the time for an anime of this has long passed. They should have released it by the time of the Snes trilogy era or wen this game was released, wen the series was at the peak of popularity. But now, I guess it would be a complete flop. And remember, they did an anime for exe and ryussei and almost 60% of them was useless filler, so I guess is a good thing there's no anime of X.

Well, the first trilogy was focused in X [And PSX/Saturn X3 had anime cutscenes focused on X, just without voice acting] X4 to X5 is focused on Zero. Then X6 and X8 is more of a "let's do the things right together this time!" with X and Zero sharing equally the protagonism. [X7 won't count, except for Axl debut]
Capcom celebrates the 10th anniversary of megaman that's why they made anime cutscenes in megaman 8 (released on december 1996) and megaman x4 (released on august 1997)
the reception of the horrible english dub from this game and Megaman 8 may be the biggest reason why,. No wonder why X5 have silent cut scenes and for X6 Capcom just kept the japanese voice acting.

If you're talking about Zero's voice actor here, then I disagree. He still sounds way too young to play the likes of Moon Knight or Vision. Now if he could maybe modify his voice in order to sound more adult, then probably.
I know there's probably a huge amount of nostalgia to it, but to me this is seriously one of the best piece of action japanese animation ever made, there isn't a single moment of lazy animations or models or visible budged cuts, it's just very consistent well made, and most of all character models, their faces, the armors, the settings it all looks just absolutely beautiful, just fucking amazing...and of course a laughing psychopath Zero is always a plus!
It is about X uncovering his true purpose, and in the end, how he ultimately needs to destroy Zero. X3 Ending, true story. Starting with this game, you get to see Zero's side of things, and really get to understand him. Screw Megaman Zero, X was made to kill Zero, and vice versa.
This needs a re-dub for the upcoming Legacy Collection with better directing and better actors. I would be darned if some of them turned out to be actors from famous cartoons. That would be dope.
Now that i think about it. Why would Wily decide to switch Zero's objective from destroying MegaMan to destroying X? I mean, X was still in the process of being created during 20XX. So, could that mean that MegaMan was already offline when Light was close of finishing X?

I maybe judge it wrong, but i have a strange feeling that these are Mega Man's remains?... 0:52 if theorists could confirm this, then we could clearly say that Zero killed Mega Man.
No, Zero never woke up in the classic era. Wily left him sealed because a cognitive flaw made him a psycho and he'd be the first victim. He stored the Maverick Virus in the capsule which leaked from it when Zero woke up in 21XX and infected him making him good (I guess the headache is when it started affecting him), and Sigma was also infected since he was nearby but was made bitter and angry by it until he decided to rebel against mankind. The dead robots are all the Maverick Hunters that found Zero before Sigma arrived. Also it's stated Zero was unknowingly infecting more and more Reploids while he was going around doing hero stuff.
nobody ever found out what happened to Megaman later on.. it wasnt explained at the end of the series, and not even at the beginning of the X series.. it remains a mystery as Capcom is not likely care about this franchise anymore
Mappster Those are the remains of thr Gamma unit that Zero slaughtered when he reactivated, its never stated he destroyed Megaman and if he did who would have stopped him then?, thats one plothole this theory cant answer, X couldnt since he wasnt complete and he was sealed right away after completion for the 30 year testing he needed to guarantee he was safe .

there is the theory that zero killed wily, bass, classic megaman and roll. dr light was already pretty old when he finished x and protoman could have just had his energy malfunction gotten worse and with no dr to repair him, he probably just stop working one day. but the maker of megaman said that when he made zero, he didnt create him with such a personality. but zero was a maverick, so anything that sigma has done (like manipulationg repliforce, x and zero, iris, doopler... and over all mass-murderer) zero could have done back then.
+Barry allen (The flash) I headcannon X and Zero fought 4 mavericks each and then they gone to the station toghether (Zero a bit latter because he stayed behind to fight Colonel... makes way more sense this way).
While Maverick Zero's scene was one of the "better" ones in english, the japanese voicework really makes it shine, even with the animation itself not being stellar.
Zero was actually created from roll, blond hair? emerald tits? Red and white color scheme? It's definatly not protoman. He had brown hair, no green in his color scheme (roll has a green ribbon) and no tits. also he was grey, not white.

No, Zero never woke up in the classic era. Wily left him sealed because a cognitive flaw made him a psycho and he'd be the first victim. He stored the Maverick Virus in the capsule which leaked from it when Zero woke up in 21XX and infected him making him good (I guess the headache is when it started affecting him), and Sigma was also infected since he was nearby but was made bitter and angry by it until he decided to rebel against mankind. The dead robots are all the Maverick Hunters that found Zero before Sigma arrived.
Also it's stated Zero was unknowingly infecting more and more Reploids while he was going around doing hero stuff.

it wasnt explained at the end of the series, and not even at the beginning of the X series.. it remains a mystery as Capcom is not likely care about this franchise anymore
Mappster Those are the remains of thr Gamma unit that Zero slaughtered when he reactivated, its never stated he destroyed Megaman and if he did who would have stopped him then?, thats one plothole this theory cant answer, X couldnt since he wasnt complete and he was sealed right away after completion for the 30 year testing he needed to guarantee he was safe .

there is the theory that zero killed wily, bass, classic megaman and roll. dr light was already pretty old when he finished x and protoman could have just had his energy malfunction gotten worse and with no dr to repair him, he probably just stop working one day. but the maker of megaman said that when he made zero, he didnt create him with such a personality. but zero was a maverick, so anything that sigma has done (like manipulationg repliforce, x and zero, iris, doopler... and over all mass-murderer) zero could have done back then.

It's definatly not protoman. He had brown hair, no green in his color scheme (roll has a green ribbon) and no tits. also he was grey, not white.
