This song...this freaking song, deserves SO much MORE of everything

  • @saiarsh
    @saiarsh 8 років тому +115

To those wishing for a translation, this is my own:
Searing like flames, remembering the life that once was
Robbed is the mind, crushed, only shards remain
The thoughts wander, expelling his soul
The wind has gone silent, now a slave to madness
Carving for ill deeds, carving for extinguished life
The day shall come, through blood eagle - from pain be freed
The thoughts wander, nourished by hate
The raven has gone silent, captured in halls of madness
    (Chorus)
Fall to your knees towards the judgement stone
A life for a life, in blood eagles rite
Fall to your knees, meet the falling sun
Winged death by the might of the spear
    Blood Eagle (3x)
The gazes are lowered as the ground is drenched
Calm is the song of fate
In the light of flames, towards the dance of shadows
See the end in Raveneye's gaze
    (Chorus)
Fall to your knees towards the judgement stone
A life for a life, in blood eagles rite
Fall to your knees, meet the falling sun
Winged death by the might of the spear
    (Chorus continued)
Fall to your knees, villainous children
    The raven's wine now colours...
    ...colours the cold soil red
Fall to your knees, towards suffering and death
Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth
Blood eagle's rite, the era of retribution
Falling to my knees in the river of swords
A life for a life, the mind now at peace

If the story of the song makes no sense to you through those lyrics, then what I've gathered is that it's about a man who has had his life ruined, but finds peace by carving a blood eagle on the person who ruined him.

The Picture is an global representation of the ragnarok: At center we can see the moon with an wolf face , its the hati's face, one of the two managarms. Behind the moon there is an man who is fighting with an giant serpent : its Thorr and Jormungandr , thorr in ragnarok will die with his venom after his victorious fight. We can see at 0:50 an the fight with loki against heimdalls. At 0:43 We can see Odin riding his horse named sleipnir and fighting against Fenrir (fenrir will win this fight) , at 0:31 its hel and her brother, fenrir. In this scene there is many magma and flames cause of surtur , one of the only survivants, surtur is an giant , the gardians of muspellheim. He wants to purify the world in flames. In this scene there is Two ravens : its the two odin's ravens : munin (memory) and hugin(thinking) they see all what odin wants to see. We can see many warrios fighting : its the einherjars , the died vikings who cames to valhalla before the battle. They will fight against themselves cause when freya will die, all the ideas of friendship or love will fall. So brothers and sister fights , father against sons, Huscarls against masters... Its an chaos.
I wanted to give an description of this picture cause its ,In my opinion, one of the best tributes for the ragnarok. Only one important thing is not here : Yggdrasil. The tree during ragnarok Collapses and die. So i think one died tree could have been good to represent. I hope to help you to Unsdertand this video. And sorry if my english is not prefect, i'm french. :)

+Elif Tekin The lyrics are about an old norse ritualistic execution/torture method called the blood eagle. The condemned would have their spine exposed and ribs severed from it, and then pulled open to resemble wings. Then the lungs were exposed, and in some instances covered in salt (or torn from the body completely, depending on where you read about it) and the prisoner would die.
      But I agree, beautiful song.

    • @stianfiskermann2919
      @stianfiskermann2919 8 років тому +3

Carving eagle, that was maybe our worst torture method, and it was rarely used, only a few could to do. You break the ribs at the back, while victim lays down forward. Then you would elevating him by his hands, and also legs to get it in rite angle[if remember right here on last part]. Your lungs would fall out the backside, and you would slowly pass.
It's documented a couple of place, people burned them self alive, bloting them self to Óðinn to avoid this destiny. Suicide is only accepted in extreme circumstances. Most that do go the horrible home called Niflhel.

The colour of the Moon is either white, yellow, blue or red. It depends on the sunlights and other planets lights (even the Earths) (back-)reflection and the gravity course, which is also important to the size of the Moon. The so called Hunters Moon is a large, almost touchable appearence, mostly white or yellow, sometimes red or blue. The red Moon is called Blood Moon. It is mostly appearing while the red light phase on around June the 21st. The Hunters Moon appears all few months. Some years do not have a appearance of it.
Wolves usually do not go for a hunt, on while the Blood Moon is shining, because the bloom of a lot of nightflowering plants brings a lot of smells and insects. They have to be either hungry or in an area, where not many plants of that kind are. It mostly depends on the behaviour of the Alphas in the breed or pack (in which difference the behaviour allready is). But, bears love the red moon, while some deers have a red/green sight and some sorts of bees go out for pollen and leave the honey. The polar bear and northern wolf / husky or fox is different there, some do not care, some are stunned (depends on experience, I guess). They usually live in an world, where all is white and blue (green and black too, when it comes to Ursus Maritimus, a red - like infrared - vision is useful there, underneath the waters), but the blood of the prey.
I forbidd Humans to hunt with that knowledge, if they are not doing it with a camera and without guns. By my Lakota boys name Hump and my Inuit name Nanuq, I command you to sit, stay, roll over. Be humble. Never make profit out of hunting, either do not get profit by leading others to places or scouting them. Nore tell them more secrets as are allready told.
    Peace to a vanishing world.

Theoretically: Ragnar and Jarl Borg, having literally buried the hatchet (had to), could be drinking mead, together, in Valhalla, talking of old times.

Swedish is a very powerful language. If one of the Swedish people talked to me like this i would think he wants to kill me.But i like it just like German. By the way this music is awesome.

Check out these Google translated lyrics. I looked for a different source afterwards cos I was pretty sure this song isn't about a rabbit called Blood Ears.
    Pain like fire
    Minnenom life was
    Deprived mind is
    crushed, only
    debris left
    thoughts wander
    while
    His soul
    The wind has died down
    Is madness servant
    Ristar for nid
    Ristar of extinct life,
    the day will come
    through blodörn
    from qualification get free
    thoughts wander
    nourished by hatred
    Raven has silenced
Capture in the Van der Valk Hall
    [Chorus]
Fall on the Knee to the
    Rabbit
    One Life for
    One Life
    in the Blooders' Draw
    Fall on Knees
    Meet the Sun's Fall
    Resounded Death
    Of The Spear's Power
    Blood ears[3x] The
    eyes are lowered
When the ground is drowned, it's
    quietly
    The song of the
oath In the fire of the fire to the
    shadow of the shadows
See the end of the corpse's eyes
    [Chorus]
Fall on the knees against the
    Rabbit
    One life for
    a life
    in the blood-string's ritual
    Fall on the knees
    Meet the sun's fall
    Winged death
    By the spear power
    [Chorus]
    Fall on knees
    Nidingar's children
    Corps wine now color
    Colors the cold ground red
    Fall on knees against
    pina and death
    Eye to eye
    Tooth tooth
    Blind eagle's ritual retribution time
    (Falling on knees
    In the sword's
    A life for a life
    in mind now peace)

There are.. oh english... they got auto texting on them. I like the icelandic one! You can pick up some icelandic! See where a lot of your language comes from. Our scientists have classified you as a scandinavian dialect, something that has been obvious to us all for years. Part if your speak icelandic/ON and mainland dialects help too. Nynorsk ie (our 2nd written mainland language)
