- I've been a big fan of the Shure SM7B for years now but the Lewitt LCT 240 Pro may have just changed that!

Couldn’t agree more. I review microphones as well…I have both mics and the LCT 240 pro is my absolute favorite! So crisp, clear, vibrant and the presence is so nice! And so way to EQ as well!!!
I just bought this mic myself so looking at some reviews and I just want to say, this is a top quality video, definitely more than earned the subscription.
This was helpful! I’m definitely thinking of upgrading from yeti to a lewitt now 🤝 thanks!
I love the Lewitt condenser mics as well, it's an end game mic for sure.
Hey man do you have a VST best practices video for the Shure SM7B?
I’ve been really looking at this mic a lot lately , kinda want to try it
AKG was bought by Samsung, and some people left the company and founded Lewitt in Austria.
This is at least what I have heard. Very reasonable and well presented!
What do you think about the self noise of 19dba with the Lewitt? Does the noise get into your recordings?
Did you test the SM7b with the different sound profiles(switches at the rear of the mic)?
Shure SM-7 (as all dynamic mics) is front/end address mic. Lewitt LCT 240 is a large diaphragm condenser mic and is side address ( as all large diaphragm mics are)Just to make it clear :)
Which plugins did you use at 3:27 for the LCT?
Which would be better- Lewitt lct 240 pro vs. audio technica at2020 vs. at2035 or any other condenser mic for warm vocal (recitation) recording for a soft and low-voiced male voice?
Super curious about this too - for me, it's coming down to either the LCT240, or the AT2035.
Hell yeah was not expecting a Danny Carey mention lol
Thank you for this video!
I'm looking for my first mic and I almost bought an SM7b just for streaming and conference calls at work 😅
Do think that paying extra for Lewitt 240 and Elgato XLR audio interface over just the Elgato wave 3 mic is worth it?
Should I buy 440 pure
Both sound better without the plugins.
What that small echo in your audio ?
Just picked up the Lewitt for its price and versatility. I plan on using it for vocals and comparing it to my other mics in experiments with guitar and other instruments. Got it for 99 bucks and hoping it punches above its weight.
I definitely belive it does, but I'm excited to see what you think! Update us once you get it
You sound _so_ much better without that added bass.
Yes I agree! I've gone through andnstarted cutting basa down a bit In my eq. My voice has enough low end on its own
Thank you for you video, I have that lewitt mic but I hear a lot of sibilance sounds, that is not easy to listen, any ideas and how to reduce that?, I tried eq with no good results.
The Lewitt mics are pretty bright and not great for people with sibilance issues. Try a dynamic EQ VST and set it to reduce the gain on your specific sibilance frequency.
I never got the hype of the SM7B. If you have an SM58 and sound good on it, just save yourself 300 bucks and keep using it.
As for condensers, this LCT240 Pro is solid. Picked one up a couple days ago to try something different and it's pretty great. Wish the EIN/self noise was less but for 120 I'm not complaining. :) peace
i want to use with ableton, let me know effact chain what you used
Hii please suggest, compared to AT 2035,AT 2020 and Lewitt 240 Pro which one is best in terms of Quality for vocals and guitar???
Either the 2035 or lewitt both are great, I prefer the lewitt for its sound and look if that matters to you
@@StreamGearTalk 🥰Thanks
I realize you need phantom power for the Lewitt, but do you need a preamp booster like a fethead phantom?
Not at all! Condenser mics are powered by the phantom power so no need for a signal booster :)
@@StreamGearTalk Thank you
Still the sm7b sounds better! What about the 440 from Lewitt?…
Lewitt
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
SM7b is super overrated
accurate.
If you're going to use processed audio when doing mic reviews then at least show us the exact settings you're using on your VST plugins to get the sound, otherwise it's pretty much useless. Better still, don't process the audio at all.
You compare a condenser mic with a dynamic mic…is like comparing apples and oranges
