joke to you?*
(Tales is a fox and Knuckles is an echidna, of course).

Yes, this was tough for me but it was because of the light blue category for me which you got right away.
Nice to see the maestro struggle a bit. He is at least a little bit human.
stunned that you got the ones i struggled with almost immediately but couldn't remember that mint and lime are both green 😂 was yelling at my phone sm
PHEW. You had me worried there for a second. 🤣 You're good, man. Happy Friday.
He's not AI after all!
Keep it up Chris, always a fun watch.
I have no idea what the connection between blue and erotic is.

@@thatwishbonefellow We use the same terms in the US too ("blue movie," "blue joke") to indicate that something is erotic or sexual
This threw me -i understand blue referring to something sexual, but not "erotic". Erotic and sexual are not synonyms to me in this context.

only got the first two, didn't know Democrats were blue! that's one for the USA ..
It’s nuts that the first you got I would’ve never gotten and your last two were my first I did

I was sure of Garnishes being a category, so I Googled if cactus can be a garnish and got enough results that I was convinced. 😔
That's amazing that you got the blue category first.. that was the last one I got and I had no idea lol
i recognized olive, mint and lime as colours right away, but it took me a while to also think that they are all shades of green, i was thinking that it's food-that-is-also-colour

Really tough one today, I was blindly guessing after getting the yellow straight away
Spiny was the only possible thing I could think of for hedgehog and cactus and they clearly didn't go with the others so I got it from that.
Gg! Finally a puzzle that stumped you, and not even for that long (I mean you basically had it from the start 😂)
Need to spend some quality Crayola time. Greens would come right to you!

Today was very tough I only got the yellow and green categories very easily. But failed to see blue and purple.
I was left with the blue category which I should have got but although I understand it clearly it didn't occur to me.
that was painful to watch lol
