I've seen this dozens of times but I just noticed at the beginning some lady in the audience goes "aww" at seeing the robot. She had no idea what she was in for. Anyways, I love how he describes teaching the thing in terms of a realistic abuse cycle. Like, my god, it actually gets worse. What a ride.
Eh, that was probably the least offensive and most accurate portrayal so far, but it's important to note that LESS THAN HALF repeated the cycle of sexual abuse. Recidivism is at much higher rates for other kinds of abuse because sex abuse is intrinsically more vile and less natural to do than say verbal abuse or just violence.
There is a bit of truth to the old adage "Hurt people hurt people". Many victims of abuse never go on to be abusers themselves, but the vast majority of abusers generally start as victims first. That's exactly what the "Cycle of Violence" is all about. (I'm using the term abuse in a broad sense, not necessarily referring to any one specific type)
Well you know, the scooby doo villains are usually just someone trying to commit insurance fraud or something, not a supervillain anyway. They're just willing to go the extra mile and dress up in a ghost costume and chase around any teenagers that trespass on their property to maintain the narrative that it's haunted.

@@kevindiaz3459 yeap, and a great hiden (?) joke was calling it "the robot-chomo", as chomo is prison slang for child molesters, and we know very well how they are loved in prison. (even serial killers are considerated 'better' people... idk, as a non native english speaker it hit me as i actually got the reference).
He did invent the most evil invention.... I mean I cannot think of how that robot can benefit humanity in anyway. Freeze ray could fix the polar ice caps and the shrink ray could allow the creation of smaller electronic parts to make computers with quintabytes (if not more) of storage and processing power cheaply.
My favorite detail of this whole thing is the fact that Roy's outfit is more basic and has a simple bright blue while the other's have gloves, goggles and dark colors. It shows how Roy is more casual and realistically evil [well, as realistic as building a child molesting robot is] unlike everyone else who are cartoonishly evil and try hard 😂
I like how everyone else had evil voices as they were pitching their invention accept for the Rock who just went up with a casually normal peaceful tone and pitched a robot that molests children.
It makes sense in a way. Not the fact that it’s a human-sized robot that costs pennies to produce (that makes no sense), but because it could be seen as commentary on morality. Humans are bastards. It often takes incentive for us to do the right thing, but we don’t need much goading to commit acts of evil, or do things the lazy or cheap way (which in turn results in evil and/or disaster). Dumping nuclear waste in the ocean, not following safety regulations on a worksite, putting dangerous crap in people’s food... you get the idea. Evil comes cheap.
The silence after that line has always interested me. Those audience members were unprepared for a fact like that coming up in a sketch. They were prepared to laugh, not to be reminded of the horrors created by a past fascist dictator.
This skit genuinely caught me offguard and I was busting out laughing because of it. I wouldnt expect this at all from SNL but good lord this was hilarious. The Rock pulled it off perfectly.

To be fair, a blizzard in July would be devastating for harvest. Causing a famine, widespread starvation and death could be much worse than a child molesting robot. As Roy said, it can molest twice as many children in half the time. So it's about equivalent to four child molesters which is terrible but not on the same scale as thousands of starving children. Though he did mention Robo-chomo costs pennies to manufacture so a legion of them could be worse.
