The Green Ember series is _somewhat_ similar. It uses rabbits instead of primarily mice, though from what little I read, it's still middle grade. We really do need more adult anthropomorphic xenofiction.
As someone who has been writing and worldbuilding a similar but independent woodland fantasy concept (complete with talking mice) for over five years- you have no idea how helpful these videos are. You help me delve so much deeper into the history and ecology of my own stories.
Evil Skaven be like: "hmm yes I will create a functional society that is not solely based on backstabbing and catastrophic levels of intentional/unintentional collateral damage yes-yes."
This channel is so underatted, I cant even imagine how much effort he put into this vid this is such good content and helped me so much with worldbuilding for my campaign
Its a shame that Bowlland did not counted as one of 7 empires considering its vast size and geopolitical power as the strongest trader and conqueror of the North
How did you go about the Naming process? I mean some names are pretty straight forward, but the more original names, like for the kings that even differ between languages, do you mind highlighting this once maybe?
hello stoney i would love this to continue i think frogs would be a cool nation within the bowlands, anything small really even if the frogs acted as steeds of the mice
I kinda want you to cover the modern history of Thorvheim, an Eldham town in Iremith (my hometown for the past year) that has faced many things such as raiders, a religious battle, and even a flower plague. Love the video!
I found this world-building project fascinating. I always think of human-scale, if you will, worlds, never have I thought of a world building project that was about mice until now. Glory to the mice!
Imagine if at least a single human entered their entire world and then hunt many animals that are considered dangerous to the mice and then seeing the same human taming cats and wolves would be considered awe inspiring and very scary to some mice.
I love watching videos about stoneworks server but sadly I can’t play it because I don’t have a device for Java addition but if you make a bedrock version I promise I will join it
I was just searching for that! It would make a great low fantasy world. With the right mechanics you could even run it in an old city or Chernobyl for a dystopean/post-apocolyps feel
Okay, I am positive these images were generated with AI programs. Practically every one of them has immediately recognizable warps, distortions and inconsistencies that make them distracting from the rest of the image.
did you paint it yourself or use an ai because its amazing oh nevermind i just saw a mouse with too many fingers that grew into its hands and one with a few to many ears so its ai
I'm most intrigued, It is a charming world and in some ways reminds me of Spiderwick. Though, Just my personal thoughts, The AI images sort of kills a bit of the aesthetic for me. Ultimately it's up to you but, I would transition to your own works or commissioned work in the near future when possible. Perhaps even community art events for the setting works as that is what biblaridions Alien Biospheres did.
Hey, I'm a fan of this channel. I've enjoyed your past videos, and I really like this setting. I can't stand the AI art, though. Others have mentioned it, and I'm sure you've heard it plenty by now. If you simply don't care that the art you use is taken from uncredited, uncompensated artists, that's up to you. I doubt that, though. You're a passionate artist yourself. I understand the appeal of AI art- it's cheap, easy, high quality, and perfectly fits your whims. That's cool stuff. Perfect for worldbuilding. It's unethical, though. If you used one of David Petersen's images in this video, I'm sure you'd credit him. That's the least we can do when we benefit from or otherwise utilize a person's art. We can't credit artists whose work is mish-mashed by AI. As much joy as their work brings us, they get no recognition nor pay for it. This isn't right. Artists deserve recognition, if not pay, when their work is used. I'm sure you'd feel the same way if this setting were stolen and reworked for some tabletop company's product, overshadowing your own work. In that situation, though, you'd probably have some means of suing. Artists contending with AI don't. If you're worried that alternatives to AI art would be expensive or bring in fewer views, I get it. I urge you to have faith in your community, though. They aren't here for pretty pictures. They're here for your thoughts. It'll be fine if you have to express those thoughts via MS paint- the content that your viewers want will still be there. Regardless, you may decide that a polished look is more important to you than integrity. Keep in mind what kinds of viewers that would leave you with, and what content you'll have to make to retain them. I don't mean this in a rude way: I genuinely hope you put some thought into this before you tarnish your reputation.
Honestly now I just want a full series detailing some sort of far off future where humanity has completely vanished and at least some animals have evolved to gain full sapience and now live among in a world where one can find traces of "giants". We saw how some mice live, but what about animals like say, Pigeons, imagine a civilization of Pigeons in the ruins of New York, the legends they would have of when their ancestors freely walked alongside the lost giants in one of their greatest cities. What about domesticated dogs, certainly some would likely die out but those who didn't? Tales of days long past when entire lines would be dedicated companions to single giants or their families. How about crows or pigs, animals that are known to be extremely intelligent even today, what would they become?
A creative setting with lots of thought put into it, just a bit of a shame that you didn't support other creatives by commissioning them for the visuals, and instead you relied on AI generated images.

Still Listing to the video idk if you built this setting or not but so far I'm enjoying it
Hey Stonie can you make a video about world building ideology or language
I love the taste of raw mice
The Mouse is soooo sweet. Piep piep looks like my mouse that I have Jerry and Cherry.

Ah yes, the final form of Stoneworks lore building, mouse-posting.
We went from righting advice to Minecraft to mice civilization. Truly the best channel evolution
I appreciate the worldbuilding better than the Minecraft stuff.
I love the mice posting.
ah yes, the famous kudromh anguth-ruthinh also known by his epithet, "the fucking idiot". stoney never ceases to surprise
An idea for a future video
The mice find some model trains (probably G scale) in the landfill mountains and thus begins their industrial revolution
Oh yes
It reminds me of the "Red wall" series. I wish there were more stories like this.

I found the Mouseguard books to be excellent.
loved this series
I would love more worlds akin to Redwall. Where Medieval Woodland Animals create and live in civilisations and the stories that come from that.
As someone who has been writing and worldbuilding a similar but independent woodland fantasy concept (complete with talking mice) for over five years- you have no idea how helpful these videos are. You help me delve so much deeper into the history and ecology of my own stories.
Did you publish anything yet?
@@maxpower9546 i didnt want to mention it because i felt it was advertising advertising on someone else's channel, but i have a webcomic
I like the idea of giant is human, and magic is some kind of plastic or battery/eletricity that they left behind

It's probably because they are considered barbarians by the common folk, because they don't reside within the forcefield.
You're allowed to just write Redwall fanfic, it's okay
R.i.p. Brian Jaques
I still miss you
Hey Stoney, thanks for being cool and funny. That’s all.

The whole thing comes together with the images. Great World building. Love to have a TTRPG for this!
It’s always a good day when you upload my G.
I'm confident when I finally get on the server, I'll be able to create some great stuff. The lore here is already so fleshed out.
I kinda want you to cover the modern history of Thorvheim, an Eldham town in Iremith (my hometown for the past year) that has faced many things such as raiders, a religious battle, and even a flower plague. Love the video!
Is it on the fandom

Rat-men? You’ll be hearing from the inquisitor soon.
Oh my god... Is this based on the same idea as the secret of nimh? This is so adorable 😅
magnificent, love to see how the bowlland become in the age of the 7th empire
Imagine if at least a single human entered their entire world and then hunt many animals that are considered dangerous to the mice and then seeing the same human taming cats and wolves would be considered awe inspiring and very scary to some mice.
