Automation helps spin profits for silkworm farmers in east China

Silkworm farmers in east China's Huzhou City are using technology to drive down costs and scale up efficiency. From disinfecting the silkworm rearing beds, to chopping mulberry leaves, a large portion of work at this factory has been taken over by robots. Inside the rearing rooms, air-conditioners, humidifiers and temperature sensors provide optimal growing conditions for the larvae whose cocoons are spun into silk.
